He listend without showing any sign of annoyance or anger at her words, just staying quiet as she spoke and said her part. When she finished speaking he raised his right hand, assuming he was able. "You are partly correct, but partly wrong. The Sith Code says nothing of showing strength, nor implies that you should. Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall free me." After he finished quoting the code, he took a moment to breath and collect his thoughts, then spoke.
"The emphasis is on I. Me. Myself. Through passion, my passion, i gain strength. Through my own strength, i gain my power. Through my power, i gain victory. Through my Victory, i break my chains. Using the force, i free myself. There are many passions, emotions, that can drive a person. And many more ways forms of strength. As you mentioned earlier, many Sith use raw power and fear. They 'force' the people under them and make them serve. Others use cunning, deception and plots, making people unwittingly play across their own strings. Yet i would not call either of these people powerful. Let us say this mighty warrior is defeated in battle. Those who feared him before will now see, he can be defeated. And so they shall. A sorcerer with grand plots and trickery, fooling his betters and his lessers, when found out, will quickly be ousted and removed. Neither can call their power stable, not truely. Yet there is another way Sith inspire loyalty and gain strength and power. Let me make an example with a situation for you."
"You are walking alone down a dark alley alone. A young man turns around the corner at a dead run, afraid for his life, falling down after coming to a stop in front of you. He looks like a street urchin. A few seconds behind him is a man who looks like he is on the verge of death, holding a knife and attempting to kill the young man. What do you do?"
