The Big Dig

The tram ride took a few minutes, but once they arrived they were all given small datapads with information gathered so far. Where they thought a meditation room was, what looked to be powering the city, barriers and restricted zones. All around them the sound of construction machines and other explorers rang out. Dorn stayed back with the other Mandalorians and went off on his own trip behind closed doors.

This is where you get sprung loose have fun!

Er'in flicked through the data on the datapad, face deep in thought.

"I think either the meditation room, I know at least one Sith Lord who kept his maglock codes in the repeating patterns on the wall. I never worked out if he had a bad memory, or just the usual self-aggrandisement complex. It could also be part of an older structure, although the room plan doesn't immediately match anything I can remember from what I've read."

She makes a soft, thoughtful noise.

"Or here, off on Sector 12 by that restricted zone. It's not important at all, but if I were going to put an escape route into my palace, it'd come out there - look, you can see there's something that might have been a shuttle dock nearby. We don't know much about what the Empire wanted here other than to demonstrate the folly of deep core mining, but nothing on this map looks older than that era."

Er'in Tenel knows an awful lot about how Sith think, build and live, but probably very little about how to date pottery. Unless it happened to be Sith relic pottery. Call it... action Sith archeology.

She looks up, she's maintaining her innocent facade, but she's also not about to play dumb - her pride won't allow it, even if it shows obvious cracks. After all, she is actually here on the business she claimed. It's just... the nature of Academy she reports to that might unsettle some.

"But you're the two fully qualified people, what do you think?"

"Let's see here..." said Raveem to himself as he drew his own datapad from one of the many large pockets that lined the hip area of his tunic. Connecting both pads wirelessly, Vas'ah downloaded everything from the datapad given to him by the Mandalorians onto his own and then tossed the latter away. No need to carry two pads, when you can have everything in one, right? Now where to start was the question. It seemed the Mandalorians had found some kind of Sith meditation room within the city, there were also possible locations to what was powering the city and some restricted zones. For someone like Raveem these "restricted zones" raised his interests considerably. The Bothan looked around... it was best he go at this alone. No need for extra baggage... or competition.

Leaving the tram station, Raveem cautiously made his way toward the city. Some exploring wouldn't hurt... and besides, he could probably find some valuable salvage in these ruins. A sith Holocron, for example, would fetch a good price in the black market if he were to find one... or a red Kyber crystal. Now that would make for a fine pendant, or maybe a ring? Or some decent Credits. Finally, there were other more mundane things Raveem could scavenge from an ancient Imperial city. Such as information. These Sith must have kept libraries of information, right? They needed to keep their secrets somewhere. To the right client, this information could be worth millions... or billions if you sold it to the RIGHT client.

Well then...

Raveem rubbed his hands together. Let's get started.

On his way to the ancient city, Raveem was thinking of a plan on how he was going to infiltrate the systems of MandalMotors. That was his primary target after all... However, rushing to it and being out of sight for too long would make him look suspicious. He needed to wait for the right moment to strike.

Actually... another thing. Raveem felt strange here. It was... some kind of feeling that was pulling at his mind. Odd. Dread. Evil. He laughed at himself. For a moment, he was thinking like one of those "Jedi". Come on... he couldn't be distracted with tales of the "Force" and those who allegedly utilized it. He needed to focus on the task at hand.

Even then... he couldn't shake those feelings...

OCC: Sorry, totally forgot about this.

Daska stepped onto the tram and took a seat, though moved over so [member="Malcom Stillwater"] had enough room as he plopped down beside her. The history professor kept getting the feeling all was not as it seemed, but still couldn't quite put her finger on it. The blonde took out her cam recorder and took some footage of their trip to the lost city.

The tram ride itself was short and uneventful. When they got off, the Mando in charge gave each of the teams datapads with the lay out of the expedition area. [member="Er'in Tenel"] offered her two choices of where she might want to explore to their small group now formed. The history professor's hazel brown orbs perused over the information provided and thought for a moment.

"Well I would love to document a Sith mediation chamber for one as my students would go nuts over the it, but I'm game either way," she nodded to the raven-haired archeologist, then turned her gaze upon Malcom with a knowing look.

"What do you think, Dr. Stillwater?" There was a hint of sarcasm mixed in with her inquiry. He probably would choose the latter of the two because well, the rugged Corellian rather enjoyed the mysterious adventure a bit more than her. But that wasn't to say Daska didn't like the rare finds Mal usually stumbled across in a chaotic manner. The man just happened to be a trouble magnet if the Chandrilan ever saw one.
