Private The Bones of Wreckage

“Sounds peaceful. Dad, well, uncle for you…” Yeah Kaia, Iona knew how families worked… “He was so involved in the Galactic Alliance after his last war that he never really was around. Life was always busy, flying from here to there. Always some smuggling mission as a learning exercise.” And because it felt good to be useful. “Yeah, the Sentries seem like the best option, not a huge government, but people helping one another and protecting what matters…” She shrugged. Her adult life was in the Sanctum, when she left the war zones.

“Lets see what we can bring around. I feel like we’re staying our welcome a bit. Any luck on the repulsor?”
Kaia got to her knee to take a look at it, hitting a few buttons before popping open a panel.

“Show me what you can do…”
She grinned as she looked at the boxes, ready to lift with the Force.

"Don't tell me you have daddy issues cuzo." Iona kept her voice light, but she got it. Her own parents had been busy teaching in the enclave and had been involved in refugee work around the Sanctum. Still, she most likely saw them way more than Kaia Starchaser Kaia Starchaser had seen her father. Her parents weren't famous Jedi like Kaia's were.

"Sure." Getting into a comical lifting stance as if she was physically going to lift the engine, she reached out with the Force. She felt everything around her, Kaia...the ship...the little dust mites in the cargo hold...the cargo box itself...

The cargo box shook and moved slightly off the ground, but not much else was happening.

There was always a part of Kaia that was jealous of those that didn’t have to keep fighting or training when they were in their youth. She was fine with it nowadays, as it gave her that extra something nowadays. “Nah, I’d never say that. Dad was good, his friends took care of Jared and I early on. Then your parents showed up too.” Was ironic that they both connected with Mirialan women. Maybe something to do with the light side of the Force in the history of that race?

Seeing Iona move the way she did Kaia almost believed she was going to try to lift up the crate with her arms. Kaia reached forward to stop her, but then her younger cousin changed gears and reached out in the Force herself. Kaia rolled her eyes.

“Nice… Lets get back to the ship. I feel we’ve overstayed our welcome already.”
Drifter was keeping her ship ready to go.

Iona opened one eye to see her cousin looking far less impressed than she had expected. Didn't need to the Force to detect that one, the annoyance dripping off her. Yet now they had a path engine. An interesting development at that. The teenager was excited at the prospect but knew they would have to go back to home base. Or to an Enclave.

Speaking out loud about their new cargo would earn them trouble. She wondered what her cousin was going to do. What they were going to do. Iona was learning but she had a few ideas. Short time ideas involved staying quiet and not stopping anywhere for anything. Not until they got back to the Dawn Chaser with some of the heavy-hitters of the Starchaser family.

"So wha're we doing? I downloaded all the manifest and other information I could to work on."
