The beautiful new factory was forgotten. All she could think of was that ship showing up off Gromas and dropping off Alicia Drey's shuttle. Then had come two bitter fights for her property, her freedom and her life. Irradiation. Imprisonment. Droids with disruptors.

"Thank you, I do enjoy the eve so far Mr. Sin." Razz said, He bowed and smiled. Sin had been a close friend of Razz's for quite some time. They have had meetings every month to discuss current things that challenge them.

"I am going off to the side for a second Razz this group makes me sick." Shane said before walking off to a corner in the shadows.

Ovmar looked around, giving each attendant a glance of scrutiny.

When the waiter came, he grabbed a pinkish drink. "Well, being a Jedi does that I suppose." he paused to laugh a bit in his head. "I'm not sure if that would be my finest choice in clothing. However, you do look like a King in it." he said watching a table rise along with chairs being brought out. Once he had told him to sit, Oka gladly did. "You never told me about your daughter." He turned towards his daughter and gave a smile. "Its a pleasure to meet you." he said sipping some of the drink.

Oh dear I really hope we ain't late [member="Adan Jax"] "she said to her husband as she pulled him along to come to the ball,she didn't go to many and certainly was a rarity for one to ever find her at one, but one hosted by her old friend AMD shadow king [member="Romeo Sin"] she would never miss a occasion planned by him, she wore a low cut red dress that matched her green skin nicely, she left her saber seeing as she wouldn't need them

"What I always do, Jared." Tension vanished from her body like a cut bowstring. "Find a position of power that doesn't precipitate anything, use that vantage point to get a clear picture of the situation and its component factors, and then start making a decision. I'm not about to go up to him and ask him how well he knows Circe Savan and Alicia Drey, or whether he knew he was assisting in an attempt on my life and my freedom. Not here, and not today, and maybe never. But I am going to go forward with finding that vantage point, and the high ground is my investment here. I'm strengthening my production capabilities so I can meet the Shadow Empire's needs with fewer delays. There's power in reliability.

"Once that's settled...then, perhaps, His Majesty and I will have a short talk."

Maxie loved these kinds of parties. Huge, lavish, and full of people. The whole planet was the party here, and here he was, about to go street racing. There were landspeeders, and bikes, and even a sort of modified podracer. But nothing as beautiful or unpredictable as Old Red. The starting line was here, in the outer city. The finish line was near the King's palace. He gunned the engine, revving himself up, as well. The dog howled at the sky, and the little Orobird chick chirped happily.

This was going to be fun.

After walking some distance to finally reach the desitnation he seeked, all he heard was the end of the conversarion. "And what short talk would that be Miss Merrill? I feel it wont be short at all, do such things even exist with you?" He smiled, and removed Erika, who ran off the find Jakob.

She glanced at [member="Jared Ovmar"], who seemed overcome by time zones or perhaps liquor, and moved away to join the king.

Screw it.

"Is there any chance," she said slowly, "that you once piloted my stolen beskar-clad corvette into the Gromas system to drop off a Sith Lord who then made an attempt on my life?"

She walked in looking around at the lights and the people, the shadow king had yet again went above standard and really made a party, spotting [member="Romeo Sin"] about the only one she knew, she walked over with a smile"ahhh romeo very nice party you've set up"she said taking a red drink"

Romeo chuckled as he leaned against the bar nearby. "So straight forward, and blunt. Your reputation does you justice." He adjusted his way on the bar. "The Hazard Beauty is what you speak of, yes. Alicia Drey was on said ship after it nearly killed me, and made me go on a beserk of darkness filled moments. I was unaware of intentions, nor at the time could I care." Romeo's eyes shifted to Jared, then back at Merrill. "Is this about to turn into payback? I have a place specifically for these moments." [member="Jared Ovmar"] [member="Rave Merrill"]

Oka nodded and stayed seated. A thought ran across his mind as he sat there. In the books his father got him when he was older, the empire meant the dark side that arisen throughout the years of the fallen republic. He knew Romeo had no intention of rising up against the galaxy but that's what happened to the republic. But then again, lots of stuff have been changed throughout the years of gaining information about the old era.

Eve smiled as she moved through the door into the ball, eyes running over the ground and smiling a bit wide as she saw those here. Her hair was pulled back out of her face as she looked about those around her and found the one whom she knew best out of all those assembled. She moved with a slight slowness that left her feet to bring her towards one Romeo Sin. "Hello there Mister Sin, i assume you are king once more?" She rose a brow as she crossed her hands behind her.

Jakob was near a window when he felt something tug at him, he looked down and it was a girl, not just any girl but the youngest princess.

"Yes, M'lady?" he said softly bending down to see her face.

"Why aren't you with the king?"

Romeo held his hand up towards Eve. "Give me one second Eve darling." He was now looking Merrill directly in the eyes. "That was a dark time in my life, Sith Poison is some nasty stuff, I barely remember what I learned, and when I learned it, but I want to say yes, in my state of poisoned mind, I learned who you were, and that it had been your ship after I dropped Drey off. I would give it back but....I knlw longer possess it."

I stood behind the throne, taking in everything that there was to see. Lady Merril, one of the richest people in the galaxy, was talking to Romeo. I only wish I could hear her. He was my friend, my employer, and temporarily my liege. If anything happened to him, I would be the first to call for blood, as I did when my friends were threatened.

But this was not the time to worry about that. Oka and another armored man stood near the little princess. I grinned and walked over.

"Oka, and my favorite baby princess. Your old Admiral is at your service."

The royal guard laughed.

then stood up.

"Does your father need me? or were you just here to admire the vast beyond we call the stars."

He smiled and looked at her eyes.

She felt the truth of it, and his honesty. Another man would have prevaricated or grown defiant, tried to undermine her maybe. There was, it seemed, more to the King of the Shadow Empire than met the eye.

"As it happens, Lord Ovmar already made that offer, and I was very glad that he was up front with me about the ship. I told him to keep it. The ship itself didn't matter so much as the fact that it and its contents were taken from me. You've proven yourself a straightforward man; tell me, then, if you know the whereabouts of any of the holocrons and artifacts that were aboard."

She sat there next to the drinks, she wasn't really a talker much especially around people who were new to her, though she did sense a Jedi in the room, she shook her head to herself and gave a small laugh to herself. She trained her eye on who she believed had the force signature that she felt was Jedi
