the Baron quickly broke off his attack narrowly avoiding the full extent of his counterparts barrage taking minimal damage to his shields instead. The Baron then proceeded to quickly break off his attack and change his vector to put some distance between himself and the pilot before he could turn around and launch another attack

As the TIE broke off, Shar accelerated and banked away, back in the direction of the rest of Revenant.

Shar, put some distance between you and the adversary, make another head on attack at Crimson Lead, then, just before you get into range, turn off sharply. I would advise, due to the B-Wing's uh.. proclivities, that you turn off a little bit before that. Four I advise you do the same and stay with him. Me and Seven will come in and hopefully Crimson Lead will take the bait so we can vape them.
"Roger, I'll move around for another run before breaking off into the midst of you guys." Shar adjusted his instruments as he prepared to turn in.

Soon enough Vonreg would begin circling around in order to attack the B-Wing that had escaped his wrath
<”I’ve got your wing on the attack, Mylo. Even if we don’t take out the leader on this, I’ll stay on him. Can you keep me clear once we get to that point?”>
"He's sticking to me. Get on his rear, I'm going in for another head-on."
Watching the TIE turn back for another run, Shar transferred power to engines, increasing the B-Wing's maneuvering. The Hunter likely pushed power to shields, so Shar could almost match his turn rate.

As the two turned into each other and levelled out, Shar transferred power to shield and opened fire again. All he needed to do was keep the TIE distracted as the rest of Revenant maneuvered around to flank the TIE.

Kyrel looked at the woman before him, his eyes showed curiosity. He didn’t know that Kaliaa had a child, not that he ever really cared. Kaliaa was an after thought compared to bigger goals he had set out. He also didn’t hide the fact that who Kyrel was before, was long gone. Now Kyrel seemed more monstrous, as if he had been through Hell far too often, and came out most of the time much worse than before. He couldn’t help but smirk when he saw the blue blade of her’s ignite in the darkness. He had no doubt, that she possessed the spirit of a true Jedi.

He walked forward slowly, his heavy boots upon the duracrete ground created an eerie feeling. Kyrel’s signature lightsaber activated it’s red blade. The hues of blue and red created what some would call a very moving picture, as both Ren and Jedi stood bathed in darkness. One didn’t seem to be content with attacking the other just yet. Even so Kyrel stood on his guard, waiting to see what outcome meeting this girl would bring.

“You see, I can’t allow that… If you need to get to more weapons, you’ll have to go through me little girl….” He said, coming closer to her, where his hulking form looked over her, as if he was a giant compared to hers. With his hunger almost impossible to keep at bay, her midichlorean blood was too tempting to overlook. Kyrel was now forced to either attack, or resort to more gruesome methods.

He finally made his choice, no words followed except one powerful stroke of his saber. His saber in one hand, he launched a powerful swing not simply to cleave through her, but to test her defense against such a weapon. His saber roared with fury, connecting with her blade, with one single stroke carried enough force for her to dig her heels into the ground. The strike itself an attempt to drive her back with might alone.

Mylo gritted his teeth. Strangely, he likened it to getting a splinter taken out. He reminisced being a young child on Humbarine, his parents off on an interview, the family's aide had taken up the role and removed it for him. A short throbbing pain in his lower leg before a hopeful release from the pain. He hoped he would get to that release at one point or another. Elsewhere in the battle, the Maw really seemed to be taking the fight to the Galactic Alliance. His flickering terminal showed that the newer edition Wolf Xs of Nemesis Squadron had also engaged, getting off torp fire on the Mawite capital ships that had taken screening positions near the station.

<”I’ve got your wing on the attack, Mylo. Even if we don’t take out the leader on this, I’ll stay on him. Can you keep me clear once we get to that point?”>

"I copy Revenant Seven, you got it." He replied, watching the X-Wing pull up to his viewport. Mylo gave a slightly hesitant two-fingered salute to his Jedi comrade, a boyish, yet determined ear-to-ear grin painted his youthful features. Mylo drifted off slightly - he needed the perfect approach vector if this was going to work. He had come up with good plans in the past - not that Chaar had listened most of the time, but the risk was high. Perhaps a tad higher than usual.

But he was used to it. He hoped. Climbing slightly, he went into a roll, trying to keep position with the chase. Out of the corner of his eye - with a significant amount of selective viewing in the sortie, he could spot a lone B-Wing attempting to attain a vector of attack on the Lead. The dark-haired pilot had no doubt in Shar's capability. All Revenant pilots had proven themselves to be crackshots at one point or another. However, flying required a good amount of luck - and everyone's luck ran out at some point. It was just a matter of when.

"He's sticking to me. Get on his rear, I'm going in for another head-on."

Throttling back, he kept a firm grip on the stick to control his pitching as he followed on, mentally tracking Shar's flight path, and approximately where he would intercept. "Hmm." He put the com online once more. "Six to Seven. We need to hang back, we need to keep out of sensor range so they don't detect us." Then it came to him. A little trick he had executed at the Battle of Foerost with Qellene. "Here's another one of my bright ideas. When we enter range after Shar makes the turn, deploy sensor jammers when I say. It'll have a better effect if we do it together." He had observed the two escorts that seemed to be trailing behind. "You see those escorts? They'll prove troublesome, I advise we both fire one torp at each when in range. At least if it doesn't hit, it'll confuse them enough along with the jammers to leave Crimson Lead open."

Mylo could also feel the adrenaline pumping through his veins as he turned with the enemy, still keeping out of sensor range. "Mig, warm up the sensors jammers and one proton torpedo for position 1." The order came from his mouth clearer than he would have managed. He fought to let pride overwhelm him. Pride killed. Tactics and a cool head was what kept you alive for whatever amount of missions was the average for a starfighter pilot.

"Sir, we're detecting a large power increase from the enemy ships, they may be about to open fire on--"

A nearly blinding flash of light cut the Lieutenant off. A half dozen beams of crimson light shot from the Mawite ships, arcing towards the Alliance Flotilla.

And for a moment, I was back at Csilla. Watching helplessly from the bridge of the Hawk as the Mawite superweapon decimated the Alliance fleet, killing thousands in an instant. Ripping families apart, annihilating without mercy. Men and women I'd served with for years, who I'd become friends with, all gone in the blink of an eye. The deafeningly silent bridge in the wake of the blast, staring at the devastation it left.

"The Warspite! It's-"

A cry on the bridge broke me from my memory.

Aboard the ANV Warspite, concurrent.
Captain Radiel in command.

“Captain! We have incoming!”

“Boost power to shields, now!”

A near panic gripped the bridge of the vessel. Though not the flag, the Warspite was by far the largest and most powerful vessel in the Flotilla. Which of course, made it a target. But Captain Radiel had lived through many engagements in command of this cruiser, and it was a ship he was determined not to lose.

“Hard dive!”

The massive ship lurched forward, attempting to move below the incoming fire. It’s poor maneuverability would have doomed any attempt to dodge the attack, but that wasn’t what the Bothan captain was attempting to do. With just enough of an angle, some of the attack would be deflected upwards, further improving the chance of survival.

Impact. The whole ship shook, even under the mighty Mon Calamari shielding. Each viewport was filled with a blinding light, dazzling the bridge crew. Some spoke silent prayers, others thought of their friends and families. Radiel simply closed his eyes, and gripped his command chair tightly. There was nothing more he could do now.

Then the glow faded, klaxons blared. A collective sigh of relief escaped the lips of the crew. The shields had held, just barely.

ANV Revenge
Rear Admiral Constantine Oliva in command

“The Warspite’s held!”

“Status report?”

“Her shields are heavily weakened, but they’re holding. Several nearby vessels took light shield damage too, sir.”

“Very good, maintain the assault. Anything from the scanners?”

“Well sir, the enemy ships seem to follow old Imperial design doctrine--Their rears are heavily exposed. Judging on the amount of comms traffic, we believe we’ve also identified the enemy command ship.”

“Good. Send the 253rd’s Emancipators on a wide flanking move to attack the enemy’s rear. I want them to stay out of range until they’re in position to attack. Send Wasp and Ceres to protect them from any fighter attacks.”

“Yessir.”

Staring out from Revenge's bridge, I kept my eye trained forward, watching as the long range engagement continued. In the distance, tiny flares of light marked the fighter engagement. The three vessels that had long served as the 253rd's main source of firepower were moving, turning hard to starboard to move out on their task. Something kept bothering me in the back of my head though.

"Signal the long range comms centers. I want to know if any enemy signals are coming to the system, as soon as they happen. I want bearing, amount, intensity."

"Maw Sith, I believe."

Kahlil took a step past Valery, hand outstretched. The path forward was blocked, or about to be. But, well. The Force shifted, bending under his will as he grasped the blast door. Metal groaned as he pulled the invisible cords, slowly ripping the whole frame from where it'd been built into. All at once what should've been a door was now just an open passageway. He set the metal scrap down, to the side, offering Judah a simple, kind smile.

"You must be Judah. Good to meet you finally."

Perhaps it was the threat of death that hung over her that drew out the dark side. Maybe it was simply the timing of it all, the daughter of Darth Avacyn would emerge as he charged forward. Kyrel towered over her as Fortress Vader looms over the Gahenn Plains on Mustafar. The sound of lightsabers clashed with such an impact the echoes of which could surely be heard reverberating within their area. Xarielle brought up her guard just as her mother Kaalia Pavanos Kaalia Pavanos had taught her and her siblings.
Xarielle's lips pulled upward into a snarl and there before them both a flash of the dark side. What lurked beneath Xarielle was perhaps the truth of it all. The darkness that called to her, told her that the light could not protect her here that a Child of Avacyn could surely make better use of their talents. She was pushed back if only by the sheer power behind the strike, duracrete broke in her wake as dust billowed and she did her best to keep the dark side in check. She gritted her teeth and began to push back, Master... I- need you, dark side... here. An attempt to reach out to Master Valery Noble.
She wouldn't dignify a response to him and instead, Xarielle focused on pushing Kyrel back. Even as she focused herself on the light, the dark ran like a riptide beneath it. A strong undercurrent that threatened to do more than drown her. This part of the facility was dimly lit at best, only the glow of red and blue lightsabers as they clashed and thrummed provided any considerable light. Xarielle knew she could be more than her lineage, more than her bloodline - she didn't want to be defined by them.
Tall, dark... ugly.
The padawan remained focused on the task at hand, whilst reaching out through the Force to her master. Again the thoughts of Avacyn floated into her mind. Do you really think you can outrun your own blood? Daughter of Avacyn, Child of Sith Valkyries... you are fighting a losing war... give in...
The doubts were there, the insecurity... Ripe for the picking.

With a group consisting of several Jedi Masters, it wasn't that difficult to push through the Mawites that were defending this place. Their blaster fire was being turned against them, and they were being pressured at speeds they could barely track with their eyes. But their numbers were a problem and allowed them to fall back behind a large blast door that closed to keep the Jedi out.

Judah called for Valery's help with it, and she would have no problem breaking it down. But before she could, Kahlil stepped forward and took care of it for her. She watched it happen with a smirk and playfully rolled her eyes at it.

"I think we'll have time for better introductions lat-" she paused as a familiar presence called out to her in the Force, but it felt different. Dark clouds surrounded Xarielle Pavanos, a young woman and Jedi Padawan Valery had helped to the best of her abilities. It caused instant worry in the Jedi Master who was like a mother to many young students.

"Love, there's a Padawan out there on her own, Xarielle — she's near him." He knew who she meant. Kyrel Ren Kyrel Ren was a presence neither of them would ever be able to mistake for another, and he was a problem, especially for younger Jedi still in their training. "I need to keep this assault going before we lose our momentum. Can you help her? For me?" She looked at him with pleading eyes. Not that she believed he wouldn't have gone there without them, but the fear of experiencing the death of more Padawans really hit her hard.

It was one of the worst possible feelings.

"Judah, you and I keep pushing."

Seeing Ishida lift the helmet off her head gave him all the confidence he needed to do the same. Clicking the back, he slowly took it off and lowered it down to his waist to clip it onto his spacesuit. Silas walked up beside the fellow padawan and looked down at the holographic plans of the station with intrigue. They weren't too far away from the generator as shown by Ishida pointing it out, but that didn't mean it was going to be easy. Enemies of all kinds probably littered the hallways.

"I see, once those are down our pilots can have free reign at the station," he said in confirmation. When it was down, there was nothing stopping them from blowing the station to pieces while they were inside. The only thing they could do was deal with it when it happened, anything could happen from now to that moment.

Witnessing the floating model finally hideaway back in the circular device Silas finally stepped away and withdrew his lightsaber. When a hunter could be around the corner they needed to be prepared, they couldn't slack, especially now.

Silas followed Ishida to the door and watched her check for any hostiles that could be waiting behind it "Do you see anything?" the teen whispered, which was soon answered by her opening the door to an empty hallway. Strange... he would have thought the corridors to be heavily patrolled. Something was wrong, and it was doubtful he wasn't the only one who felt it.

The pair moved through the corridors carefully with ease, surprisingly meeting no resistance as they went deeper and deeper into the station. It was only in the fourth corridor did both of them start to feel a dark presence approaching. The hunter must have been close, and they had still yet to gain a single understanding of who was chasing them. Smartly, Ishida went to a grate and forced it open so she could climb in and begin moving toward the generator. Silas soon followed, making sure the grate was somewhat in place before turning in the tight ventilation shaft and crawling along its dusty metal surface.

Getting closer and closer, it took longer than it should have to get to the generator room. One by one both padawans appeared from the vents, their suits more than likely covered in a layer of muck and dust "Unorthodox, but we've made it" he mumbled sternly before looking to the generator in all of its glory "Lets get thi-" but before he could even finish the lights turned off, plunging them into darkness. Silas controlled his breathing well as the same dark presence as before flooded into their senses again. This time it was closer...

Silas swiftly ignited his blue saber and turned in the direction of distant thudding, a chill running down his spine.

"He's here..."

FINAL DAWN
BATORINE, COLONIES
POV : VICE-ADMIRAL DALIA AJINN

Fleet Composition :
Starfighter Compliment [First Wave] :

Ajinn watched as the Conqueror, the Torment and the Defiance unleashed their special weaponry conducting a powerful and lethal alpha strike against the flagship of the enemy fleet which was soon illuminated by the impact of the powerful barrage unleashed by the three ships. However contrary to her expectations, the enemy Mon Calamari Cruiser soon emerged from the smoke, intact despite the attack conducted by the Batorine Security Fleet. Upon seeing her surprised expression, the Captain of the Resurgence proceeded to speak up. "Vice-Admiral, our sensors indicate that the enemy flagship has suffered severe damage from the attack." the Captain said. Ajinn smiled, the Mon Calamari Cruiser may have survived the initial blow but her fleet was still intact largely thanks to the Conqueror's Anti-Turbolaser Defense Canons capable of intercepting most of the turbolaser fire from the enemy fleet.

"That is acceptable." Ajinn said in response. "Have all ships concentrate fire on their flagship. I want that ship destroyed." Ajinn ordered. Soon enough, all for ships of the Batorine Security Fleet proceeded to shift their focus from firing upon all enemy vessels to simply concentrating all their firepower upon the ANV Warspite. It's shields were already heavily damaged, and under the heavy barrage of turbolaser fire from the rest of the fleet it was most likely that it wouldn't survive against the concentrated firepower of three heavily armed battlecruiser-sized battlecarriers, regardless of how powerful their Mon Calamari shielding was. As Ajinn was busy thinking about her next move once the Warspite was eliminated, the Captain of the Resurgence noticed something on the battlefield. Three enemy ships had split off from the enemy formation and had moved out of range of the Security Fleet. It was when they started moving that he understood what they were doing.

"Vice-Admiral, look!" the Captain said pointing at the three cruiser-sized Star Defenders at the distance. Ajinn smirked. "So, they're trying to outflank us huh. How pathetic" she began. "Have the Conqueror split off from the main fleet and intercept those ships before they can get to our flanks and press the attack on that Mon Cala Cruiser." Ajinn ordered. While her fleet had enjoyed some protection from the full force of the enemy firepower thanks to the Conqueror, the enemy fleet was comprised of ships smaller then any individual ship within her fleet with their combined firepower inferior to that of their Final Dawn counterparts. They had numbers yes, but the Final Dawn had firepower and were most likely going to acheive starfighter superiority, two of the key ingredients needed to win any naval battle.

Sooner or later the enemy would realize they were doomed, and by then it would be too late for them as Ajinn had a few surprises in store for them, Lethal surprises that would most certainly result in the ultimate destruction of this poor excuse of a strike force. She would emerge victorious and would gain her rightful spot as Sularen's second-in-command all in one fell swoop.

  • The FDS Conqueror, FDS Tormentor and FDS Defiance all concentrate fire upon the ANV Warspite in order to wear down her shields while simultaneously recharging their special weaponry [Proton Beam Canons and Autocannons]
  • The FDS Conqueror later splits off from the main fleet to intercept the ANV Glory, ANV Triumph and ANV Adventure and their support ships
  • In order to press their attack on the ANV Warspite, the FDS Resurgence joins the Tormentor and Defiance in attacking the ANV Warspite firing it's main batteries upon the Mon Calamari Cruiser

Judah nodded toward Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble . It was good to meet the husband, but the timing could not have been any worse. Certainly they would need to have a proper introduction. Valery was sending him off to save her Padawan, something Judah could have done, but it seemed it was more important to lead the charge forward. Another nod was offered, and this time it was directed to Valery.

The force moved him ahead again. Judah sped past the barrier into the room ahead where the armory and vehicles were kept. Some weapons needed to be salvaged, others simply needed to be destroyed.

Something felt off, but Judah could not discern what it was. He looked to the trooper that followed him in and nudged his head toward the tanks.

“Toss me a charge and see to the tanks.”

Judah took the charge and placed it under the first tank he came and continued to nose around. When Valery arrived, the Sentinel looked to his counterpart and pointed to a door at the otherside of the weapons bay.

“Something funny past that door, and I don’t like it. I think the troopers can take care of seeping this room. What say you and I go have a peek see? Hmmmm?”

The clash between the blue and red blades in darkness symbolized the light and dark. Kyrel with his immense power was giving the Padawan a greeting, barely the fraction of his power that he would unleash on the likes of Valery Noble Valery Noble and Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble . Unlike the young woman he had slain many foes in his time, unfortunately with his immense power came the urge to devour her. Since Tython he had grown, but became something more than an abomination. The clash of blades only echoed, while both Jedi and Ren remained locked against each other.

The Master of Ren didn’t want to kill her just yet, something from his past prevented him. He didn’t understand why, perhaps because he saw the hunt for Kaalia Pavanos traitor of ren obsolete. Sieger Ren was decades ago, and he was so close to gaining what Sieger and Solipsis both possessed for so long. Slowly adding more strength to gain a standstill of the blade lock, as he made his attempt he felt a surge of dark energy sing out to him. Coursing through her veins that one surge of dark energy made her stand against his blade.

An ugly smirk appeared beneath the death mask. He had other plans, as if she could be turned that was the only victory he required. Looking into her eyes, he spoke again. “You cannot hope to defeat me girl, only the shadow can… embrace yours and you may stop all that I will do.” He said, his words dripping with dark temptation that spoke to the shadow she carried inside her. Even if he weren’t to succeed in holding the Jedi, turning her would be sufficient. He stood his ground, holding the lock his gaze studying her. Reaching deeper he felt the darkness call her, she was prey to it and that’s what he counted on.

Darth Avacyn had been a great, and powerful Sith Lord, of course, in doing so she had to break the chains of Jedi and Ren alike. Now it was her daughter who could feel the dark side coursing through her veins. "N-n-no, I- I won't... I-" her voice shook with doubt, was this why she had always been afraid to interact with the Force? Weak. The voice in her head spoke, the light is weak - embrace me, embrace the dark side. Xarielle wrestled with it, "I won't." She growled and pushed further against Kyrel - but was it him that she was fighting against or something darker?
There in the armory of Batorine, on a mission to aid her Jedi Master...
3s34AY1.jpg
The dark side called out to her, Darth Avacyn reached out through their shared connection. What have the Jedi done for you? Mhmmm? They open your eyes to the Force, but leave you here alone. You wrestle with your doubts and your master could scarcely care for them. Where is she? Listen to me Xarielle. I know you, better than you know yourself... Do you recall your days on Korriban? Had those... Sith Lords brought harm to you? It is the Jedi who have shown you harm. Xarielle squeezed her eyes shut and exhaled, she did her best to recall her grandfather's words that she could return their family to the light. "I will not... embrace... the dark side."

"Wh-Why do you- care? If I embrace the sh-shadow or not?"
It was becoming harder, and harder to hold her blade against his as she did her best to push out the doubt, the insecurities that crawled through her mind. Whispers of fear, and rejection echoed in her mind, your master doesn't care about you - she tends to her other padawans, and leaves you alone, doesn't she? She knows of your past and rather than nurture your talents she leaves you... Your master, cares not for you but for herself and her reputation. She will not show, I promise you this Xarielle. When she doesn't you'll see that I, Darth Avacyn, was right and when I am right... You must go to Mygeeto. "N-no, I- argh - stop."

He didn't have to be asked twice.

Kahlil was off in a full sprint, following the familiar yet different feeling of the Ren. Something worse had happened in that pit. There was no time for regrets, however. Part of him doubted if he stayed to make sure they'd both fallen all the way down that Kyrel would've died anyway. At least now he had a chance to stop him. Then he saw him. It, at this point. The dark wound in the Force that stalked where only the living should.

He leapt forward, bringing his blade across above the Padawan to knock the blade pressing down against her away.

"Valery's back that way. Run, get back to her."

The Master didn't spare her a glance. Couldn't afford to, with the Wound before them. "I got this."

Valery flashed Kahlil a final smile before he took off running — every part of this mission was important, and that definitely included making sure as many of them were able to make it back alive as possible. For a Padawan to be out there on her own was a possible death sentence, especially with the likes of Kyrel being around.

So Kahlil's mission was not only to fight Kyrel but to help someone else make it out of here in one piece.

Meanwhile, Valery and Judah moved forward through the facility until they reached a room stacked with heavy weapons, transport vehicles, and even armored vehicles such as tanks. This was the reason why they were here, to destroy what would otherwise replenish the Maw's forces at the front.

"Here, take this," Valery said as she tossed over the charge and moved over to the tanks. But when she did, a darker feeling crept up to her from the other side of a nearby door. She paused, looked at Judah, and nodded in agreement. "Prioritize the tanks and heavier weapons," she then told the soldiers that were flooding in.

"We'll take care of this," she nodded to Judah and stepped over to the door. With a tap of her fingers against the metal, large cracks formed and the whole thing shattered into tiny pieces, allowing them to step inside. But almost immediately, a painful front of dark side energy struck the two Jedi, and Valery didn't move at all for a few seconds.

Her mind bounced to what she felt deeper inside the facility, to what was happening with Xarielle Pavanos and the way Kyrel Ren Kyrel Ren felt in the Force, as he stood face-to-face with her husband. It distracted her a second too long, and she found herself suddenly being blasted back into the room they came from by a powerful Force surge.

She hit the ground hard and slid over her back until she came to a stop on the cold floor, meters away from where she had been standing. Right in front of Judah, a crimson blade finally ignited in the poorly lit room, and a figure in dark robes moved to meet him.

They dropped from the vents to the ground and the lights went out.

"Don't —" Ishida flinched a reach out to stop Silas from completing the gesture of his sabre, but she was too late. Blue luminescence flooded the space. From above, she'd only noticed the general layout. The perspective from the hatch had been limited. Now, on the ground in total blackness with the only light coming from Silas' sabre, Ishida barely got a better sense of their surroundings. The most distinct outline belonged to thick cables hung from the ceiling, railings ran along the gangway, and she could barely perceive a few layers of stairs.

At the end of the room, several meters away from their drop point, was one light that hadn't fully extinguished. A dim red.

That was probably their target.

Unlike Silas, Ishida didn't reach for her saber straightaway. Instead, she slipped her hand into her spacesuit's pocket and retrieved three shurikens. Between her fingers, she poised the sharp Ashina metal while she stretched out her awareness. The Force searched to see what her eyes could not. That malicious being that had threatened their existence, promising to hunt them down. Promising to destroy them, and was likely the reason they'd been plunged into darkness.

When the enemy made a move, Ishida did as well.

"Move." She urged Silas. Stagnancy would see their demise. They could use the darkness to their advantage and confuse their foe. They didn't know how many Jedi were on board, did they? Maybe they did. Regardless, they could still seem more than just two.

The metal stars whirled away from her fingers, up at the low-slung cables that crisscrossed above the gangway. They made purchase, cutting through the coating in an instant, then through the copper, and eventually lodging into a pipe that hissed out steam. The cables writhed and twisted as if they were agonized veins spurting out blood. Instead of red, though, were golden sparks. Creating one, two, three interval spaces of sparkling showers that spurted out intermittent bursts of light in the darkness.

Rest could wait for when they were dead.

And recently, they were pushing it even beyond Dagon's worst states of self-flagellation. So bad even Asmundr's warnings of stretching far after one's physical limits usually echoing from the past were muffled to indistinguishable sounds part of their surroundings. So bad it had carried over to his padawan, Corin.

Smokey circles still stained their eyes from wearing the vigilante masks on Denon and the deep shades of weariness in their orbs were caught ablaze by the flame of pure determination. Crisp cuts of sabers and black blemishes of blaster bolts littered their faces, bodies, and Jedi attire. By all laws of the possible, they should've been nothing more than bodies cast unto a hospital bed or a grave.

And yet, it was on this thin edge between life and death where the raven-haired Knight felt most alive.

"We're running late." he stated glancing over the ravine down onto the control center of the armory, "Knowing Valery -- she's not gonna be giving them any quarters. Especially not with the Pathfinders under her watch. Place's gonna turn upside down not long from now and we'll get nothing out of it." the manifests, along with other potentially valuable data, was Dagon and Corin's objective. Manifests they believed could tie the Maw with a few big gunrunning rings back on Denon. He could neither stall the Allied advance, nor did he want to. "Rooftop hatch's our entry -- " he pointed, "--let's go."

They landed with a silent thud, almost like cats. The Jedi silenced the cries of bones strained beyond the abnormal and sliced the hatch using one of Yula's trashy Outer Rim gadgets.

His hand outsretched onto the nearest wall, to catch himself once he landed with a muted thud inside. "Yeah." It was with a laboured breath that his shoulders rose and fell before he collected himself somwhat, all that time on the move had done no wonders for the fuel that let him drive onwards. Just fumes now. "Just makes Denon seem so much easier, all this. Lot less wizards and sabers back there; no threats, none that match me that is."

Corin corrected himself after a moment of silence, "Match us, I mean." He said with a smirk.

He tucked those tools Yula made into his belt and let out one last huff. Better than most of the mass made stuff, all that low cost to make nonsense made for some shoddier tools. Better to take on whatever was made for the sketchiest mothers in the Outer Rim, low maintenance with better results. Beneath the mask on Denon, it was all he made us of - hid his true self from those he beat senseless, no ties.

"How about we call it after this one?" The Padawan became less sure those dark circles came from the masks and not this horrid schedule he maintained.

Vonreg’s TIE Hunter leveled out, moving into position to launch yet another head on attack against the enemy B-Wing. Vonreg’s three wingmates were not far behind ready to support him in case other members of Revenant Squadron came to assist their fellow pilot which was most likely. As they closed in on each other once more, the enemy B-Wing once more opened fire upon Vonreg’s TIE Hunter which thanks to its Shield Force Multipliers, Strengthened Shields and Hull Dampener was able to withstand the full brunt of his counterparts attack. As soon as the B-Wing’s attack ended Vonreg smiled behind his helmet. “My turn

Vonreg quickly proceeded to return fire, unleashing a rapid volley of Laser Cannon and Ion Cannon fire before firing two advanced concussion missiles towards the enemy B-Wing. Such weapons were capable of dealing extensive damage to shielded starfighters such as the enemy B-Wing and hopefully it would be enough to outright disable its shields. Upon completing his attack Vonreg continued to close in on his target shunting all power to his weapons in order to begin charging his Composite Beam Laser while slowing down his TIE aiming to annihilate the B-Wing with one decisive strike should his missile succeed at disabling it’s shields, with his wingmates at the rear, they would be able to intercept any enemy force that would try to attack Vonreg from his flanks and thus ensure that this B-Wing pilot would meet his demise at the hands of the Crimson Baron.

As the Composite Beam Laser began charging up Vonreg smirked behind his helmet confident in his inevitable victory. “You’re mine now.

The B-Wing strained under the pull as Shar weaved and dodged the TIEs giving chase. The Gossam hoped the other TIEs were at least being chased by the rest of Revenant, as he the lead TIE was managing to track the B-Wing opening fire. Shunting power to shields, the B-Wing's ionic shielding largely took care of the TIE's ion blasts while the deflectors took care of the lasers. However, the TIE let loose two missiles as well, and Shar knew the shield would not hold up to that.

Shar switched his targeting computer to the rearward mounted Twin Heavy Repeating Autoblaster Cannon. Instead of the TIE, Shar set it to track the missiles. He leveled out, letting the missiles track him in a straight line directly into his rear arc and into the firing zone of the Autoblaster. He could feel the thump of the Autoblaster spraying a cone of death rearwards, and he watched as one of the missiles blew up some distance from him. The second one detonated a bit too close for comfort, but his shields still held.

His sensors sounded a warning. The TIE was charging up its composite weapon. Shifting his Autoblaster targeting to the TIE, Shar switched on the EWAR suite and began evasive maneuvres, as well as shifting shield power to his rear. Shar knew he could likely survive the beam as the Composite beam was harder to aim than cannons and the first three countermeasures would exacerbate this. Though he knew the shields could likely survive one beam attack, he did not want to test that hypothesis.

"Revenant, Crimson is drawing a bead on me. If you're going to attack the formation, do it now!"

The blades firmly locked still, Kyrel could sense her conflict. He too had often felt the same way once, instead of pressing on the offensive he stood his ground. Curious by her inner turmoil, he could only watch as she started to give way towards dark side corruption. She weakly attempted to drive his blade back, and still she didn’t not have the strength to stop him entirely. He was surprised at how little she knew of her past, or where she even came from. He didn’t make any further attempts to beat her into submission. This time trying to implore to her inner shadow.

“How little you have been told…. Poor girl I knew your mother once… She was a Knight of Ren long before she became Sith… We are not so different can’t you see? The Jedi keep you in chains through their hypocrisy, and what they think is best… There is another path… All you have to do is break free…”

Just as he was starting to convince her, he felt a tremor in the Force as the one known as Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble entered the fray. Breaking the lock between Padawan and Master of Ren, now so close to the Jedi he could start sucking in his life force. His blade now redirected to strike towards the Jedi Master, they soon found themselves in a blade lock. “Pesky Nobles always coming to save the day… No matter this isn’t Tython and you won’t stand in my way this time…” He said to the man through gritted teeth, as if he was greeting an old friend.

His gaze turned back towards Xarielle, sensing her confusion, her struggle he spoke again. “Can’t you see it now… The Nobles think they know what’s best, but given the chance one hint of shadow, one hint of freedom and they would lock you up… Cast you aside if not obliterate you outright… They do not care about you… They only seek to control you…” He said keeping up the blade lock, and all the while fanning the flames that were being stoked inside of her.
