So I’m looking for players for a campaign. The premise is simple. I’m looking for players from factions such as the Republic and Mandalorians or neutral mercenaries to take on a sort of spy game type scenario. The Sith Empire is developing weapons, and these groups need to know about them, and how to counter them. Imagine the Wunderwaffe from WWII.
So what I’m looking for is a few good people! Preferably I’m looking for people who can do espionage activities and counter espionage, and those without master rank. I don’t’ want this to become a thread about “my master versus your master” but rather a story about intrigue and cunning with action thrown in only where appropriate. To that end I’ll like to get a few Sith Knights in here, maybe some Non-force using Sith characters. I believe we have one in the Sith Empire.
The first few mission would take place on Lianna home to Sienar Fleet Systems. Lianna is in Sith space, but is part of the Tion Cluster. Tion isn’t entirely in the dominion of Sith Control (yet) and thus the political situation could be considered a bit tense as the people of Lianna consider themselves Tionese. The Republic/whomever has decrypted messages sent from Lianna to Sith Command mentioning the development of new weapons, some of which vaguely promise to turn the tide of any conflict. This was concern enough for them to send a team undercover. The political situation being what it is the team will have to go to great lengths to remain secret, if they are publicaly revealed it will hurt the republic/whoevers reputation.
The Sith have likewise sent a team to the planet. These stalwart defenders of the Empire are tasked with keeping Sith secrets out of the wrong hands. However the internal security team cannot afford to alienate the local population. Lianna is a large industrial world and of great value to the Sith, the population must be kept happy or else the factory output on ships and weapons of war could grind to a slow halt.
When I post in the thread as Sirella it would be me posting as the GM. The Character Sirella will have no part in it (well maybe a cameo). I intend to add characters to both sides of the conflict (Miktik to the Infiltrators and Sasha Santhe to the Sith team, at least to start with). These characters are not to take control or really to participate in any meaningful way. They are there to suggest actions if the team gets stuck. There will be a number of NPCs developed, each with personalities and opinions. I will keep all the pertinent information in this thread during the campaign. I have a number of scenario’s and plot devices in mind for this, and a couple of really cool “wonder weapon” ideas. The events in this campaign WILL affect their development come time to put them up in the Factory and may even prevent them from being created all together. Each campaign Mission will be a different thread, and at the end of each thread I will put up a new recruitment thread asking for more volunteers to add to the two “teams”. All of the threads will be open, however if you join when a thread is in progress you may have to wait a little for a point in which your character can be realistically inserted into the thread.
Anyways that is the short version of what I have planned and how I’m going to handle things. Any concerns? Questions? Comments? And most importantly any takers?
