The Darker Ways [Avicus DuSang]

"Lilith, you have been a bad girl today. You'll have to go to bed without dinner today!" Lilith's mother said. The girl was crying. She had tried to protect Jasmine from their father who wanted to punish Jasmine for almost nothing. She hadn't done the thing their parents had thought she had done. She was not guilty. A boy who had visited them was guilty. But their parents didn't understand it. They didn't care about their children. They didn't care about anyone at all. Well, maybe excluding themselves. They loved themselves. And so Lilith went upstairs to her room. She started crying even louder and the tears started flowing down even faster. Her mother had shouted at her after a few moments: "Shut up, you stupid creature!"

It was the memory Lilith had. The whole "stupid" thing had pushed the memory from Lilith's brain to appear to Lilith once again. She started crying, but she tried to hide it from Avicus. She didn't feel like it was a good idea to cry. After all, she should've relaxed. That's what the man wanted her to do. And that's what she should've done. Now that she was a free bird, she should've had forgotten everything about her past.

"We should take a dessert and then go to the Estate..." Lilith said after she stopped crying. She decided the pub was too bad for her as it made bad memories reappear. She almost started seeing a bad memory about her sister, but she managed to keep it away. She didn't want to see anything from her past again. She was a Sith after all. She shouldn't feel bad... She shouldn't be weak. Emotions were for the weak.

As an empath, the memory she relived along with the feelings associated with it, was seen and felt by him. Standing up, he walked over to her, kneeling beside her. Olive fingers gently wiped the tears from her cheeks as the softest kiss was placed upon her forehead.

"On the contrary. Nothing is more powerful to a Sith then their emotions. Remember the Code. Peace is a lie, there is only passion. We Sith strive on emotion. They fuel us. Power us." Standing up, the waitor approached them.

"Have some dessert delivered to my Estate." he said, handing the man his credit stick. A hand outstretched to her as he smiled once more.

"Shall we, madamoiselle?"

Lilith tried to keep the bad memories out of her head... But they tended to come back every time she tried to fight against them. She didn't manage keeping the memories out. She was covered with a bad story about her past again. It covered her sight, her listening... her thoughts. She started crying even before she was fully covered by the memory... She knew what it was about... She knew she doesn't like it. It was about Jasmine.

It was another normal day. Lilith had just come home again, but their parents weren't there. Only her younger sister Jasmine was home. She was alone there. As Lilith saw her, she immediately ran to her and hugged her, asking: "Why are you home alone?" She didn't get an answer. And she didn't get it many hour later either. They spent the rest of their day home together. As it started getting darker, Lilith became worried about their parents. She decided to go looking for them.

"Jasmine... Stay home! I'll go looking for our parents!" she had said. But Jasmine started crying. She was afraid of the dark. She was afraid of being home alone. After all, she was really young at that time. "Just... wait a bit. I'll be back soon."

And so Lilith left. She started looking for their parents on their home street, but she couldn't find them there. She didn't find them anywhere else either, so she decided to go to aunt Spinci. That's what they had always called her. Lilith still doesn't know her real name... As she knocked on Spinci's home's front door, the aunt came out. "What are you doing here, my dear Lilith?" she asked from her. "Come inside!"

Lilith didn't have to see the rest of the memory... She already knew what was coming. Luckily, the memory was wiped out of her head and she found herself crying. Again. She looked at Avicus and said: "Let's go to the Estate!" All of the corruption voice: the eho, the whisper, the wind... it was gone. Although she was still corrupted, she didn't have this voice anymore. She was normal again. She was a person, a living person again.
