"...wait, now who's this joker?" Nalah was surprised when sharp-dressed men sauntered into the scene, trying to calm down Kera and also eliciting a flustered reaction from Seku. Who exactly was this new guy, and why was he bandying around favors like some kind of fairy godfather? Sure, getting a get-out-of-trouble free card from a hungover SIA agent was one thing, but this 'Dominik' was raising Nalah's eyebrows.

"Look, I'm heading for the lobby, whoever wants to fly me to my ship can meet me there. The rest of you, have a safe trip home and try not to puke any more on the upholstery."
She began to move around the room, gathering up the rest of her clothes and subtly trying to pocket as much loose change and other small valuables as she could fit in her pockets. If her shipment was a bust she would need some quick cash.

Seku grabbed Alex by the collar of his coat and all but dragged him towards the door.

"Let's head for the lobby and meet up with Nalah," she said. "We need to fly her to her ship."

"I don't recall volunteering for that...."

"No, you didn't, actually. I'm drafting you."

"So...why are you sticking your neck out for someone who's probably a smuggler," Alex asked as they were waiting for the elevator.

"To tell you the truth, I'm really not sure."

"Ah ha! You got the hots for her after last night. I knew it..."

Alex winced as Seku slugged him in the shoulder with a punch he didn't see coming

"Ok...I totally deserved that. Not going to lie...."

"Damn right you did, Mister!"

"Something tells me I probably don't want to know why Dominik is actually here," Alex whispered to Seku, after retrieving his belt and lightsabers from Kera.

"It's definitely better that you don't," Seku answered.
"...wait, now who's this joker?"

Dominik turned to address all three of them. "SIA business. You know the policy about sharing information between jobs, Seku. Less you know, less you can testify to. You didn't see me here, nor did you see Kera ."

He wondered, breifly, if he had had anything near to a normal upbringing, would he enjoy going to parties that looked like this afterwards? Would he have found somebody that looked good in almost nothing like this Zygerrian woman or Seku did before recently? Probably. But that wasn't his hand.

He flashed a smile before nodding his head towards the elevator. "Let's go."

The Chiss nodded to the Stranger before following to the elevator. “So when are you going to tell me what the Alliance wants with me?” Kera asked while waiting for the elevator doors to open.

Dominik stayed silent, giving Kera a sidelong glance. "I won't be." He then glanced at the others in the rooms before entering the elevator, waiting for Kera to follow. "We'll talk in private. Got someone for you to meet."

Nalah was waiting in the lobby, trying her hardest to be patient, but still itching somewhat as she waited for her Blue Fairy to come down and make her wish for a speedy getaway come true. This was all kinds of insane, she knew that, but at this point she had learned to accept crazy as the order of the day and wasn't about to start complaining now. When the duo arrived, Seku looked flustered and frustrated in equal measure, while Alex was rubbing his sore arm and looking quite smug with himself, so Nalah had a guess as to how their elevator ride went.

"Ah yes, the SIA, pictures of professionalism." She teased as she joined the group in walking out the door.

"That we are....when we're not getting smashed at a Life Day party and hooking up with attractive strangers of the same sex," Seku replied with a wink, teasing Nalah right back. "Let's see if Alex can remember where he parked our ride last night, and we'll give you a lift Nalah."

"Don't need to remember, I can see the old girl from here," Alex said, pointing to where the YT-1300 was parked just down the street.

Kera stepped into the elevator with the stranger. Waited for the doors to close. “Whatever the Alliance thinks I did, they can’t prove it.” He said. “And even they could, I’m not a big enough fish to be worth the SIA’s time.” He turned to the stranger with whom he was sharing the elevator. He was thinking out loud while it was just the pair of them in the elevator. “My debt to the Hutt Cartels was cleared when they took my ship, so probably not them.” He paused trying to figure out who he could possibly owe money to. It was a long list. “Why don’t you just say who you are here to collect for, and how much I owe them?”

Dominik stayed silent, letting the Chiss figure it out. They neared the bottom floor after a couple of minutes and he said, "You don't owe anybody anything, far as I know. It's a simple job offer. Maybe you take another, or maybe it's one-and-done. But I don't have the details. I'll take you to who does. But no more talking until we get there, alright?" The agent gave a small smile before the doors opened up and he stepped outside, walking towards a two-person speeder.

Secrets. Kera understood the need for them. They kept him out of trouble with the authorities. Secrets also kept you from catching a blaster bolt to the back of the head at the end of a job. Know Inc. things can be dangerous, and you didn’t survive in this business by taking unnecessary risks.
That didn’t stop him from being curious though.

Kera nodded in agreement to stop talking. This didn’t feel like a situation where he could talk his way out of trouble. He wasn’t even sure he was in trouble.
Exiting the lift, he followed the agent to the speeder, making his way to the passenger side door.

Was...was Seku flirting back with her? That was the last thing Nalah expected from the Twi'Lek, who'd seemed more confused and slightly ashamed of last night than anything else, but the Zygerrian certainly wasn't going to complain. Seku was fairly pretty, and Nalah had never seduced an SIA agent before, that was probably a more useful contact than a petty diplomat from a backwater world.

"Well, you're not on the clock yet I assume..." She teased back as she followed Alex and Seku back to their freighter. "I'm at the level 112 landing platform."

"We're completely off the clock," Seku assured Nalah.

"Should I give you two some time alone," Alex asked Seku with a smirk.

"Ok, Wiseguy...what would you say if I said I'm starting to accept there's a side to me I didn't know existed until last night?"

"Uh..I totally didn't see that one coming," Alex answered, giving Seku a puzzled look. "Just a little while ago you were acting completely mortified and looking like you were waiting for the floor to open up and swallow you where you stood."

"I've had breakfast and a chance to process what happened."

"And?...."

"And I'm not as embarrassed as I was at first."

"Ok...this definitely rates a 10.0 on the Seku's Gone Crazy Meter," Alex said, shaking his head in astonishment as the trio continued towards where the freighter was waiting.

Nalah couldn't help but laugh as they walked down toward the freighter at the end of the street, listening to the conversation between the odd duo.

"Well, regardless of how crazy your friend is, I'm glad last night was so illuminating for you." She teased the Twi'lek as the reached the ship, giving her a quick bump with her hips. Having the attention of an SIA officer was normally the end of a smuggler's career, but Nalah could easily make use of this kind of attention. Plus, Seku was actually pretty easy on the eyes.

As they approached the ship, Alex searched in his pocket for a device about the same size as a comlink, and pressed a button. The boarding ramp lowered with a whir, and soft lighting illuminated the underside of the freighter.

"Welcome aboard the Shadow Runner. She doesn't have quite as interesting of a past as the Millennium Falcon, but the old girl's still seen her share of adventures from one side of the galaxy to the other."

"I wonder if that bounty hunter wannabe who was looking for you on Tatooine all those years ago ever figured out that it was you and the crazy old trader you call Malcolm who swiped the engines from his ship, and put them in Shadow Runner so you could get offworld?"

Alex grinned at the memory.

"I sure hope not!"

"Alex isn't as straight laced of a Jedi as he lets on," Seku whispered to Nalah as they boarded the freighter.

"Wait, you swiped someone's engines?" Nalah didn't generally have a high opinion of Corellian Engineering ships, but she had to admit the Shadow Runner did seem better put together than the average YT model. Of course, the story about stealing engines from a bounty hunter had the Zygerrian intrigued.

"Well, I think if we've learned anything today its that none of us are as straight as we appear." Nalah couldn't help but tease Seku, putting an arm over her shoulder as they boarded the ship.

"...wait, did you say Jedi?"

Alex StormWolf Alex StormWolf

"Yeah, Alex is a Jedi," Seku answered, as she settled into the co-pilot's seat aboard the Shadow Runner and started the freighter's engine warm up procedure. "But he's got a roguish streak in him that's at least a mile wide."

"Ok, so I don't always do everything 'by the book', is that a bad thing," Alex interjected as he took the pilot seat.

"Well, if there's anything I've learned since the first time I met you, it's to just toss 'the book' right out the window."

Nalah was glad to see the SIA agent and the Jedi Knight were having fun being cute and witty, because she was trying very hard to hide the fact that she was having a mild crisis. It was one thing for a government asset that had the hots for her to know what her ship was and what she likely did with it, but the concept of an agent and her Jedi friend knowing her ship codes got her hackles up.

"Let's just get to the spaceport shall we, I'm already-" Her comlink beeped, and she reached down reflexively to see that Teddy, her maintenance droid was calling.

"Hmm? Teddy, what's-" The string of Binary that followed was frantic, but Nalah got the gist of it, Coruscanti Customs was already trying to access the hangar, and Teddy was just barely keeping them out by slicing the door controls.

"...Oh kriff me sideways..."

Alex StormWolf Alex StormWolf

From the frantic tone of the droid beeps and Nalah's exclamation, Seku guessed the day was about to get a lot more complicated than a simple lift to retrieve her ship.

"I'm going to take a completely wild guess here and assume that Customs already located your ship."

Alex piloted the Shadow Runner into the constant stream of speeder and spaceship traffic that raced through the Coruscanti skyline, giving the level 112 landing platform a wide berth.

"Alex, we're headed the wrong way..."

"Yeah, I know. I'm not about to let your new gal friend get nabbed. Does anyone know of any sort of back entrance to the hangars?"

"Throwing the book right out the window?..."

"Totally," Alex answered.

"They aren't in the hangar, but they're getting close." Now matter how fast Alex flew up to the hangar, every second knowing Customs was very close to pinching her had the Zygerrian's anxiety up. Especially since, at this point, Teddy desperately trying to keep Coruscanti Customs out probably wouldn't look good in a court case. So when Alex actually flew wide around the hangar, Nalah had to resist the urge to jump up and grab the controls herself.

"A backdoor? No I don't...wait, there are service access paths for the hangars, if we get around back we can try breaking in through there." They would have to be fast, very fast, but it could be done.
