The Abyss [Drake Blackwood/Cass Tarentill/Vexander Graves]

Cass watched the monitor with a look of disdain on her face. Something was in the ship, but what exactly was hard to tell. Why lock in the remaining security forces against their will? It barely made any sense. Something unnatural was hunting the forces of this ship, and whatever it was, Cass did not think it had left just yet. "Something unnatural must of tried to take the ship over." Watching the forces break apart made Cass even more confused.

"They all made their way to the engine room for some reason. Perhaps that is a good reason to investigate?" If the three Jedi were going to bring the ship back to Republic Space, they had to make sure that the ship was safe, lest they bring something back with them. Shutting down the footage, Cass searched through the console even further. Perhaps she could find something that gave an advanced read-out of what the ship was doing before all of this.

@[member="Cass Tarentill"] managed to find the schematics to the ship, in fact; the detailed layout of the ship contained all the information required, the rooms that they had to avoid due to lack of pressure, flooded rooms due to leak in the water pipes and some other harzardous enviroments... nevertheless, the console managed to show a clear path that they could follow along the mess hall of the ship and several corridors that eventually lead to the engine room.

Vexander decided to stand up from the crouching position he took while checking on the skeletons and corpses. The situation was indeed quite odd but they had a mission and investigating further would provide more insight in what had to be done and threats around the place. The fact that they got locked in inside was disturbing... what could be so awful that needed such a harsh move?

Looking straight to the exit, he proceeded to walk slowly to it. "Thank you Miss Tarentill..." Vexander looked at @[member="Drake Blackwood"] and determined a slight action plan to reach the engine room safely... or so he thought "...next objective is clear, we go to the engine room and we try to see what is wrong..." looking in his belt, he noticed that he had the tools to repair the hyperdrive and some extra parts available that might be needed... but the rest was in the ship where they came in "...why didn't they send an engineering team with us? Burocratic poodoo..." said the man almost mumbling to himself, yet he raised his gaze and headed outside "Drake, you go in the front while the lady here will give us the directions... I'll cover the rear" With the plan layed out, the team had to pass through the first checkpoint which was the messhall...

In the messhall, the team began to hear weird noises... steps through the corners and different breathing sounds in the shadows... yet the Force wouldn't provide any signature of living things and it wouldn't give them any inmediate danger... for a moment they didn't know if it was their imagination... but what kept their minds in place was that the Force did provide a sense of caution... one that place them in high alert...

Drake nodded. "Yes, master." His voice was dry, like he was uncomfortable. And he was, considering the area around them. Drake slipped his lightsaber into his hand as they walked into the messhall. His knuckles clenched around the hilt of his blade, and his eyes moved side to side, looking for a source for the noises. His mind probed the room for signs of life. Or anything, for that matter. "Cass, which way next? I'd really rather not stay here for much longer..." Drake grimaced, not knowing whether whatever was happening around them would follow. The Padawan had no idea if what he was seeing and hearing was able to be seen and heard by the two Jedi with him. He hoped they could, otherwise he'd be going crazy. Per usual, the Force helped to keep him on alert. Something was different this time, however. It seemed the Force was sending him a message. Words. Almost saying: Danger...danger...danger.

He really hoped he wasn't crazy.

Cass was put in the direct middle of the threesome of Jedi. Normally, she would be not happy with being so protected, but in this instance, she was not going to complain. Keeping her wits about her, she kept on eye on her datapad and the surrounding area. Her hand not too far away from her saber, Cass watched the datapad flicker and bounce as they walked through the various corridors. Leading them to the engine room, Cass hoped that their was not a nasty surprise waiting for them on the other end. "Keep on going through this corridor. Should lead us directly to the engine room." Drake sounded very uncomfortable, and who could blame him? This place was a terrifying location built from nightmares.

And it was only getting worse as they continued to walk.

Although the team passed all the way to the messhall without problem, the cold and humid place full of unknown substances couldn't be overlooked... they provided a eery feeling across the place and the team knew that something odd was going on.

The words of the guide: @[member="Cass Tarentill"] ; instructed the whole team to pass through a corridor... and she knew that soon, the instructions would have to be more precise since the engine room was in a exact location and other corridors would lead to either deadends or other areas of the ship away from their location... one of them even guided the team to an area without air pressure.

After walking a few steps away from the messhall and deeper into the corridor... someone that has seen the footage from the bridge such as @[member="Drake Blackwood"] would notice that the place was getting similar to the path that the soldiers took after closing and locking up the crew of the vessel in the bridge... perhaps too similar.

"I have a bad feeling about this..." said the Knight, his senses were clear and he could feel the danger completely inmennet... as if it was right behind them...

A huge growl in the back could be heard and inmediately those who looked back along with Vex would see...

Vexander turned around and ignited his lightsaber... several other beings came from the messhall all of them looking viciously at the team "By the Force!" the amount of things were too much for them to handle in such closed space... there were at least 30 or 40 that showed up... and although the lightsaber could be used to easily dispatch them, they were too many of them. "Run!" ordered the Jedi Knight to the apprentices... while he extended his palm at the being and released a Force Push that knocked the first beings causing a small dam of bodies that blocked the path for the rest.

Although at first they were quite slow... as soon as the ones that were Force Pushed stood up, they were faster and began to follow them.

Vexander ducked and unleashed some sort of uppercut with his lightsaber to the first being... although it was armored with an ancient suit, it was not strong enough to withstand a lightsaber hit, he then launched another slash at the ones coming and once again Force Pushed other few that were getting closer. "Cass! Take us to the engine room! Quick!"

Drake wasn't at all pleased with the path they were taking. He could indeed tell it looked very similar to the path the soldiers had taken. Very. And they all died. Already in his apprenticeship to the Knight Vexander Graves, Drake had learned to keep a sharp eye via the Force on his master. He often did things important, things Drake could learn from. Less than a second after Vex had felt danger, and turned, Drake felt it to, and sensed the movement of his teacher. What he saw...well, he didn't know what he saw.

So far during the investigation, Drake had been itching for action. And he practically exploded when, whatever those things were came at them. His lightsaber blazed to light, and he rushed forward. The creatures were so closely packed together, Drake could take out two of them with one quick swing. He chopped the head off one, and sliced the chest of another. It was then he registered that Vex ordered them to run, and with one last twist of his lightsaber, and a thrust through one of the creatures shoulders, Drake ran back towards Cass. "Which way?" His voice was calm now, having been steadied after releasing his built up tension.

Vexander continued providing cover in the back, regardless of the amount of cover he could provide, the sentients were going further and further... getting closer... those who were harmed by the lightsaber in the body or the limbs eventually kept going with what they had: crawling, limping and even dragging themselves through the floor in order to reach the Jedi.

Without actually thinking deeply in the situation, the corellian just tried to take them away from the danger that those beings possessed becuase, although they were slow and didn't actually have any weapons; their intentions and their lack of presence through the Force were a cause to be warned and in full alert. "Drake! Take the right!" said the young man while he swingned his lightsaber to a few other beings that were approaching... still, he got the same results "Sith spit! They are not going down!"

Vex waited for the team to follow the path to the right and he followed them. Going through that road would lead straight to what seemed to be the Engine room where they had to go, their destination... however... once that the door to the Engine Room was closed behind them, little did they know that the place was as crowded of beings as the corridors outside... and in fact, they would have to fight the beings no matter what...

Drake ran full speed towards the engine room. He took the right turn sharply, almost falling off his feet. Almost. As he ran, he held his lightsaber in his right hand, and it swung slightly around as he ran. Drake had no idea what else could be in the engine room, and he wanted to be ready. As he reached the door, he looked around for a console to open it. His eyes locked onto a panel on the wall, and he hustled to it. Drake's left hand fiddled with the panel, while his right held his lightsaber defensively. Drake did something, he wasn't sure what, but the door opened.

Drake ran inside, and looked around. "Master...!" Drake called out behind him, but his voice trailed off. Inside the room, the same beings were here as in the corridor to the engine room. Drake's feet started back pedaling, and he slice at one creature who was coming towards him. "Slight problem!" Drake kept walking backwards, trying to get back to Vex. Maybe if they could fight in the hallway between the main corridor and the engine room, they'd have a better chance.
