The Demon Within (complete)

Every drone that had been present on Coruscant Rianna used her skills to hack into. She had to dee the footage from the Sith Temple. Hours upon hours of footage had she watched she needed to see specific angles, the moments before the moments after.

Only through the understanding of what had happened would she be able to come to an understanding in her mind.

This one droid high above angled down recording the battle saw Ordo come in to the temple, saw him take the Dark Lord by the throat. Surreal as it had seemed every moment up until then the movements were all familiar tactics of her riduur anyone would be able to see that.

But it was here in watching this that the trained eye would see it she had rerun this portion twenty times doubting herself, questioning her motives, questioning the quality of the what was seen. She understood they most likely would think her a desperate wife. And they would be right to a degree. But they had to understand that a man like Ordo does not just turn into the Dark Lord of the Sith no matter what the reasoning was.

And she knew the entry how it could have happened. Alderaan their week there the expression of his fears of not being able to protect them, to failing, those thoughts had to linger.

But this man that Ordo killed as strong as he had been if she could get her hands on that body she believed she would find that it was dying as much as a dark energy could take control of a body it could not keep it from dying.

Ordo had come at the right time, his fear was the way he entered. She thought of what he had said when he came home from Coruscant, I did it for them. There needs to be peace. He worried for her safety. All of these words could have been whispered to his mind.

It was the only explanation she would have to convince the Mandalorian leadership, Gil, Azrael, Strider, Basaba that what she said was true.

But, how do you dislodge a possession. Rianna already had formed an idea on that too and it was dangerous, extremely. She would need to isolate herself to prepare, and even then it would be reliant upon them bringing Ordo home and restraining him.

She needed to meditate to look see if the force would show her a truth.

The quiet of the farmhouse filled her sinking to her knees her palms down she closed her eyes and turned to the force submersing herself she could feel how lifeless her body felt, so relaxed, her eyes closed as her head fell forward then the presence that slowly moved from the mists of the unknown walked forward to reach out.

"My padawan" the soft caring voice of Valera reached out.

Rianna looked up, "Master" she smiled, "I am so glad you came, I need help" Help more than help she needed understanding. "through the force you can see all my riduur I think he's trouble." Her face showed the great weight that she bore in trying to stay close to him, and fight all along to know what she could do to get the answers.

"I think he is possesed either with a dark corruption, or a spirit" Rianna shook her head, "Master I don't have any evidence except what I see with my eyes, and feel with my senses" Rianna turned her face to the ground not wanting her Master to see her emotions.

"Rianna" walking closer and wishing for a moment she could touch the woman before her to give her the comfort she needed. "You're mind must be clear of these strong emotions in order to see what is before you" Rianna nodded, Valera was right.

Valera could still see it in her students face, "Rianna fear leads to the dark side, you must face and let go of your fears if you are to help him in any way"

Rianna still kneeling there nodded, "But how do I remove it, I can remove a dark corruption the thick blackness of the dark, but a spirit Master"

Valera put up her hand a motion to stop. Rianna stopped midword, "yes Master"

"Put aside your fears and draw it out, and then it can be destroyed" She smiled a small knowing smile and then began to retreat

"Valera." Rianna bit her lip and remembered now was the time to take her emotions an accept them make it part of her and find the problem.

Rianna nodded, "I have only done this once before. It is a process which" Rianna looked down almost ashamed by the results, "can kill" Was it so long ago that something had invaded the mind of a young girl from Tattooine, from a small enclave of workers.

How she had been introduced to this baffled Rianna even still, but the choice that had been made had removed the spirit but the spirit had also taken the girls life. It had laughed at them all as it disappeared into oblivion.

"It was a long time ago Rianna, your skills have grown since then. You can do this"

Rianna looked up, her dark eyes filled with tears a single blink and they would fall to her cheeks, "Master it is Jas'ika this time, to lose him"

Valera grew concerned seeing how upset Rianna had become, "Rianna you cannot do this if you are not balanced. You put not only his life in danger but your own" Valera's voice had gone up indicating the seriousness of this undertaking and the consequences.

Valera kneeled before Rianna, "Rianna close your eyes"

Rianna needed little prodding to do so she wanted not to have to think the what ifs. She drew a long breath trying to quiet herself her fears.

"Picture your riduur"

A calm reached Rianna as she looked inwards seeing Jasper, his strength his presence.

"Your fear is that he will die"

Rianna shook her head "Yes master it is" She could already feel her emotions building the tightness in her chest the need to cry out in agony over the thought.

Valera placed a ghostly hand over Rianna's head, "Remember your training from when you were very young" Valera tried to get Rianna to remember. "what are all jedi taught about the force?"

Rianna's breathing became softer, controlled. "The living force which binds us all together touches us all, affects us all. It is a circle of life that must have a beginning and an end" Rianna shook her head gently.

"Yess Rianna. Even if your riduur died you would join him again one day see him one day just as you see me" Valera wished she could stroke Rianna's hair as she had once done but in this form nothing but her instruction could be given. "hold onto that, reach for the force have it calm you let it wash over you let all doubt slip away" Valera's voice was soothing, a comfort to the Jedi Master.

"Yes Master, I remember those lessons it feels so long ago, back when things seemed so much easier" Rianna's own voice was now following Valera's the calm of the force, the knowledge of knowing death was not the end. The comfort that was such an old friend that had guided her life for so long soon began to bubble up and take away the doubt.

A soft smile, and then Valera vanished her task complete.

Rianna remained on her knees meditating repeating the mantra that had guided her life, and holding tight to her connection to the force. Taking another single deep breath, Rianna opened her eyes.

She knew what to do, and now it was time to talk to the mandalorians whether they would listen or not. She knew she had to.
