Strengths:

• Dovin Basals: The Vong biome that is built into the ship supports Dovin Basals which gives the Darkstar the ability to switch between shielding, or extra speed.
• Plasma Cannons- The Qekoth Plasma cannons can penetrate most shielding, although only at extreme close range and with a long cool down time in between
• Speed: The Darkstar is an incredibly fast ship for it's class

Weaknesses:

• No Hangar: The ship supports no other craft other than itself
• Undergunned: The Darkstar is lower on guns than most other Corvettes in it's class. Though it seems to have not been built for stand up fights, but evasion
• Rickety: Things are mish moshed together haphazardly. Between alien technology and living Vong biomes, anything could go wrong at any moment.
• Weak point: The belly of the ship seems to be the weakest point. A serious score on it could caue a major hull breach, or shut down critical systems

Description:

The Darkstar is not Valeria original vessel. Upon her expansion into the Fringe territories he and her crew were crashed into a station they thought was safe, during a scouting mission. There they faced off against an unknown alien species, with acid blood. she was forced to abandoned ship and most of her crew was killed.

Though with the help of Jak Sandrow, Formorta, and a few others, she managed to escape. In their hurry to flee they grabbed a random ship, that turned out to be the Darkstar. It seems to have no particular manufacturer, but is more a smash together of components from various alien techs. It is believed to have been made by possible outlaws or even pirates.

Not great for a stand up battle, the Darkstar can still fly away at max speed if things go south.
