  • Star Destroyer Argent Dawn
    Sigma Site

A barely-perceptible lurch was the only sign that the half-built Star Destroyer exited hyperspace. A brief transmission sent out identification codes which would mark it as friendly, over an encrypted channel. Sigma Site. A closely guarded secret, this was Wolfe's destination. The Argent Dawn wasn't due to join the fleet for another five weeks, but given the incident that had just occurred, the schedule had to be moved up.

Aboard the Star Destroyer, a situation was unfolding. A Jedi intruder had made a dramatic appearance and had attempted to escape with Lady Kay. Wolfe's people had, however, reacted swiftly to block their escape. Not that they could go anywhere, now that they reached Sigma Site. One fighter and one freighter wouldn't stand a chance against what was outside.

The Lord of Shrouds followed his officers at a brisk pace, escorted by the Wolfguards from his office. "Set blasters to stun. Do not fire unless I give the order," he instructed. Swiping his code cylinder against the turbolift's control panel, he used his override code to take control and call it back up. The strange Jedi and the Commenori official were due for a surprise. When they exited the turbolift, they would find themselves face to face with a wall of Wolfguards with blasters pointed right at them, Wolfe's officers and Wolfe himself. And with the ray shields in place, which only opened to allow the turbolift to go back up, there was no other way for them to go. Finally, lifting his comlink, he connected directly to the turbolift's intercom to talk to the occupants.

"My friends," he said. "Its over. Please don't make this even more difficult. The ship is on lockdown, all personnel is on high alert and we have full control of every blast door and turbolift aboard. And even if you manage to somehow get through all that, we have arrived at our destination. My entire fleet is here and you would never get through it without permission."

This time, Wolfe wasn't lying. An impressive fleet stood in formation at Sigma Site. It consisted of a wide assortment of ships, some of them lumbering behemoths at two or three kilometers long, capable of transporting thousands and thousands of passengers. Some had the distinct shape of tankers and massive cargo vessels. A wide assortment of mining ships, freighters, yachts and even a few odd hospital ships, completed the civilian part of the fleet.

Much less numerous and smaller, were the military ships at the location. Ranging in size from corvettes, patrolling the fleet in groups of two or three, to numerous frigates and even a few light cruisers, the military vessels were deployed in a defensive formation around the civilian ships. Squadrons of fighters buzzed about, like schools of fish, while shuttles and small freighters flitted between the larger ships, giving the whole scene the appearance of a massive, unnatural coral reef. For almost half a million souls who had followed Wolfe and his people out of Dominion space, this was home.

And there she was, grabbed by the waist like a damsel in distress, whisked away by a Knight in, not so flashy armour. Regardless, he was her ticket out of there. And Terrac's too. They weren't alone either. [member="Kiso"] was right on their tails and it was by pure luck alone, or maybe the Force, that they managed to get into the turbolift on time and shut the doors.

Kay blinked as [member="Jagen Wren"] introduced himself. His abilities used on the soldiers' weapons, as well as his lightsaber gave him away. But it was when he said that he once served for the Galactic Republic that caught her eye. She used to serve for them too, as a Senator. Though she wasn't well known back then. Things were vastly different now. "I'm not going to argue. We can talk when we're out of here. I'm Kay. My list of titles is as long as I am tall but--"

She was cut off as the power to the turbolift shut off. Her eyes drifted up to the ceiling. "That's not good...We should've taken the stairs." Not that that would've meant their escape. In either situation they'd of been trapped.

The voice of [member="Kainan Wolfe"] came over the comm system in the lift. Kay looked to Jagen. "Do you think he's bluffing? He's misguided, but I'm not sure if he's a liar." She chewed the inside of her cheek, pacing around the lift a full circle before she stopped, pointing to Jagen's lightsaber. "Fortunately for us, you have a can opener. Think you could use that to help us get out of this? I'm not afraid of heights, are you? We could climb out, find some other way to our ships." The advantage of such a huge vessel was that finding them could be like finding a needle in a haystack. Possibly.

Jagen gave a nod to [member="Lady Kay"] as he activated his lightsaber again and carved a circle in the top of the turbolift, letting the slab of molten metal hit the floor as he jumped through the gap. Utilizing the same power that he had used to crush the barrels of the guards' rifles, he bent the tracks of the lift and effectively stopped the entire thing from moving any further upward. He crouched down and gazed down the hole "I've stopped us, but there's a ray shield keeping us in this shaft. We're effectively tra-"

The Jedi went silent, something caught his eye when he stared upwards "There's a ventilation shaft up there! It's wedged between the shield!" He marveled. Latching his saber on his belt, he propelled himself upwards with the Force and grabbed hold of a lip, ripping off the grate before crawling into the vent. Instead of waiting for the woman to follow him, he decided to scout ahead in the maze before them on his hands and knees.

Sometime later, he gently moved another grate to the side and entered an empty corridor in the ship. The Jedi Knight raised a comlink from the confines of his robe "R9, leave without me. You need to get the word out to someone, anyone, about this 'fleet' and Miss Kay's abduction." He commanded to the droid still in his ship.

R9 beeped sadly but went on to obey his master's orders.

-----

The sublight engines of Jagen Wren's StealthX-Wing started up with a minor explosion, the ship rising up from the durasteel floor of the hangar bay. It maneuvered to face the massive doors that had closed when they were discovered, lighting up the hangar as it fired its proton torpedo launcher and rupturing straight through it. The StealthX zoomed through the newly-created gap and out into the void of space, into Site Sigma where it took several holopictures of the fleet present there.

The droid's job was done, he had the calculations made almost within seconds of escaping that steel prison called a star destroyer. As Republic starfighters and corvettes raced for the enemy ship, its ion drives lit up and it escaped to hyperspace.

The cat was about to leave the bag.
[member="Kainan Wolfe"] | [member="Kiso"] | [member="Kyle Raymus"]

The air exploded in the hangar as the stealthx activated its sublight engines. It turned around and fired two proton torpedoes at the hangar bay doors. Kyle unclipped his tracker beacon just as the torpedoes hit the doors. Leaping out of the way of the debris he threw the beacon which lantched on to the fighter with a satisfying clang. Moments later, the fighter flew out and Kyle was sucked into the void. Acting quickly, he used his old, barely operational mandalorian jetpack he salvaged to fly towards THE UNWAVERING HOPE II. His personal Arquitens class cruiser. Opening the airlock, he crawled onto the command deck, gasping for breath. "Follow tracking beacon id 9786, full power to thrusters, capture at all costs.". Seconds later, the UNWAVERING HOPE II disappeared into hyperspace.

Someone had seriously messed up.

Darlyn didn't know who had messed up, but someone had just jumped to the top of his current 'needs to find themselves on the wrong end of my lightsaber' list. Or blaster or lightning or a well timed explosive he didn't care. They messed up, bad. And he was going to show them *just* how bad very soon. He rolled his neck, wearing his full Desperado armor, helmet and hat included, as he paced aboard the bridge of the Queensguard class battlecruiser, the main power of their fleet. In light of the recent information that Kay's ship was no longer sending signals, and had not yet arrived to Belasco, Darlyn wasted no time taking control of the fleet. Most of the soldiers on board had been primarily Commenor citizens, and therefore were only too happy to oblige as the darksider took a large section of the fleet.

He assumed the worst. Truly that was the assumption, that Kay was in danger. He didn't *know* she was in danger, but that hardly mattered. She had a history of kidnapping and being in trouble, that was enough to set his paranoia off... especially after the discovery of a pirate that disguised himself as Darlyn. So he was more than happy to do the paperwork later for usurping the Minister of Defense's authority and taking a fairly large fleet out of Commenor space and towards the last known location of Kay. Hyperspace took plenty long enough, with the fleet arriving to find...

Nothing. It was taking Darlyn's great personal restraint to not become aggressive to the servicemen as he started having them begin every scan and sweep of the location that they could. On the off chance it was a mistake, and Kay simply got diverted, he let the ships very obviously broadcast their affiliation to the local area. Even an unmanned ship piloted by an astromech could easily pick up the fact that Commenori ships were nearby.

The depressurization of the hanger bay did not go unnoticed to Kiso, her bionics indicating to the explosion caused by the stealth ships ordinance as it impacted on the door, sucking out the crew members and other staff still present on the deck into the cold and deadly void of space. It was sad, escaping the tyrannical destruction of the Sith only to be killed by the oh so good an righteous Jedi who could never do any wrong, once she got her hands on him they'd have more the just a broken leg.

Though steaming with anger Kiso noted a power source inside the elevator shaft, quickly turning to Wofle, "He's using the lightsaber to cut a hole in the vetalations system and making a break for it with Lady Kay". Her scanner started tracking the two, pinning them both on a virtual map in her database, they were not getting away that easily, silently Kiso sent out a signal to her marines and other troops, alerting them to stay on guard in0case they came across the escapees. "What are your Orders M'lord".

As the first casualty reports started to come in from the hangar, Wolfe sighed. He walked up to a console, brought up the internal layout of the ship and then changed things. He knew that Kay and the Jedi would be heading towards the brig, to rescue the pilot. Even if they didn't and decided to escape, the only way they could do that was through the hangar bay. And either way, they needed a map if they were to make their way through the maze-like ship. So, Wolfe made sure they got the map that he wanted them to get. The labels 'hangar' and 'brig' now pointed to a pair of empty cargo holds.

"Sergeant," he said to Kiso. "Gather up four squads of marines and two Sith. You are to deploy them to these locations, here, two marine squads and one Sith per designated location. Our guests will be heading to one of these, under the assumption that this is where the brig and hangar bay are. The lady is to be unharmed. If the Jedi resists, however... kill him," spoke Wolfe, explaining his plan.

"Navigation, this is the Lord of Shrouds," he said to the bridge officers through his comlink. "Our location has been compromised. Order the entire fleet to jump to the emergency waypoint as soon as they are ready."

Then Wolfe once again connected his comlink to the turbolift's intercom. Kay and her Jedi companion must have still been within hearing range, as they couldn't have gotten far. "Tell me, master Jedi. What is the difference between Jedi and Sith?" Wolfe asked. He did not wait for an answer. "The Sith kill people out of their religious beliefs, or because they stand in their way. The Jedi kill people out of their religious beliefs, or because they stand in their way. From where I stand, you're no different at all. You're just more of the same," said Wolfe.

"I gave you a peaceful solution. Offered you a seat at my table. If you had accepted, then in about an hour, you would have been accompanying the lady and her pilot back to Commenor," spoke the warlord. "But it had to be your way, or no way at all. Therefore, you peace loving Jedi chose the path of violence to serve your own ends. And as a result of that, over twenty of my crew members died. You believe that because of your religion, you are above the law, acting as judge, jury and executioner, whenever you please, wherever you please. Well, here in the Shrouded Republic, no one is above the law. And the law states that murder is a crime."

He then addressed Kay. "Lady Kay, do you know why all these people follow me? They're here of their own free will, not through any coercion or threat. They follow me because I deliver on my promises to them. I also gave you my word that you and your pilot would not be harmed and that you will be released as soon as our discussion is over. I did not seize your ship and brought you here to Sigma Site because I wanted to keep you hostage. I brought you here to show you why it is important that the existence of this ship remain a secret until it is built. Outside, beyond the confines of this Star Destroyer, there are over four hundred thousand people, mostly civilians. Innocent men, women and children whom I have to lead and protect. My promise to you, still stands."

"However, given what has happened, my offer no longer extends to the Jedi. Once our conversation is over, he will remain here, to face the consequences of his actions," said Wolfe. "Master Jedi, you stand accused of the wanton murder of over twenty crew members of this ship. You are to be detained until arrangements can be made for you to stand trial under a jury of your peers and face punishment for your crimes. So far, I have tolerated your behavior in the spirit of peace. Now, I give you this one chance to surrender peacefully. There will not be another, refuse and the gloves come off," the warlord spoke, this time in a tone which promised death if his ultimatum to the Jedi wasn't met. "I'm done playing games."

He left her. [member="Jagen Wren"] left her in the turbolift. What a gentleman. No help getting up there, no wordd. Perhaps he had assumed that she could just leap up there like him and bound away like some high jumping animal. No. Kay had gravity working against her, and not much of an ability with Force jumping. And besides, there were more than likely cameras or something in the lift and she didn't want to be exposed.

"Well, that was unexpected..." Kay looked up at the hole in the ceiling, then at the side closest to it. She needed to find a good purchase so that she could climb. It was far better than sitting there waiting for [member="Kainan Wolfe"] 's soldiers to find her. The design of the lift's interior gave her what she needed, so she began her climb. Getting up was easy, however trying not to burn herself on the melted metal as she made her way outside of the lift was another story. Kay grumbled to herself, "What a gentleman..." If it weren't for her dress, the climb would be easy. But big bulky gowns weren't made with turbolift climbing in mind, so it made it all the more difficult.

One at the top, she forced herself to look up only. Not down. Looking down would only give her a bit of vertigo and she didn't want that. Kainan's voice was heard then, coming through speakers that were below her feet. She listened and listened carefully. It was quite apparent that he didn't like Force users, all the more reason for her to keep her secret a secret. Her own Father was that way, disconnecting her from the family as though she was diseased. Learning that fact about Kainan was useful for any future dealings with him.

Kainan was laying on the guilt factor as though he was the innocent one. Twisting the facts to suit himself. Was he protecting his people? Yes. But was he innocent of wrongdoing? No. And now it seemed as though he wanted Jagen's life for trying to rescue her from a situation that Kainan had caused. Or at the very least, his freedom. Kay couldn't allow that. She had a bargaining chip on her side that should work, using Kainan's own laws against him. It all depended on how good of a politician he was.

But first she had to find Jagen. She remembered hearing him speak of a ventilation shaft. That had to have been where he went. So Kay started her climb up into the nearest one. As she reached it, she shouted as Jagen wasn't anywhere that she could see. "Where are you?!" The last thing that she needed was to get lost in this maze.

The unwavering hope 2 buzzed through hyperspace as Kyle paced back and forth across the deck of his cruiser. He received an order to randevouz with the fleet at their emergency site. But what if they could still catch that droid? Suddenly the entire ship lurched as they were pulled out of hyperspace by a collection of mass shadows near Belasco. It was a fleet of huge, angry ships waiting to blast ANYTHING that got too close. And they happened to be way too close. The tracking beacon was close by, but that wasnt going to be of much help.

The Jedi Knight stared, quite unamused, as the Archlord began monologuing for him. Leaping back up into the ventilation shaft overhead, he tuned out the speech that was being given over the intercom and began to crawl through the maze once more back to the area where the turbolift had been.

"Where are you?!" Came a shout close by.

Jagen's bearded face popped around the corner, possibly to the surprise of [member="Lady Kay"]. "Apologies, my Lady. I needed to get a transmission to my astromech droid. He's escaped into hyperspace and will hopefully get us help, or at least a diversion, to escape. Come along now." He beamed, beckoning for her to follow him.

Once they had dropped down into a different corridor, Jagen approached a terminal and quickly accessed a map. Kay would hear a chortle coming from the middle-aged man; "These people aren't too bright if they think labeling rooms off to the side 'Brig' and 'Hangar' will work. This is ridiculous, but that doesn't help us find where the real brig is." Knight Wren presumed, staring back at the woman.

-----

Jagen's StealthX dipped out of hyperspace when it detected the signal of Commenori ships. R9 beeped excitedly and began to compose a message to send to the fleet commanded by [member="Darlyn Excron"]:

MASTER WREN ATTEMPTING TO RESCUE COMMENORI QUEEN. STUCK ABOARD STAR DESTROYER, REQUESTING ASSISTANCE.

The droid wrapped the message up with copies of the holopictures it had taken earlier and beamed it. It was about to take the ship in the direction of the fleet until it was caught in a tractor beam. R9 looked around and his photoreceptor widened in what could be assumed as fear.

The grey dagger-shape of an Imperial IV-class Star Destroyer hovered towards the StealthX, having locked on to it. A voice came over the communications systems.

"Unidentified stealth vessel, this is the INV Abdicator. Throttle back your engines and prepare to be inspected."

The sight of [member="Jagen Wren"] 's head appearing from around the corner did cause her to jump. She smirked as he just beckoned her onwards to follow him. With a huff she did so, having gathered her gown up to make it all the easier for her to crawl. At least Jagen wasn't behind her. It saves her modesty.

Dropping down below to the next level wasn't so easy. She turned herself around and lowered the folds of fabric and came out feet first, easing her way down until she was airborne for the last few feet. Kay landed with a light thud and dusted herself off as her 'rescuer' went over the map.

She headed over to him, looking at the map and noticing the labels. "You think it's a trap? Well they know that I wouldn't want to go without Terrac. I'm pretty sure that they'd have him heavily guarded." She chewed the inside of her cheek. "This ship isn't completed yet either, so some sections might not have any air supply. What's usually on the lower decks? Cargo? Engine rooms? The brigs could be just above that. So why don't we try there? Worst case scenario is that they catch us. I have a way to bargain you out of losing your freedom. Hopefully. So all is not lost there."

Of course his Jedi instincts could tell him otherwise.

[member="Kainan Wolfe"] [member="Kiso"] [member="tsarwars"] [member="Darlyn Excron"]

"I sir, right away", Kiso gave [member="Kainan Wolfe"] a quick salute and ran off in the direstion of the two, her scanner and internal mapping keeping a bead on their location. Placing a hand two her right ear she relayed the orders to several squads, "I want on squad on each of the decoy room and 2 on the real brig and 3 down in the hanger bay". Hopefully they had the hanger bay under control, but with the ship still under construction there were no back up ray shields in place for when the blast doors were damaged, meaning the place was still depressurized and one would nee a vac suit to venture out.

"Rules of engagement are, Do Not Harm [member="Lady Kay"], and try and take the Jedi alive, but if he kills any more crew members you have permission to lethal shoots". She received several yes, sirs mama and sarge from the other squads, but that was not all the people she had to inform, turning over to a private channel she contacted her personal marksman. "Wolf your position if close to the Jedi and Lady Kay, I want you to try and intercept the two and ask them to stand down, I having a feeling another fight will just result in more loss of life".

-----------------------------------------------------

Jessica Dixon

"Roger that, on my way", swinging her DMR-Mk3 into hand Jessica made haste towards the two, Kiso providing the location of them through her HUD, though not planning on using the weapon she still had the gun set to full-auto in-case she had to defend herself. Peaking around the corner she was the two talking, most likely confused on were to go next with the map changing, it was now or never. She slowly turned the corner, her gun facing towards the ground, but ready for action in a moments notice, "Don't worry I'm not here to harm you, I just want to talk and try and find a solution to this problem that does not involve any more unnecessary deaths".

Wolfe and his guards followed Lady Kay and the Jedi, using the ship's motion sensors to track them. They had emerged in an area of the ship which was mostly devoid of any personnel, which is how Wolfe was able to find them so easily. Using his bypass codes, he swiftly caught up to them, ray shields and bulkhead doors opening for him, while his queries were slowed down by these obstacles and the unfamiliar layout of the ship.

Ten Wolfguards filed into the room, at the same time that Kiso's sniper had discovered the fleeing captives and was attempting to talk them into surrendering. The warlord's elite guards pointed their blaster pistols at the two, having already set them to stun earlier on.

"Game over," said Wolfe in a cold voice, looking right at the Jedi and igniting his own lightsaber, the black, sputtering blade crackling in the air due to the inherent instability of its synthetic crystal. "Your starfighter is being piloted by a droid, isn't it? Even if it managed to reach anyone, my fleet will be ready to jump out of here in minutes," said the warlord.

"I guess you have no other choice, than to negotiate," he said, mostly to Kay, this time. "This outcome was inevitable from the start. You should have spared yourself and us the trouble of trying to escape. Especially since I will let you go, anyway, once I have your guarantee that the demands which I expressed earlier, will be met."

Wolfe raised his comlink, calling for reinforcements. "Security, converge on my position. I have located them," ordered the warlord. Several marines soon filed into the room, followed by two Sith who ignited their red lightsabers, giving the Jedi malicious looks which promised death and violence.

How quickly things changed, moments after entering the unmanned ship was picked up on, and transmitting information within moments. Shortly after, an imperial class star destroyer decided to drop for a visit, and a cruiser ripped itself from hyperspace well within range of the long guns. Darlyn couldn't tell if this was luck or karmic interest on some good deed he must have done. Probably the former, he couldn't remember being a decent human being within the last...

... Well that was a long time.

Regardless, he was temporarily the commander here, and had plenty to work with. Well, at least he knew who to talk to, and who most likely he had to unleash his fleet's collective firepower upon, provided this went south. "Captain open a channel to the Imperial IV Star Destroyer. We can ill afford to lose what few leads we have. Furthermore start up our engines, and bring us closer to the unidentified cruiser. We are in an active investigation, if they have nothing to hide they will not flee, and if they flee they will only give us reason to chase. I want us within turbolaser territory soon as you can manage."

"Aye Sir. Opening communications... now."

Darlyn gave a short nod, and moved to speak directly to the INV Abdicator. "This is Minister Darlyn of the Commenor Systems Alliance. We are investigating a matter of governmental security to which this vessel claims to have pertinent information. Release the vessel into our care so that we might determine the validity of its claims before this can become an international incident. Neither of us wish this to escalate to such a level, and it would be in our best interests to work together to this end." Hopefully appealing to their desire to not allow the situation to escalate would dramatically increase the odds of hastening the events.

Down below he could see another communication officer opening a channel to the smaller vessel, and issuing a warning. "Unidentified cruiser, shut down your engines and prepare for inspection. Repeat: Shut down your engines and prepare for inspection." Quite honestly, Darlyn wasn't certain what would happen. If this cruiser was bold, it might try to attack, which would only move it into turbolaser range, where the Queensguard was vastly superior. If it was terrified, it might send itself away, either to their fleet or away. And if they were smart, they'd comply, and regardless of if they were responsible for what occurred they might make it through.

The voice of Jessica caught her by surprise. Kay turned to look at her, notucing that her weapon was aimed to the floor. That was a good sign at least. "The solution is simple; that we regain our freedom and I get my ship back."

She didn't go into it any further however as the Wolfguards appeared, their weapons drawn. Kay didn't put her hands up however. She kept them at her sides and remained where she was. If only they hadn't strayed on the map for too long. If only they understood the vessels better, then they might of had a better chance of escaping.

As [member="Kainan Wolfe"] appeared and ignited his lightsaber, she looked to [member="Jagen Wren"] for his response. It didn't seem as though Kainan was a Force User, but that didn't mean that he couldn't brandish the weapon of one. His words to Jagen gave her hope. A droid had piloted a starfighter out of there. Word could get out of her whereabouts that could signal a larger rescue operation. That fact alone restored her confidence and hope.

Her focus was kept on Kainan while he spoke of her having to negotiate her release. What could she do other than giving just her word? It wasn't enough for him. And now he had threatened the Jedi that had only wanted to help her. "I could have you locked up for a long time for this. You trespassed in Commenori space with heavily armed vessels and soldiers, kidnapped the Head of State, kidnapped my pilot and taken a diplomatic vessel. My people will be coming, then it will be you needing to answer to my demands. I was never a threat to you or your people and yet you took me anyways. The lives lost are on your hands, not ours."

Kay did her best to not allow Kainan, his multitude of soldiers and his Sith to intimidate her. She needed to put the situation into her control and out of his.

Crewmen and technicians alike rushed around the star destroyer's secondary hangar bay, preparing the space for the StealthX starfighter as it hovered past the magnetic field and set down gently on the polished, black durasteel floor. Two squads of stormtrooper marines quickly moved to surround the vessel, but quickly lowered their aggressive demeanor when the cockpit opened to reveal nobody. An ensign, denoted by his rank plaque, strode up till he was standing to the side of the R9 [SIZE=10.5pt]astromech[/SIZE] droid.

"And what would an unmanned StealthX-Wing be doing in the middle of deep space, near no discernible hyperlanes?" Ensign Arlos queried, seemingly puzzled at the entire situation. R9 whizzed and beeped wildly, projecting the pictures he acquired, internally hoping that the Imperial junior officer knew binary. "Lady Kay? Of Commenor? Captured by a Shrouded Republic?" He exclaimed, turning slightly to lock eyes with several crewmen. He raised a comlink from somewhere in his uniform "Lieutenant Reumar, ma'am." The Ensign began, gulping anxiously "The fighter we captured has a droid; it says that a Shrouded Republic, the one we're looking for, captured Lady Kay, the Queen of Commenor. It has [SIZE=10.5pt]holopictures[/SIZE] of a fleet to back this up."

The bridge moved erratically, the information from the fighter had spread like wildfire and the Vice Admiral had ordered to prepare the fleet for the jump to hyperspace. A small change of plans occurred when [[SIZE=10.5pt]member="Darlyn[/SIZE] Excron"]'s fleet appeared near their own. Vice Admiral Gromm Cardan listened to the message, the epicanthix's eyes narrowing as he analyzed the words and the meaning behind them. "Tell the astromech that it may depart into the care of the Commenori fleet. Beam a transmission informing them of the situation, and move into lightspeed when the StealthX is clear. I want no delays, Commander Praxon, even from our own allies." He growled.

The starfighter would soon appear out of the destroyer, heading for the other fleet. Meanwhile, the Imperial destroyers and their accompanying escorts leaped into hyperspace in near-perfect synchronization. The [SIZE=10.5pt]StealthX,[/SIZE] once granted clearance, landed in the command ship's hangar and awaited further instructions from its captain.
---------
"Reverting."

The star destroyers and their many escorts would appear into realspace once more, in almost the same location that Jagen Wren's StealthX had left earlier.

Oh how ironic it was, an Imperial fleet assigned to exclusively hunt for the remnants of the Dominion finding that their prey was only a few minutes away. Cardan had to give it to them, they knew how to hide well but in the end, it was always futile to run from the Imperial Starfleet. "Tell the interdictors to activate their gravity well generators. They cannot escape their destruction this time." Gromm snarled, something catching his eye.

"Look, over there. That star destroyer looks to be under construction. Have the Eleventh Hour fire all long range batteries!" He roared, pointing out of the bridge viewports. Volleys of turbolaser and ion bolts erupted from the hull of the INV Eleventh Hour, racing for the Argent Dawn. All the while, massive assault concussion missiles blasted from their tubes, on the same path as their predecessors.

Wolfe was about to say more when a general alert sounded throughout the ship. "Battle stations, battle stations! All personnel, report to your action stations! This is not a drill!" the voice of the comms officer came through speakers throughout the vessel. Moments later, the ship shook as the enemy fire impacted. Wolfe picked up his comlink to demand a report. "Bridge, this is Wolfe. What the hell is going on out there?" he asked. The answer came a moment later. "Its an Imperial fleet, sir! We're under attack!"

Cursing under his breath, Wolfe made a swift gesture with his free hand, for the group to follow him. The soldiers positioned themselves around them, weapons held at the ready. "Now you understand why I wanted to keep this fleet a secret!" he said to Kay in an angry tone. "Guards, have the lady's ship prepared for flight and release her pilot," instructed the warlord. Turning his eyes back to Kay, he spoke a few more words. "As soon as we're at a safe distance, get your ship and get out of here. Until then, you're with me on the bridge."

Leading the way, he used his command codes to deactivate the lockdown and led the group into a turbolift and up to the bridge. Along the way, several more impacts shook the ship, this time harder than the first time. Some kind of torpedoes, probably.

As soon as they reached the bridge, Wolfe gave the order for the fleet to jump to hyperspace. "Negative, sir! They have two interdictors!" the navigation officer informed the warlord. "Shields at twenty percent, most weapons offline!" came another report. Once finished, the Argent Dawn could hold its own against an enemy Star Destroyer, but the ship was incomplete and not yet at full power. Most of its weapons were inoperable and its underpowered shields could not cope with a sustained barrage from a capital ship of that size, let alone an entire fleet. "Deploy the fleet in a staggered wall formation and launch all fighters! Protect the civilian transports at all costs!" the warlord ordered.

The Argent Dawn and the four cruisers all launched their complements of fighters, bringing the total number up to five squadrons of TIE Reapers. The four Admonitors took point and formed a wall, with the frigates and corvettes taking up space between and slightly behind them. The Argent Dawn turned around and took position at the center of the military formation, bringing what weapons it could, online. They weren't much, only a few turbolasers and ion cannons. Wolfe cursed under his breath again, wishing the Star Destroyer's torpedo launchers and hypervelocity guns were operational. Turning towards Kay, he seemed to think of a solution.

"Here's the situation. We're outnumbered and outgunned. Those interdictors out there aren't going to let us go anywhere and without the Argent Dawn at full power, we can't breach through their defenses to take them out. I have almost half a million civilians out there, who don't stand a chance against that and unless something changes, we're all dead. So, give me options."

This is my first fleet battle. If I did anything wrong, lemme' know, so I can edit my post. Thanks.

Imperials were quite the impatient bunch weren't they? Darlyn barely had time to bring the fighter into the docking bay of the Reciever and locate Kay's coordinates before the entirety of the small fleet had left their space. And in the very direction of the Queen's last known position if the droid was truly trustworthy. Normally perhaps Darlyn would be a little suspicious, a little less quick to trust the thing, but after seeing the Imperial navy jumping like an only child on its birthday, perhaps speed was preferable over caution for once.

Quickly the small, but very swift fleet had made their own jump, to find the long range weapons of one of the ships unleashing hell on the obvious capital ship of this rogue fleet, along with having interdictor fields up preventing the ships from leaving. While the latter was certainly beneficial for everyone present, mostly everyone present, the former posed a bit of a problem. After all there were two places you'd hold prisoners, a dedicated ship (which the fleet seemed to lack judging by size and scale) or the brig of your capital ship where the majority of your marines would be. And there was a single ship which provided such a spectacle.

Darlyn was not about ready to lose the most likely candidate for Lady Kay's current position and thus lose the woman's life, and immediately had the entirety of his fleet begin closing the gap with both the Shrouded Republic's fleets, and that of the Imperials. Naturally arriving later, their own fleet was behind the Imperials, making what could be almost considered a perfect line, though this did pose some problems. Notably, any fire the CSA would release on the Shrouded Republic would almost certainly hit Imperial starships, while the Imperial starships couldn't provide any ample firepower on the CSA if they decided these potential international incidents would best be solved by a swift knife to the back. Not to mention not a lick of diplomacy seemed to be involved.

Another channel of communications opened, first to the Imperials. "Captain, Admiral, Commander, whatever your designation is, this is Darlyn Excron. Again. And I would like to reiterate that the situation present could very well spiral into an international incident. I would suggest you cease fire until CSA business is formally completed and we have no more reason to be here. Then you can merry well blast these ships into oblivion for all I care. I urge you to remember we are also currently within CSA space, and I do not have any recollection of your forces being authorized in the first place. All things considered, I would suggest we resolve this situation without letting it escalate to the point I am directly ordered by the head of state to remove any non CSA force with force. I would very much rather not do that."

The transmission would cut, before another, open broadcast would be sent out. "Hello pirates and ne'er do wells of Belasco space! I do hope you've had a grand ol' time with my employer, she can be quite delightful at parties and an excellent conversationalist, but I'm afraid it's time for me to take her home. Now, if you would be so kind as to send her on her merry way so I don't have to blast your little ships to molten slag, come aboard your command vessel, and rip each and every one of you into bloody little pieces, rip your leader's tongue out of their mouth, and shove it so far up their rear it comes *back* into its original home, that would just make my day so lovely. I might even be tempted to talk the Imperials here out of killing you all for whatever it is you chose to do that upset them. Maybe. Depends on your answer."

He sighed and pulled up a chair, sitting himself down and watching quietly. "Turn the long guns on the Auxilia class and be prepared to send a warning shot. I'm very serious about them not shooting at Kay."

Kay braced herself against the wall as the first direct hit shook the ship. Despite the alarms going off, it caught her by surprise. Imperials? There were two governments that she could think of, the more likely being the Galactic Empire. Why would they be attacking this fleet?

[member="Kainan Wolfe"] and his guards led both herself and [member="Jagen Wren"] down to the lift as the ship sustained more direct hits. She needed to make it stop before they were all killed. Getting blasted into oblivion by her allies wasn't exactly the way that she figured she'd die. Still Kainan tried to blame her for it all, when she had nothing to do with it.

Up to the bridge they went. The damage reports began coming in while orders were made to scramble their fleet. Now Kainan looked to her for options, almost demanding it. She was about to suggest that they open a channel when she overheard the voice of [member="Darlyn Excron"] blasting through the speakers. He was quite angry, yet still maintained his sense of humour. But it indicated that there was more than just Kainan's fleet out here. There were quite two more. Darlyn wouldn't risk her life like that. "Open a channel. I'll speak to all of them."

She waited until the comms officer did so. When Kay got the all clear, she began to speak rather loudly. ~This is Lady Kay Arenais and I am standing here within the belly of the ship that is currently being fired upon. I ask you all to cease your hostilities at once. There are hundreds of thousands of civilians out here that do not need to die because of one man's ridiculous mistakes. I am not entirely sure of where we are, but if it's in my Alliance's space, then I did not authorize a military engagement. I am thankful for the assist, but such hostilities won't better my situation. Orders have already been given for my release, so I must ask you all to stand down and do so now.~ She did her best to sound confident. Hopefully they'd all listen to her. Bad things tended to happen when they didn't.
