Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
“There you go.” She said, the hand around Rys’sya’s back gently moving in a circular motion. “I’m glad you understand now. I’m glad...” she replied. When she felt the time was right, she slowly released the acolyte.

“Alright. So now we have that issue out of the way. Let’s keep penetrating deeper into the cavern until we find what we’re looking for.” She said, smiling. “I’m sorry for responding so virulently. If you need to read my surface thoughts... I’ll let you.”

The acolyte was a slight nod as she was released. She was unsure what to make of all of this. She was significantly more subdued as the two continued their trek deeper into the cavern. Rys'sya didn't really wish to continue, but she knew there was no escaping Vanessa. The smoothest path to survival was submission. So she followed, obediently. She kept her sight restrained, throttled back, only seeing what Vanessa actively decided to project, given how forceful the initial response was to her skim earlier.

As they proceeded, Rys'sya's curiosity began to grow slightly, as she could swear she felt something far deeper in the cavern ahead of them. It was faint, due to twists and turns ahead separating the two of them from the source of this Darkness she felt, but certain as the lace upon her face, there was a potent source of Darkness ahead of them, awaiting their discovery within the cave.

"... M.... my Lord...." the hesitant acolyte started, "Vanessa..... there is.... something.... ahead...." she informed the Sith Lord, raising a hand to gesture in the direction the darkness was originating.

"I feel it too." She said, sighing. "The place is filled with power. Untapped power. How remarkable." They would come across a small niche in the rock, where a door had been located - now it was opened, as though it was expecting them, or someone had come before them. "I'll consider it remarkable if this tomb is only slightly violated. To find an unopened Sith tomb - a truly unopened one - is unheard of." Vanessa chuckled a bit. "How ironic that much or our strength comes from cannibalizing the ruins and remains of those who fell before us."

She would enter into the tomb, a mental indication nudging Rys and motioning for her to follow. "Let's see what we can find in here. I can only hope there is something of worth to be found."

The young acolyte nodded in agreement, before swallowing hard at the prompt to proceed. As soon as she crossed the threshold behind the Sith Lord, the acolyte stood stock still, concentrating upon the Force. A pulse, completely imperceptible to those with no training in the sensory arts, was sent out from the acolyte, acting as a Doppler-effect. Suddenly Rys'sya gestured in three directions.

"That way, one sentient, alive. That direction, another sentient, alive, under great stress, I assume in some sort of trap. And that direction, slightly lower elevation than we are currently, is what all of us are likely seeking...."

Turning her sightless gaze towards the Sith Lord, Rys'sya would incline her head slightly. "What is the plan, Vanessa?"

"To proceed towards what's important." She said as they would head deeper, towards the source of Dark Side power. "Be wary. There may be visions, illusions crafted by the darkness of the tomb itself. Hold my hand." She offered her hand as they would further enter into the tomb of Ludo Kressh. "It's surprising that this tomb managed to successfully survive all these years in such a condition. A consequence, I suppose, of it being hidden within the shyrack caves."

Yet someone had made it through. Who?

The one in distress was likely no threat, the other was likely blissfully unaware of the two Sith approaching. So, it would make sense to progress straight towards the objective. But, Rys'sya was reluctant to not keep alert for the two potential threats. They fact that there were no shyracks for the two Sith to encounter made Rys'sya concerned about the danger these two potential threats represented. The one that was in distress was of lower concern, though the other had semi-erratic movement patterns. It made Rys'sya assume this individual was actively searching a room. The presence would move a few body-lengths, then stop. It would then, waver, as it were, as if the entity was examining something, manipulating things present around it.

Rys'sya found herself equally concerned and intrigued. "I do not know if it would be wise to let these.... visitors.... remain unchecked.... if they are fellow Sith, that would be one thing.... but should they be unaffiliated, pillaging the tombs of those before us...." she trailed off. Certainly the Sith Lord would agree, the contents of this tomb belong to the Sith, if not the dead.

“I am willing to bet that what we are sensing are echoes. Traces of a person who once explored this tomb and was driven mad by whatever its defenses are. You would be surprised as to what sort of horrid constructs one can come across in these places.” Vanessa further penetrated into the tomb, heading towards the central chamber.

“Let us continue forwards.”
