Location: The Ancilla Exterior Temple

The sound and the sights from the exterior temple were not one to balk at. Looking from the well towards the massive galactic disc let one behold so much more and the transparasteel coverings were perfectly safe with reinforced materials... the megastructure sitting there as it was being constructed to enclose the well and use it as a heart of a lightside nexus and forge. Though this here.. the temples meditation area was alos mercurial in its surface looking like a silver ocean which one could sit and move upon. With all of the colors of the galaxy above them to give a sense of place.... the jedi master herself though was sitting there and the meditations were going much deeper and deeper into the construction efforts as she could follow it with her mind. She could feel inwards and the dyson sphere that was made housed it.. the celestial forge itself and a jedi temple for the likes of Romi Jade Romi Jade and Coren Starchaser Coren Starchaser to visit... massive in size and its scale but functionally it was made to house billions of jedi.

This far out from worlds like Ahch-To and Ossus or even Tython and Coruscant she knew some of the more harder to pin down jedi like Jend-Ro Quill Jend-Ro Quill might find enjoyment in the solitude and she had one of the Fuegomiri roaming around as it seemed to be enjoying the stars in the distance... Her eyes drifting and with her legs crossed as the curtain of black hair framed around her covering the pale skin. The jedi master rested her fingers together... mouth slightly parted and the force hummed around her. THe jedi master allowing it to resonate at the smallest levels as she was stacking and changing.. altering the base of it to construct materials and with their technologies utilizing the Bangmangi... they were able to make other things like the purified crystals that resonated with the lightside of the force or even new metals that were only able to be lifted by a jedi.. others it was like trying to lift a mountain. She remained still just floating there as her motivation of Hanna Ike Hanna Ike was always there.

Slowly the other jedi who worked within the temple and were artisans and engineers bringing their skills to the construction mostly by working with the vast amounts of droids that served to construct it... and the massive ships that were being developed. THe choushin type bio ships that used lightside trees at their hearts and were able to tap into the cosmic force to aallow jedi spirits to provide insight to the ships crew in times of need. The many roots taken up across the galaxy. She knew a few other jedi who might want to see what was being made like Caltin Vanagor Caltin Vanagor or even one of her old students Vulpesen Vulpesen who might not have ever seen what a dyson sphere could look like let alone one that housed a massive ship yard creating jedi ships.... One of several shipyards sure but he was an old friend or student if he wanted that. Her hands coming out as she touched the crystal that had formed in her hand and the riftstone allowed one to tap into the rift itself which was skilled for Aang-Tii and Ta-Ree techniquies with the force.

He was changed. Different on multiple levels, physically, physiologically, mentally, but he still felt the Force. Even though not in the same way that others did anymore. He was being drawn to a point in the galaxy in a way that was new, it wasn’t a ripple in the Force, a tremor, or anything like that. No, he could hear something calling to him, literally hear it, he could recognize the tone. It was odd, but it worked and seemed to be pinged to him directly. Yes, the big man received a holo-message with an invitation but he had yet to really read through it yet. This was a more interesting approach.

His pilot droid “Mu51c” (Music) flew the ship but was almost waiting for him to give directions. It was funny as he programmed a personality to the pilot droid but did not anticipate impatience in the pilot of circuits. It was a jovial experience to hear the droid whir and beep its complaints as he was “taking too farkin’ long” to decide where to go. The thing is though he had to hear the call in order to know where it was coming from and that could tend to take some time.

When they reached the sector that they were heading to, it… well it was hard to render the big man speechless, but he was. A planet that looked to be almost completely mechanical in the middle of something that could only be realized as a Force Nexus was right in front of them. There was little to nothing organic that was not brought in, but he did not concern himself over that. This was clearly the source of the call in his mind, the point of origin to the tone, and from the looks of it all, he could tell cleanly as the ship set down, it was a Sasori construct.

“Music” would stay with the ship and tend to the systems checks, but “Roller” was going to do just as much exploring as Caltin was going to. He may not consider himself a “Jedi” among those today, but he still held the same core beliefs, believing in what is right and wrong. He also knew Master Matsu Ike Matsu Ike would welcome him if the two would cross paths.

The ancilla was much more then a simple construct... the megastructure was closed around the well, an area with hundreds of stars, pulsars and planets that were just slightly on the edge of the galaxy and visible to several dozen systems on the edge. Romi had wanted Jadelight beacon to be something for the people of the unknown regions to come to the jedi and seek aid.. the revitalization of Ossus served for the outer rim worlds and this well this was meant to be a watch tower as it were able to observe it all as the jedi master walked around. The news that a ship had come on approach well was always good to see as she wondered if they wanted to be on the surface or go inside.

SHe walked through the halls of the exterior temple and shell able to see much more from the viewports.. the fractal design catching the light and using a small amount o illuminate the rooms. THe massive hanger was made to house larger ships to be worked on as droids flew around and moved assembling the more advanced jedi starfighters. Her hands clasping in front of herself as the jedi master looked at the mountain of a jedi in Caltin Vanagor Caltin Vanagor . The dimunitive jedi master stood there with her hair pulled back over her shoulders, robes pressed and cleanly done so everything was smooth and stain free... a small smile tightly on her face as her lips remained together seeing him again. "Welcome master Vanagor."

She bowed her head allowing the small distance to be there for some comfort but also because it made looking up and meeting his eyes easier... the small statue of the five foot jedi master who looked frail as one had said but she was trained muscles. Standing as tall aas she could with her sabers visible on her hip as well as the riftstone on he hip as she slipped it. "I am glad you were able to come, I just finished working on a riftstone so you may have all of my attention." Her hand came out and motioned to the side for him to walk as the hanger went towards the hallway leading to one of the large audience chambers. "We are just retrofitting the kenobi fleet with the latest systems we have developed."

“Evolve mentally. Evolve emotionally. Evolve Spiritually.” - Etta Arlene

” Master Vanagor”. It is as strange to hear today as the first time anyone ever addressed him as such, though maybe for different reasons. Were they though? He was still angry with those who he stood beside who did not (repeatedly) reciprocate the same actions he committed to them. Then again could he have ever expected anyone to take being a Jedi as seriously as he did? Was this really any different? It was.

However not for reasons already given.

When he was finally “found”, after the whole “Jedha” issue, he was angry, and rightfully so. Not one Jedi outside Master @Jend Ro Quill made any effort to look for him outside of tracing a transaction that he was never trying to hide in the first place. That in itself was insulting and no one outside his former Padawan @Desbre Gensen even tried to look for him after that. Maybe it was for the best as he needed to build on himself some more.

So what now? Was he still a Jedi? Yes, he is was, and always will be. The thing is, he is not of the same mindset that many of them are today. There is either a complete lack of respect, a lack of decorum, or a lack of any level of common decency. Sure, he could continue to dwell on just how different they all are today and how there are multiple branches and factions and kliqs when it comes to Jedi. Some may sit and wait for people to come to them, but he was going to continue to be the person he was, let the rest sort itself.

He wasn’t going to stop her from addressing him as such and he would not continue this inner monologue about who he was. He was here to look around and learn about some of the good things that the galaxy was coming to. Who better to show him around than the woman who was probably behind all of it. She might be able to offer him some insight into what he could do with his weapons. Did he need them anymore? Could she offer insight into other aspects of his abilities? Only time will tell.

You know me. A student of Engineering. It’s good to see you, Master Ike.

His appearance was as clear and streamlined as always. He offered his own normal bow which was always tight, his own previously mentioned saber hilts hanging over his back. As he followed, he looked around at what she pointed. The mention of “The Kenobi Fleet” reminded him of his old friend and colleague. It actually brought a long-missing smile to his face. Guardian Authority Ltd. was more or less self-sufficient and Liram was handling the day-to-day anyway.

You really should be proud, not that Jedi are supposed to be prideful.

The smirk was followed by a joking nudge.

This place looks amazing. Are you completely operational?

He had no intention of spying or anything and it was up to her if she wanted to give him a full answer, but the curiosity was genuine. There was still the sense of concern over whether or not he should be here, but that was for another time. Ike helped him and went above and beyond in doing so. So he could respect what she did and what this place was about.

"We are." She said it and offered a small grin. "We have been finishing construction of the inner structures.... one is the actual forge location at the center of the well. Each armor draws in the power of the stars around it and uses them to charge the forge and function.... the world at its center is developed to improve construction efforts for other jedi items and artifacts. Stations and mobile temples can be constructed here exponentially easier and the many planetoids aaround here have largely been destroyed making converting them into raw materials is much easier." She looked at him though and he seemed more internally monologuing then she could remember.

"It is one of the largest in terms of structures we are creating more so then the shipyards and even the Library monolith. So there is a little need for additional engineers." THankfully with their droid and biot research they could grow them and foundry ships were essential for producing the materials needed across the massive dyson sphere. The exterior lit up and displaying some of the light from before largely to keep it visible. They were working on other projects here as well. "We are also working on additional endeavors, with the drengir seeming to be awakening again and encountered. We have the third generation of Heralds set to deploy in larger numbers."

She stopped and looked out another viewport as it opened and revealed the interior of the dyson ssphere.. the massive well filled with stars, planets and pulsars. "Welcome to the well Master Caltin.... a thousand stars strung together with pulsars, rogue planets and billions of asteroids rich in crystal."

“Wonder is the beginning of wisdom..” - Socrates

” Impressive” was the only apropos word when it came to this place. It was really something that gave the Jedi… not an edge but a true and necessary resource that that had lacked for a long time. Not that the Jedi were meant to have this sort of thing by their very nature and heritage. Some might say that this nature is what kept them from “deserving” anything like this. The Forges were interesting. That was something he would be following up on because while he did not count himself among the Jedi anymore, he did still carry lightsabers. One of them needed to be refit.

More about that later.

The Drengir was a serious issue, he remembered them from the past. Though with so many different endeavors that this place was embarking on, it was going to be something that could be addressed when necessary and not reacted to when it was too late. There was too much in the way of “reacting” and not handling, not to say that Jedi or anyone should seek trouble out, but being ready for it is a good thing.

When they reached the well, he just could not hide his amazement any longer. Cybernetic eyes enlarged to the size of dinner plates as the big man just stared out the viewport. The place was an engineer’s dream, let alone a “tinkerer” like him.

The jedi master continued to tour.. the massive shell was able to stretch as far as one could see and to give scope she had plenty as the energy from the well was being cvollected in the panels and viewports. Screens showing how much they were harvesting were on disaplay as it was being used to power more of the systems within the temple. "We have worked on the reconstruction of a number of features from other jedi temples... from biodomes for environmental training to housing and food production. We are able to do it on aa scale and with our improved stasis for storage it can be stored for decades in case of a need for emergency use. Recovery droids and probes for systems in the companion galaxies to explore some of the places Jorus and SOr-Jan explored." She was leading the way into another one of the rooms and turned to look at him. "Hmm though you seem to have changed now.. something happened I imagine." She saaid it and looked at him but didn't make a ploay to try and say she was sorry for him.. he could have reached out.. many could and she would be there but she wasn't all knowing... yet a joke.... "Should you require a confidant I am here Master Caltin.. I know a thing or two about having your views rocked."

“Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose “ – (The more things change, the more they stay the same). - Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr

Caltin just smiled at the last observation. There was no real humor to it, just irony. No, he was not mad at Master Ike for asking, it was a genuine and fair question to ask. It was probably the fact that she could not sense him through the Force that set her on this inquisition. That would start with anyone. It did not matter how she was brought to this point, she was here and he could at least entertain the notion. After all, she did not ask him with an ulterior motive, it was a fair way for her to ask and conduct herself. That and she made his lightsabers.

What gave me away? The lack of an aura? Or the fact that I can do this?

In a blur, Vanagor was across the open area and holding up one of the heavy lifting droids over his head. The clear confusion on the poor bot was almost cute if it was not so unplanned and concerning to those around him. Setting it down gently, the big man walked back over, no worse for the wear. Unlike the previous few times he has brought it up (up until talking to Quill), Vanagor was reticent to discuss everything because he was not sure he was completely changed yet. However, it had been some time and things seemed to be settled.

Master Ike, I still hold every ideal and belief I did from the last time you and I had seen each other aboard the Jadelight Beacon. However, I have changed so dramatically that I do not think that I can physically be counted among Force Users, let alone the Jedi anymore.

Letting that sink in, he took a bottle of Elba Water off of a nearby refreshment stand and took a sip. He studied the look on her face nonchalantly as he took another.

I was losing focus of my connection to the Force and discovered that there was potentially only one true way to not become a danger to everyone around me. So to do this, and not lock me away from the galaxy at the same time was to find a way to repair the damage. My quest to find this way had led me to the Wellspring of Life. Well, they were able to repair the damage to my brain and my body, but everything is “rewired”, you might say. I may not even be technically “human” anymore.

Making a fist and rotating it as he looked the appendage over, the big man observed.

I can feel the Force in me, but it is static. I do not have to think about doing anything anymore. I can just do it. It’s weird. Everything is naturally enhanced.

He then laughed openly.

Even apparently my chattiness. I'm not complaining though. It feels good to actually talk about this without being concerned the other person may be more interested in examining me than talking.

That was meant as a joke, but he inwardly hoped she wasn't mentally preparing an exam table.

She watched and listened to him a feeling of amusement on her face when he spoke more and the wellspring was quite interesting. "Did the priestesses chatter endlessly with you as well?" She said it and stood there for a moment watching him as she observed. "The Wellspring is a beautiful place where one can become different with the force. There is other places in the galaxy but no where near as powerful." THen she moved and it was different... the focus becoming small... smaller and then smaller as she froze and paused the friction of the molecules to move through them and give the look she was teleporting as she moved at quicker speeds through almost perfectly zero temperatures.

"But it was not the aura that shows you have changed, your stance, your demeanor... the wild thoughts to put across the surface of your mind." She stayed there and held out one hand while floating around and speaking. She held a hand up as she touched the atoms and stacked them watching him. "Through my fingers you'll see pink grains are falling, haphazard, random, a disorganized stream of silicone that seems pregnant with the possibility of every conceivable shape… But this is illusion. Things have their shape in time, not space alone. Some marble blocks have statues within them, embedded in their future."

As she spoke though she was forming it into a lightsaber hilt to look at him and slowly it formed almost as if from nothing... when in fact it was art of the small done quickly. "If you are not human then what have I become?" He eyes searched his when the words came out. "I have walked across the surface of the sun. I have witnessed events so tiny and so fast, they could hardly be said to have occurred at all." She finished and there was a lightsaber in her hand matching his while she presented it. "Most think I merely study obscure force traditions... few understand that there are older things in the forrce that manipulate and play games with all of us and some."

~” Showoff.”~ He thought to himself with a chuckle. Of course, the big man was not expecting this type of display. Maybe he needed to be knocked down a peg or two (like he was), maybe she was just showing that he was not alone in what happened to him even if his situation was unique. Either way, this seemed to bring back much of what the big guy used to be. Sure, he still had an issue with Jedi not coming to look for him, but it is what it is.

He did indeed watch everything and while his natural “en garde” nature (aka - Paranoia) told him that there was something else going on with the pink grains and the lightsaber hilt; he was still taken in by the majesty of it all. It was clear that there was more to this woman than just about anyone could imagine. While he did not think that he was above the galaxy on any level, this reminded him of something he already knew…

… there is always someone better…

I’m sorry for any misunderstanding. I meant no disrespect. I am just not used to talking about myself, always listening. I had forgotten what it is like to have someone’s reassuring voice in my ear.

Mind you, Vanagor did not think that Ike was insulted by anything that she had heard from him, but it was sincere. Her natural abilities and connection to the galaxy were something to be honored and that was probably a part of why he felt it easy to open up to her on this level in ways that had not before with others. He did not need a mentor, but maybe he did need a friend.

They were chatty. The priestesses, I believe probably because I was in a bad mental state at the time. With what was going on with me, and the worry over my adoptive little sister Ala .

He went on to tell her about Ala Quin. About how they were tight-knit “Chosen” siblings for almost nine-hundred years (hibernations notwithstanding). He told her about all of their trials and tribulations and that no matter what, he was always there for her when she needed him and she was always there when he needed her (though he tried to be strong). He even mentioned how she is carving out a life for herself in the galaxy today and while he could not be happier for her that she is stepping out of his shadow, he misses their time together all the same. Nothing but fond mentions and memories though.

Anyway, the priestesses, now that you showed me how minuscule my new skills are compared to you!

Another wink, nudge and joke.

… they just enhanced my physical and elemental side, I guess. Nothing special…

He went back to looking out the viewport as “Roller”, his astromech finally caught up to them and introduced himself.

Master Matsu Ike. This is my good friend, R0-11. I just call him “Roller”. He’s a great maintainer of the ship, and I have a pilot droid as well, but I may need to get him a partner. Would you be able to help with that?

She listened about Ala and nodded as she had met a few older ones... hibernation seemed to be a great thing from that era of the galaxy for many of them though... made her more curious though and she might have to investigate it. Then there was a small droid and she looked at him with a nod of her head. "We can help with that... there are several droid models we haave worked on from an astromech for ships to a simple companion droid model, seeker type drones you can send out to scout an area and microdroids for infiltration." THe jedi master said it while she was standing there and moved her hands to be in front of herself. "What sort of specifications would you like the droid to have?"

“Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you get.” - Dale Carnagie

That was the million credit question, was it not? What kind of droid would serve the best purpose? There were multiple possible needs for what he does and simple one-purpose droids may not serve his needs. Giving it some thought as he watched Roller ham it up, the big man mulled over what he would be best served in suggesting without giving up much if anything.

Roller carries the droidbrain of my old R2 unit…

The astromech beeped in protest.

Yes, you do…

Another protest.

Yes, you do, but you had a memory wipe. Anyway, the core programming is still intact and it acts as a tertiary system, so Roller here can complete a lot of the tasks to keep the ship maintained that my pilot droid cannot. The thing is, he cannot talk to my ship, and Music is not that technical, so I would need someone that can liaise between them a…

Then it hit him.

Have you ever read up on the old “HK” droids? 47? 51? 55? They were capable of protocol, slicing, and well… combat if necessary. That would be all I needed to protect my ship when I am not around.

Vanagor was not looking specifically for an assassin droid, but one with such a wide array of abilities would be what he needed.

The jedi master listened to what he wanted and she nodded her head in understanding.. the old HK models were well they were not that old. HK from the protectorate had been well known and even led a planet with his models which went a long way when she was youngerr. "I am familiar with them, there are droids that can fit the purpose." She Said it and directed with one hand as the small interface from hardlight appeared and two Guardian Class Droids were set to come and enter the room. With sleek bodies and trrained for combat and protective endeavors. "We developed guardian droids based on HK and jedi guardian droids. They can protect an area and are advanced models." She said it but there were some good things from it. "Or if you require it there can be custom model droids we have developed advanced biots for these purposes and it would give you the look of being people friendly."

The droids looked to be as impressive as they looked to be dangerous. He was not looking for an escort or “backup” or anything, he was looking for one to protect the ship and these would do fine. As he looked the two over, they appeared to be identical, so the big man just looked at what he could find. Spectrum transceiver, interface, combat, and warfare upgrades, and processors, went all out. With a nod, he walked around them one more time.

I’ll take them both.

Now the question is “What’s next?”

How are your medical facilities? Might as well see what I can and can’t do while I’m here. If that is okay that is.

Vanagor had a good idea, but there needed to be some level of record.

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
Caltin Vanagor Caltin Vanagor

She was glad he approved and enjoyed the praise about them. THe moment of joy was there but she didn't show it on her face... more continuing with his idea and medical facilities. "We are going with the latests we have developed for the Kiyomi the medical SSD that has been developed and used for endeavors across the galaxy upon request. Advanced medical labs, medical biots and droids, deployable hospitals we can send and move on worlds. An advanced medical AI so that many can be trained and taught on top of treated."

She was looking at him though and had a massive grin on her face now as she got to go over much more of the specs. "We have envirnonmental training domes forr simulated areas... from beaches to snow, deserets, jungles and even volcanos... We have one that simulates low gravity and heavy gravity worlds... time dilation effects from worlds and trraining chambers. Advanced hydroponic and converters for food supplies and advanced storaage to turn this into a massive production facility that can send resources out to devastated world. From food to medical supplies, clothing and essentials we can work to help the galaxy while internally building what is needed for the next series of daarksid groups coming."

As Master Ike was extolling the wide range of capabilities, the big man was impressed, to say the least. There really was a varied list of facilities, and while he appreciated the explanations, Vanagor was not quite sure that she understood what he was asking.

The High G environment sounds perfect for my physical abilities. As for the others, I might want to do some exploring.

She gave a nod of her head to that. "THe heavy gravity room is a good place to improve upon yourr physical capabilities. So faar the highest anyone has managed was seven hundred times normal gravity and that was the baseline for the Heralds power armor. They are tested and able to move at full speed." She said it and well the HEralds were many thing but Krass had spent considerable time augmenting and crafting their armor.. testing it and like the guardians they were lightside soldiers but not like the army of light or the ashlan crusade these were made to go in and direct units or purge darkside creatures and forces.

“We don’t know who we are until we see what we can do.” - Martha Grimes

With a nod, he found himself following her to one of these specialized High gravity biodomes. She was probably speaking to others through the Force as there seemed to be weighted items and some sort of tracked machine that looked like he could run on it. It took a few moments of controlled breathing, just like before he would prepare for a run, but the big man was doing so while taking off his tunic and undershirt. No, this was not some macho stunt to impress any ladies or guys for that matter, it was just less constrictive. It also gave Ike time to get to some sort of observation point.

He did not need any type of signal. The increased pull of the gravity was there and in an instant. Not terribly taxing right away, he could still move easily and get into a run on this tracked machine. Some of the items were not within reach but he could feel the calling tone and suddenly it felt like the big man was dragging his bare feet over a carpet. The electrical animation in him was building and before Vanagor knew it his arm was extending and tendrils of electrical power shot out and at one of the larger crates. The vibrancy engulfed the canister and it levitated as if an extension of Vanagor’s hand. He was not trying to do this, he was not calling out or centering the Force or anything. He just completed the task.

A loader was a bit of a distance away. The massive Wanderer only glanced and soon it was rolling towards him at an advanced rate, only to stop short. Seconds later the machine was holding the crate that was once levitating at his side. This was done via no effort, only a mere thought in his mind. Slowly the weight under his feet was getting more intense. Was this a test?
