“After this, I'll cover dinner, okay?” Eleena whispered to her squadmates as they waited, seeing the somewhat bored expressions across their features as they waited for Trinity to receive her Warrant. “We’re almost there…at the…” Eleena yawned, drawing a girlish giggle from Lexi as she did. Nevertheless, it wasn’t much longer from there, with the last graduate before Trinity taking the stage only a few minutes later, to which Eleena piped up.
“Guys! It’s time!” She whispered to her three companions. Normally reserved and introverted, Eleena was more than willing to step out of her element when it came to Trinity. However, it also helped to have three more voices to add to the chorus.
“Ready…”
Then, as soon as the scientist appeared, a loud, raucous cheer sang out from the left-front section, as Bruz, Lexi, Isena, and last but not least, Eleena, raised their voices in exultation, clapping as they did. Eleena hadn’t told Trinity that she had called her family to the ceremony, wanting it to be a surprise.
Hopefully, it was a good one.
Waving to her girlfriend as she received her diploma, while Lexi recorded the moment for posterity, Eleena quieted down a few moments later when Trinity began her speech, but her companions didn’t hesitate to interject with cheers and shouts, Lexi more so than anyone else.
