"It's been a lot more stress than I care to admit. I taught her before I left for university. Then her current master suggested the idea of both of us co-teaching her. It's done great for my mental health."

It was an interesting experience for Shan to say the least. He was still getting to learn whilst also getting to teach. The best of both worlds for him, considering the Mirialan loved to learn new things and also loved to pass things onto the next generation of Jedi...Even if there were some that he had seemed to have a negative effect on such as Ben or Serina...Maybe it was unfair of him to compare Ben to Serina. Oh well.

"Don't think I've ever been to Naboo. Not sure if I'd fit in there. It's all nobility and fanciness. Meanwhile I'm just a back-alley nobody...I'm kidding, before you go on a speech about how I'm not "Nobody."

Shan broke out into a cheeky grin at that, holding his hands up in the air defensively. He did mean it when he said he wouldn't fit in though. Shan wasn't sure how someone raised on Nar Shaddaa, with very little experience with nobility or royalty would be able to fit in. The only experience he ever had with nobility was when he was made the waiter for a Sith Ball back when he was a padawan...

Nodding her head, "well, hopefully sharing the burden of teaching helps lower the stress for you." Lily had worked on training others with Echani combat and given lessons on what she took away from the Lightsaber combat styles since it was something that Lily was more naturally attuned to so she was more than happy to help out others who were struggling more.

However, taking on a student permanently, she was sure that there was a ton of stress and nervous energy that came in training the next generation of Jedi.

When Shan commented on the Naboo, Lily shook her head, "that's not all there is to Naboo. It is nature, tranquil and warm. The whole nobility and posh attitude, that is only a small part of the way of life. Just like it is on any world." Lily explained, "I think you should come visit and enjoy the differences to a place like this." Lily mentioned, Coruscant was very industrial in comparison and she knew plenty of Jedi were not a fan of how that felt. Colette in particular was someone who hated Coruscant.

"As for nobility and fanciness, as someone from that world. It isn't all the hype makes it out to be. At least from my point of view." Lily giggled softly.

"I'm sure it will. Iris seems like a great Master. She holds a lot of pain inside of her I think, but we all do. If I can help to make that pain easier for her by helping Zaiya, then I am happy."

Shan folded his arms along his front as his eyes focused on the sky above him. Lily had a point about seeing a new planet. Shan himself was sick of heavy urban based planets. Nar Shaddaa was his homeworld, then Coruscant had been his home away from them with the Jedi. He hadn't quite enjoyed visiting Fondor either. His enjoyment had always came from other worlds. New Cov was a prime example of that but he wanted to visit more...peaceful planets that were in tune with nature. Though in a way that was an oxymoron. Nature and Peace. Nature was well...naturally chaotic.

"I do plan on visiting more. To learn about more cultures and try to immerse myself into them as much as I can. My knowledge of the world is always limited by my own views and opinions. I want to open that up to the Galaxy. I am just one drop of water in the ocean of life...Am I getting too philosophical right now?""

Lily nodded her head, she hadn't met Iris before but knew the Jedi was at one point close with her own Master so there had to be some benefit of the doubt provided to the Jedi. "And same goes for you, if things are easier for you to share the burden and not take on all the stress of mentoring all on your own, then co-teaching is the ideal approach for you both. As well as making sure it is the path that Zaiya wishes as well." Lily mentioned, it was also important that it was something that Zaiya wished to explore.

She chuckled as Shan started going down a philosophical outlook on life, "just a little." Lily teased, "but it is good that you want to explore and wander the galaxy. It can help with teaching to explore and understand more of the galaxy that we inhabit." Lily mentioned as she leaned back on the ground, looking up at the sky. "Just let me know if you are coming to visit so we can plan to do some fun things together. Show you some aspects of Naboo that don't conform with your high and mighty view on Naboo."

Giving Shan a friendly nudge with a giggle.

"Teaching isn't much of a burden to me. At least when it comes to actually doing it. It's when it comes to figuring out what to teach that I struggle with. Self Defense, Force techniques, Lightsaber forms. There's far too much to choose from. I have so much in my head that I want to pass down to people but I feel like I don't have the time for it."

It was part of why he talked so much. Shan wanted to get his ideas out into the Galaxy instead of keeping them locked up in his head. If he could get at least someone to listen to his beliefs and his thoughts and have them learn from it, the Mirialan would be pleased. He glanced over towards Lily as she leaned against the floor and just gave a little cheeky grin.

"Will do. Need to find out more about the culture of Naboo anyway. Might see if I can't find Ko and ask hiim about the Baran Do. Perhaps I'll even do some request into the Luka Sene. I doubt they'd teach me anything directly but it still wouldn't hurt to see how their beliefs work."

He was personally opposed at the idea of keeping your beliefs to an individual species but Shan could understand the perspective. Perhaps he was only opposed to it because he was greedy for more knowledge. It's part of the reason he also had to keep that part of himself in check.

"Sounds like you are getting caught up in the details and not focusing on a simple weekly plan." Lily stated, studying the sky closely as she spoke, "when I train in the gym, I don't fret over what I should be doing that day or the fact that I should be covering lots of differing parts of my body to hone and fine tune. I make a weekly plan, make sure I cover a different section of the body to train on a different day."

Looking over to Shan, "perhaps you need to just sit down and make a plan for the week. Don't fret about how to cover everything, just fill different sections of the day with the lessons you think are the most important to cover." Lily suggested, her tone didn't seem overly concerned, believing what she was saying was simplistic in the truth.

"Not spoken to Ko in a while. Perhaps I should go visit him as well some day." Lily mentioned, realising that there were a couple friends that she could catch up with again some day soon. "Well, hopefully I can make your trip to Naboo but entertaining at the very least." Lily stated with a smirk on her lips.
