Description: Nikolai began his acts by using a simple deck of Sabacc playing cards, over time he began to extend and branch out his act, though he stayed close to his routes. This is where The 76 cards come in. Originally these cards were meant for a trick in his act called “76 card pick up”. In this trick Nikolai would coat regular Sabac cards with an almost unnoticeable layer of Detonite, and then specific chemicals that would make the cards glow different colors when the Detonite was activated. When the actual trick was performed Nikolai would throw the cards above the audience in a carefully controlled pattern, he would then Detonate each card in sequence by rubbing them with the force. This sequence would light up each card and then cause them to explode. The explosions would then last for a few seconds forming an image in the air above the audience and wowing them.
After joining the Jedi Order it was quite obvious to Nikolai that he was not cut out for regular Lightsaber combat, being terrible with the blades. The idea came to him rather simply, he would take his old trick and replace some of the other chemicals on the 76 cards with more detonite. This allows for the explosive power of the cards to be quite strong, making them easily able to kill someone at close range due to the pressure and heat. Unfortunately the added weight of the detonite meant that the cards could no longer be thrown at his maximum length...and there have been a few accidents with them as well though nothing too bad.
