Built upon the Petranaki Arena, the location of an Aegis Outpost is common knowledge being only ninety kilometers from Golbah City. Yet the purpose and size is unknown to the public as the majority of the base and it's components are subterranean. All roads leading to the base have checkpoints and guard stations to deter the curious or maliscious. Air space around the base for thirty kilometers in any direction is restricted and monitored by base personnel.

Description:
The Petranaki Arena is at the center of the Aegis Arena Armory base. To the north of the coliseum walls is the airfield. To the south is the staging area for armored support. To the east is the hangars for the star fighters. To the west is the transport runways for the infantry.
Beneath the coliseum is the Droid foundries and headquarters for the base. Here you will also find quarters for base personnel, technicians, and visitors.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Petranaki Arena: a coliseum built by the Geonosians. Exotic creatures are still stored in the pits as a zoological opportunity. The sands are clear for training or training. Located in the arena is a Darkside Nexus that exists due to the deaths of many Jedi during the clone wars. Beneath the sands a small forge exists to Muad Dib's specifications and used by the Knights of Aegis.
Northern Airfield: here is the landing pads and runways for the Naval ships stationed. Specific pads are designated for visitors. Several communication towers dot the airfield, responsible not only for air traffic but for monitoring air space and receiving transmissions from satellites in orbit.
Southern Runways: here the armored auxiliary can congregate for deployment, live exercises, or drills. Within the exterior walls of the coliseum are bulkheads that can open to discharge the armored support from their subterranean hangars.
Eastern Hangars: Ten buildings dot the landscape with the roofs able to retract to launch the fighters within. A wing of Droid vultures are able to be launched per hangar (168 starfighters). The exterior walls of the eastern side of the coliseum have small ports that can be opened to launch vulture droids from within the caves beneath the arena.
Western runways: here is where the infantry assemble for training or transport. Vehicles and transports can arrive through the main gate with proper clearance. Three hovertrains ran from the Western runways to Golbah City, with two more running below the surface. One hovertrain was for general transport while the other two above ground and the two below ground were reserved for military actions.
Droid Foundries: burrowed deep into the planet's crust existed the Droid Foundries. Here the Geonosians constructed and oversaw the nearly autonomous construction of droids, vehicles, and ships. Beneath the foundries we're the caverns where the Geonosians lived.
Headquarters: central to the Foundries was headquarters. The heart of the military base lived and breathed safely beneath the added layer of earth. Turbolifts and shafts led from headquarters to each point of the surface. At several points along each passage were checkpoints and bulkheads that could be closed to secure the internal base. Along the edges of headquarters were quarters and living facilities for onsite staff and technicians.
PowerPlant: even deeper lies the geothermal power plant that powers not only the Droid Foundries (as originally intended) but also the military base. If an enemy force arrives then power can be shunted from the factories into the Aspis Defence Shield which covers the base and the nearby capital, Golbah City. Near the plant lay several Hyperbatteries that are charged in case the strain on the power plant grows too great.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Petranaki Arena s originally created as a seat of Justice and gladiatorial games for the Geonosian race. Beneath the arena Droid Foundries were made. This received the status quo of the society until the Clone Wars approached. Siding with the Separist movement, the arena became the site of the first battle between the Confederacy and the Republic.
The loss of nearly two hundred Jedi upon the sands began the Darkside force Nexus.
Years later the newly minted Empire began the annihilation of the Geonosian race in the planet which wiped out the species upon Geonosis. The large scale extinction when combined with the multitude of Jedi deaths fully formed the Nexus in the arena.
Hundreds of years passed.
Finally the newest incarnation of the CIS returned to Geonosis. With the Petranaki Arena rediscovered ownership feel to the ViceLord's young ward who used it as a zoo for his creatures. Yet the Nexus nor the Foundries were utilized.
With the disappearance of Cairyn, the ward, the arena was left unused, unwanted, and ill used. Until Muad Dib visited the arena and saw the possibilities afforded.
Purchasing the land Aegis brought the potential of the arena back to life. Being so near to the capital of the Confederacy, Aegis incorporated large amounts of defensive and offensive capabilities into the base.
By bringing the Foundries online once more Aegis is able to strengthen bonds between the company and the government in which the headquarters was located, begin to establish a new operation and location, and open new avenues of revenue for the company.
