"Seven, get him on that transport." The commando gave Nomad a questioning look, but the clone made it clear this order couldn't be question. "The rest of Team One is to accompany the Senator on the transport. The prisoner is staying with me."
Nomad walked over to the male prisoner shaking his head. Maybe when he woke up he'd get some information out of him. Now wasn't the time, though. Reaching over to pick up the bound man, he walked him over to one of the transports and threw him on.
"All units, report in!" Nomad shouted. Soon enough, all of his company reported that they were ready to be evac'd. "Alright, you all know the procedure. Two transports at a time. Emplacements and my own transport will be the last to deploy. We have ten minutes, now move!"
As soon as his orders were out, the first two transports were in the air. Browsing through the reports, along with the security, several Senators and dozens of civilians had been saved and brought to the hangar. The casualty and missing list was still unacceptable, but the fact that they had saved so many gave Nomad a bit of hope. "Tell me if he wakes up," Nomad said, pointing to the prisoner as he ran deeper into the hangar, motioning to those left behind to get to the gunships. "Leave, now! Go, go, go!"
The droids seemed to have noticed the evac operation, for the explosions and blaster fire were getting closer. Two more transports were away already, and the next two were just taking off. Even if the droids managed to make a counter push, they would all be evacuated in time. Nomad had won this small, insignificant battle.
"Captain, it's our turn." The pilots of the gunshiop sounded anxious and ready to leave. Without a second though, Nomad jumped onto the transport, and as soon as he did, the blast doors shut and the transport was off the ground. "Transports Nine and Ten in the air. East hangar clear, all civilians away!"
The explosions in the air rocked the transport, but they weren't close enough. Thanks to the brilliant work from Rogue Squadron, they were clear, and the civilians were safe. Kneeling down next to their captured prisoner, Nomad reached out to his neck to check his vitals. Still alive, but he was roughed up.
"You awake?" Nomad asked gruffly, not expecting a response.
