The Brother of Fire (Nickolas Imura)

Lucien nodded, relieved "good work" He tossed the saber down "we have played with sabers enough now it is time we moved back onto the force, in particular pushes and pulls" Lucien said "they may be simple but they are also very effective if used correctly" He placed a training dummy in front of Nicolas between the two of them "Focus on the dummy and try to pull it too you" He said making no attempt to guide or demonstrate the boy would learn faster when he had to think for himself.

I opened my eyes as he told me told me good work. I was glad that I had some talent in the future for me. However, whenever I held the lightsaber, I felt.... off. As though it was not made for me. it felt awkward in my hands and I liked the feeling of a heavy blade. maybe I could talk to someone about making a sword for me. I rather liked the swords and would rather want something like that, then just a weapon that was light, yet could cut through almost everything.

I shut off the saber, and connecting the two sabers once more, I put it on my belt for later use. Luicen then told me to use the force now. Instructing me to pull on the dummy. I needed to pull it towards myself. and I had to concentrate. I was used to running and throwing more often than not. so my pulling was out of control most of the time. Now I had to learn how to focus it.

looking straight at the dummy, where it's eyes would have been, I reached out with my right hand, but it felt awkward once more, switching my position to my left facing towards the dummy, I reached out with the force, grabbing the dummy. I could see as the cloth like material on the outside of the dummy was clenched somewhat. Smiling, I slowly pulled towards me. Hoping that it was in control.

Lucien watched as the dummy slowly began to slide across the floor. Pull was not all that difficult and he was therefore not surprised with the speed his apprentice picked it up. He nodded "You seem to have that down, try a push now " he said he fully expected this would take very little time to. He had covered nearly all the basics and only a few powers remained. Then it would reach the stage were Nicolas would accompany him on missions and shadow him.

I smiled as I was now told to push the dummy. I allowed the dummy to stop, when only a second paused between it. my arm was pulled back as I was pulling the dummy towards me, I smiled as my hand lashed out and followed by the sound of a large bang, the dummy was sent flying to the other end of the room. As it fell like a ragdoll. I gripped it with the force, pulled it back towards me, and set it back up should I need the dummy again.

Lucien was equally unsurprised at his apprentices proficiency with force pushing, as outlined before these moves were not difficult. He nodded "It seems we need no further discussion on those aspects of the force" He turned "excuse me a moment I need something for the next skill" he called behind him. He needed to collect a someone in truth.

He returned moments later, his entrance signaled by a chain clad prisoner stumbling into the room before landing on the floor "Up" Lucien ordered, the prisoner nodded timidly his eyes were blank. Before his arrest he had been a furious murder fearing nothing and no one. The power of the sith was unlimited however and Lucien had shattered his mind reducing him to a shrunken, fear ridden man. "You are going to practice force choke on this man, focus on his throat and compress it" Lucien said emotionless.

I noted that the man cared little to nothing about the smaller force powers that I had. Mainly they were skills that would be useful every once in a while, but nothing that would make a huge difference if I was a master or not at it. still, the man told me to stay sill. I did so. Only taking out my lightsabers to look at the hit design and the work that was put into it. As he returned with a chained up slave, I looked at the poor man.

Only to find that this man probably deserved what he got. he was thrown before my feet. As he looked up from where he was, I could see the pain in the man's eyes. I looked to my Master as he told me to choke him with the force. The man tried to give me the eyes and face of a wounded pup. I turned around from him and I could hear a sigh. I didn't want to, but I was following orders. Suddenly I turned around, Pushed him with the force away from me so his arms wouldn't reach my body, and gripped him on the neck with the force.

I could see the man's eyes bulge before me. Gripping at his neck for something that wasn't there, I held onto him. His feet dangling a good foot in the air.

Lucien watched his face devoid of emotion. The prisoners life meant less than nothing to him. He felt the prisoners life force ebb away. He allowed the choking to continue for five minutes then used the force to snap the Prisoners neck.

"You can let go" Lucien said nonchalantly "You didn't enjoy that did you ... this is a good thing, ending a life should never come easily, even one so wrenched as his. "I have taught you the basics the rest will come with experience, until such time as I see fit to knight you you will shadow me in missions, now you have a choice you may reside here in the palace or I can accommodation in the city"

Even as I was holding the man up, Eventually he stopped moving and squirming. I tried hard not to think about the life that had been taken from him. And even as I killed the man, I could feel my arm increase in pain. Enough so that it stung and made me wince. But I hoped that my Master overlooked that part.

As he spoke, he said that it was not right to kill. But that it was necessary. Saying that he had taught me the basics. I nodded my head. Smiling as he had set me on my path to where I would find my life. He asked if I would be staying here, or in different accommodations. I thought about it for a moment. and decided.

"I guess I will stay here. Maybe I can learn something else other than the force and lightsaber combat." I needed to be around people. and to learn how to react to people. Most of my life I had dealt with no contact from the outside world. and now that I have, I need to learn how to talk to people. and I might as well start with the house staff.
