Terrijo Fate

"Your thought patterns betray you, Corsica. You seem to think that, for all that I could teach you about Jedi-hood and the Force, I'm some sort of Force-using droid; my master once claimed as much in front of other paddies. It's just that my... lack of emotionality can be a liability sometimes"

And now [member="Corsica Cinto"] made Jessica feel... strange with how people could still call her a Force-using droid. But not vexated. Not in the slightest, since there is no emotion, there is peace really is a thing with her. Sure it may feel good to her to be with a paddy that actually understands what Jedi-hood actually is about, and also how... empty orthodox Jedi-hood would feel. And how empty life as a Force-using droid would be, too. In the end, however, emotions must be kept in strict control or else they can become problematic, too. Strong emotions can be a burden, as much as a lack fo emotions can be too, albeit in vastly different situations.

And there she went. Thinking like a droid again. Haha. Ah. Poor [member="Jessica Med-Beq"] . Never change dear.

"Reading my mind eh? You cow. Nobody invited you there. Hehe."

Corsica smiled playfully. Knowing full well that she herself should probably keep a better leash on her thoughts around other Adepts. No matter how uncomfortable it was thinking about others browse your mind so casually. Bleh. How invasive and dirty that sounded. Gross.

She shrugged. Just kidding.

"Well. Nevermind all that then. Forget I said anything." Corsica placed her cup aside and moved to stand. "Right. You do you. And I'll do me. Hehe. It's probably the best that way anyway."

Mmm. Cinto took a deep wide breath and exhaled slowly. It had been a busy day indeed.

"Alright then. Guess I'll pack it in for the day. I hear the others are planning a trip out to Talasea in a few days. Mm. I suppose I should best be getting ready for the journey. I know my ship could use the oil change before then."

She dusted herself off and turned back to Jess,

"What about you Jess? Planning on sticking around here awhile longer eh?"

"I believe you're due for a little more autonomy"

Talasea was where the refugees from Dac ended up being, since Ceraluen couldn't host them all. But rumors of what the locals called dinosaurs were circulating among the Jedi; she knew there would be a few all-too-eager Jedi taking up on these rumors, oblivious to what the beast(s) actually are. And yet she couldn't feel but be happy for [member="Corsica Cinto"]; she was due for the next step in the journey to Jedi-hood. So it would be: before she went to sleep, as would Corsica, she would have to answer the padawan's question. Hopefully the schedule of gradual withdrawal would be kept and the Silver Service Corps would actually transition to the local authorities in time for the Terrijo residents not to feel they were conquered. She had no reason to linger much longer in this region, she had a clear idea of who's doing what and for how long, with some allowances for medical and military complications. But, by and large the remaining work left to be done was more routine work that didn't require Jedi presence to perform. Now that she was sitting on the bed...

"As for me, I'd probably accomplishing another mission, either on Talasea or somewhere else, I haven't decided just yet. What is for certain, however, is that I'm not staying on Terrijo much longer either" Jessica answered Corsica while yawning at the end.

Corsica nodded and felt to echo [member="Jessica Med-Beq"] 's yawn. Contagious they were. Yawns. Especially with night coming on so quickly.

"Very well. Then have a good night Jess. And... Force be with you."

She gave a slight bow and moved to take her leave. Closing another chapter and awaiting the beginning of the next.
