Rafeesh nodded as he moved forward, pulling his blade from its place on his back. He walked slowly into the room, trying to stretch out his senses to feel the world around him. There was definitely something dark here. "Do you feel this as being familiar? Like you've seen it before?"

He just couldn't shake that feeling that this was all so similar to something. He couldn't recall what, but there was almost a sense of deja vu. He looked around as he looked for enemies. He didn't see any immediately and turned to the computers. They looked damaged to some degree, though with his expertise in that are the computers could have been completely operational and he wouldn't have known. He just hadn't learned much about computers.

[Post=2/20]

A shriek carried from the area beyond the seam and pierced the tension, a prolonged wail of hate only partially human. Its pure, unadulterated rage staggered her. She took a half-step back, her hand moving subconsciously to the hilt of his lightsaber. Adrenaline flooded her, turned her senses hyperacute. So she slowed her breathing on purpose, se called on the Force.

The shriek diminished to a savage growl, but she heard the cunning in it. A huge boom sounded from within the chamber, another. Footsteps? Some kind of locomotion, surely. Whatever horror lurked in the chamber was coming toward her.

She fell into the Force and it told her she didn’t need her saber yet.

"Corvus," said a voice from behind her, a voice that sunk a fishhook into her memory and started reeling recollections to the surface of her consciousness. She turned, saw furtive figures emerge from the shadows. Had they been following her? How had she missed them?

She recognised them, one with his arm around the throat of the other, but for some reason, her mind did not put a name to them right away.

"I know you," she said. Calmly. Her voice barely above a whisper but it echoed down the tunnel.

And all at once memories flooded her.

One of the figures held something in his off hand, a lightsaber hilt. He ignited it and a red line split the darkness.

The lights turned on as they entered the office. Power was still functioning it seemed.

Further inside a main control panel lit up, streams of information about the mining tunnels appeared.

Raising his eyebrow Mantic stepped closer and leaned in.

"Yes, there is something here that feels familiar." he murmured in response to [member="Rafeesh"]
"Odd, that you feel it too. What can tie our threads together like this?" the thought was spoken aloud, and given [member="Rafeesh"] ancient background Mantic had a hard time figuring this out.
But the force was a vast and complex matter. He knew that his padawan would have questions, and he needed to help him understand.

"Imagine the force as a great web, with different threads running from one end of the galaxy to the other. Sometimes the threads intertwine, sometimes merely brushing each other. It is dangerous to make assumptions about why they do so. We must collect more facts befo..." his short lecture was interrupted as their com flashed to life. Republic troopers reported gun fire in the mining tunnels.

"I guess we will have to talk more later. You should head down the mines. See if your feeling remain the same and report to me once you got your bearing on what is going on. Take your com with you and be careful. I will follow as soon as I have checked the main frame on anything that stands out."

"And may the force be with you.
" Mantic instructed.
His voice had returned to normal efficiency, something that reflected on his ability to be in the present when something needed him to focus. His fingers started to work the computer.

With an empty magazine plopping to the ground, Oddball slammed a fresh magazine into the weapon as he walked along the tunnels with his brother.

"Where you from soldier?" Oddball asked as he pushed the bolt forward and chambered a round.

"I knew every one of my brothers from the confederacy, you ain't one of them." Oddball whilst he loaded more explosive shotgun shells into the bottom launcher.

Small talk sometimes helped during a mission, and this could be the only time the clone could ask. What with different factions, battalions, and the fact that the entire planet seemed off and could likely be their doom, now was as good a time as any.

Once his weapon was replenished the clone snapped it up and the two proceeded deeper into the tunnels. The Sith didn't seem to have a lord or knight with them, they were often more coordinated when one was with them. More willing to not get their heads cut off, this meant that the majority of the Sith were probably either deeper bellow ground or elsewhere on the planet. Either way it meant that the two clones could wreck the Sith troopers in this CQC where numbers meant next to nothing. So the clones would move down the spooky tunnel to whatever it was that came next

The second wave came siphoned and controlled, directed to the palm of his hand and burning the skin upon impact. The massive surge and corruption of darkside energy was undeniable, it was a process that nothing could have prepared him for... something had to give. His eyes glared in amber flame as he continued to recite the ancient words, power coursing withing him as sith runes and symbols scorched against the walls glowed. He began to feel something growing in his hand yet he did not let any distraction break his focus on the task he was undertaking.

Hand gestures well rehearsed accompanied the next portion of the ritual, dark sith magic enveloping the room and using the runes upon the stone borrow life and force energy agonizingly from life around the planet. Twisting nature and corrupting it's existance slowly the small shard upon his palm began to grow from the borrowed power. Entranced upon the ritual he ignored all headings of collapse and falling stone that splashed magma and obliterated granite to dust upon impact left and right.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Bastions spotted what they looked for and soon the assassin droids made their way to a small outcropped mining office far from the entrance of the black hole that was the inner mines however their advanced sensory systems made it an advantage for them beyond what normal organics were capable of, this was factored in when they entered the assault.

They crashed through the windows, a score of them at least, two teams of three rapidly taking out the lights and pouncing on their pray imitating various different styles of lightsaber combat with cortosis blades. They rushed the jedi Master ([member="Mantic Dorn"]) in a three flanked maneuver striking at the same time with each having an amazing speed for a droid. The apprentice ([member="Rafeesh"]), just leaving would be cornered from both sides by the machines while one attempted to come down in a Juyo dive.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Jar'Kai had orders, stay back and protect the chamber core, however a single member of the Sentinel division of the Jar 'Kai had set up scout down in the mining perimeter and had been hearing the blaster fire from a distant chamber so he used his training to get a vantage point and set up a watch. It wasn't long before the scope of his rifle caught the distant image of the squad lead by [member="Oddball"] and [member="Krenis Skirata"] and he adjusted he sights. He smiled as they came closer...yet his target was not them. His scope fixed on the familiar sight of a rather annoying lizard, the accuracy of the Jar'Kai was not stellar, but the Sentinel division was well armed and trained solely with a single rifle. He waited... patiently for the right show, angled awkwardly against the stone hidden by the shadows of the walls... Once he got his clear shot, he fired.

His boots crunched against the rock, slowly and steadily, studying the environment, poised to react instantly to whatever happened. These underground battles were the worst. Always so tight and no way to maneuver. That was what let two soldiers slaughter two squads of Sith soldiers without a problem. Everyone was stuck, fishlike, in a network of barrels. It had been quiet now, perhaps even two quiet, given the blaster fire echoing from distant hallways.

Then came the question and the comment about the Confederacy. He hesitated for a brief moment, trying to connect those dots. The Confederacy... had Fett clones? Where had they gotten them and why had they betrayed the Republic? Then it clicked again. Eight hundred years or so. Plenty of time for a different Confederacy to develop and steal the Fett genome one way or another. But was it wise to answer? Could the colonel be trusted? That was an odd question, Krenis had to admit, since they shared the same face, minus Krenis' scar.

"Kamino," He said at last, "About eight hundred years ago. No idea which confederacy you mean. The Confederacy I knew certainly didn't have any."

He ducked into an alcove, pushing Oddball towards the other side of the tunnel as something moved through the air high speeds. Not a blaster bolt. Some sort of quiet slugthrower then, likely from a single sniper, since there was no incoming barrage. Interesting. That was very different from standard Sith tactics.

The round slammed into the Spaarti Creations nutrient pack and it caused the clone to stumble forward, however this wasn't a some piece of crap nutrient frame, this was Durasteel. The round caught on the thick plate and the rubber beneath that helped to disperse the shockwave, the Ysalamir beneath was quite alive and still kicking.

"Sniper! Twelve o'clock!!" Oddball said as he reached into his pack

How a sniper could shoot that accurately in a tunnel system was beyond oddball but the muzzle flash had given the man's position away. So commandos doing what commandos did it was time to take out the enemy. With the clone's visor switching the visor to infrared the man regained his footing and marked his target on the HUD in a low kneeling position and ripped the explosive rounds down range. Close range combat in tunnels were terrible for snipers because of one large factor, there was nowhere to run. You couldn't relocate to a new shooting position because you were boxed in, and with these factors playing in the sentinel Jar'Kai wouldn't be seeing their family again due to a case of death via 24mm round to the brain.

"Idiot tried to hit my pack, why I have no idea." Oddball said as he stood up.

"800 years you say?" He said casually.

To say a droid couldn't harbour feelings, were often negated by the connection one could establish for a sentinent being. In the case of Arsix, the bout of depression (normally associated with the living) that the little astromech unit was suffering with, would be considered ludicrous to most, other than to those who were closest to him; and in this case, the only two beings he knew well enough were a long, long way from Donovia.

He missed the Sochi Ru. He had become very fond of the ship, which had been modified to accomodate him in the first place; and the memory units between him and the Sochi Ru had almost become identicle, such was the bond that they now shared. He had made sure to requisition with the Jedi- mostly initiates or Padawan learners from the Jedi Starfighter Corps- that the Sochi Ru was not to be taken by another Knight or Master, to serve in their escapades in the Galaxy. This seemed strange, considering that the Jedi taught their own not to harbour any attachments or ownership of things such as starfighter in question, but Arsix was not a Jedi and his master wasn't here to tell him otherwise.

A soft moan escaped the astromech, just as he rolled into the bay. Jedi Knight Ella Nova had gone missing, following the Battle of Balmorra. She seemed distant, during the journey back to Republic space. Almost like she had reverted back to the way she had been, during the earlier years of her recovery, following the Battle of Coruscant. Arsix had searched the databases, but nothing was on file; and the High Council seemed preoccupied, no doubt due to the on going war with the One Sith. After all, Ella wasn't the only Jedi that had gone missing, since the One Sith had revealed themselves eight years ago.

The hangar bay was littered with droids, engineers and pilots. Rolling over to the nearest pannel, Arsix jacked in to check for orders. Repaired were required a fighter. He accepted the order, removed his jack and rolled across, setting to work.

The power coupling to the fighter, that Arisix was working on, had become dislodged in the fighting that was happening around the vessel he was aboard. As he worked on resetting the coupling back into place, which would restore power back to the fighters navigational system, the hangar bay shook as nearby fighters took off to rejoin the fight, with fuel and repairs being supplied after their previous engagements. Indeed, the fight for Donovia was in full swing.

Inserting the coupling back inside, Arsix worked on melding the wires back in. A soft whir emitted from inside, telling him that power had been restored. "Thanks, little guy," said the pilot, leaning over his cabin to give the thumbs up. Waabpaido! replied the astromech, unused to that kind of treatment other than from Ella. A soft moan came next, as he thought back to her.

Rolling away from the fighter, Arsix moved back to the jack, to check in for another task. The nearby recycle assembly was showing errors. Normally an automated system, used to recycle junk and cipher out rubbish, which would be jettisoned into space, was causing problem for maintance, who were already having problems, given the battle waging outside.

Accepting the task, Arsix rolled out of the hangar bay and begun his descent down into the depths of the Star Destroyer, to fix the problem.

The hallways were packed, with servicemen and crew moving about to complete their own assignments. As Arsix rolled by, he caught the glimpse of a transport coming in to the hangar bay, with what appeared to be wounded on board. Another soft moan came out of the astromech. He would never fathom why anyone would want to hurt anyone. Especially his own Jedi.

Beeps followed, alerting those ahead that he was coming through. Occasionally, someone would bump in, in which he would blow a raspberry in their direction. He was small, but not that small. Eventually, he reached the maintance hatch, which carried droids down to the area he wanted to go. Rolling in, he jacked in to command the computer to send him down. The computer compiled, albeit in Arsix's opinion, a little angrily. He could only assume that it was due to the battle. Must be pretty bad out there, to be affecting his kind.

The hatch reopened, revealing a darkened area. Arsix activated his flash light, scanning the region. Using it as his guided, he rolled out of the hatch and into the room. It was very quiet down here, which was strange, considering the nearby machines were meant to be working out what parts could be salvaged for recyling and what would be sent down for rubbish. Wabapaido? he called out. But no response came.

Suddenly, he felt very alone.

Rolling along the corridors, Arsix continued his scan, using his flashlight to light the way. The machine were still. Frozen was better to describe them, like they had stopped doing what they had been doing midway through their designated function. He didn't like this. He would have turned away, but that would result in questions. Sentinents were quick to determine that his kind were malfunctioning, if they didn't do as they were told; and Ella wasn't here to defend him. The thought of a memory wipe made Arsix all the more fearful, than the darkened horrors that were down here.

Perhaps it was his mind playing tricks. Stopping at the nearby wall, his flashlight shone over a nearby terminal. He extended his jack, plugging back in. Attempting to connect to the computer, he was met by a firewall blocking him. When he tried to bypass it, he was asked for a password. Trying to explain that he didn't have one, he was told- quite rudely- that he shouldn't be down here and should return back upstairs. When he told whatever it was that was blocking him that he couldn't, it stopped responding. After several more attempts, he gave up.

Removing his jack, perplexed that another device or droid- possibly a sentinent- was stopping him from getting the automated rycling system back online, Arsix rolled forward to look for the source. They had to be here down with him. A loud moan came out of the little droid, at the prospect of facing whatever it was alone.

Rafeesh was listening intently when Manitc was interrupted. "May it be with us all." He replied to the old saying. Right before the droids came through the windows. He was about to leave when two droids kept him trapped between him while a third attempted a downward slash. Rafeesh was not completely prepared, he only had enough time to bring his saber up in a defensive position before extending his hand calling on the Force to give him space from this enemy. He could feel it channel through him, not incredibly strong but enough to throw the droid that tried to cut him back a good two meters.

His hand came back down as both of the droids moved to smash him with their own blades. He was willing to bet that they had lightsaber resistant metals in those blades. It would have been foolish to send sword wielding droids into a fight against lightsabers without blades that could withstand them. He brought his saber around to slice on in half, but instead the sword moved between his training saber and the droid. It was only a moment until he stepped backwards back into the room. "Timing is everything eh? Guess we needed the Force now." Was all he said before he had to focus as the droids came at him again.

A window of information started to trail down the main monitor in front of Mantic. He was not computer savy and needed time to do this. But he had figured that he would fare better then his padawan who still struggled with adjusting to "modern days" as it was.

Just before the droids crashed through the window Mantic lifted his head. A danger sense tingling along his spine.

"No.. what..." was al he managed as he reached a hand toward [member="Rafeesh"] trying to warn him. But alas, it was to late. the droids moved in with incredible speed and although Mantic managed to bring up hjis saber the attacks had him hard pressed.
Waving his saber to parry the incoming attacks he was forced into a defensive position for a time. He was managing and started to map down the droids aptterns for a counter offensive. But he still needed the time to get there properly leaving his padawan fending on his own for the time being.

Another shriek sounded from the chamber behind her. The lights in the wall flared to life in response, brighter than before, and she at last recognised them for what they were — veins coursing with Dark-side energy.

She had somehow walked into the belly of a beast.

Another shriek shook the walls.

The sizzle of igniting lightsabers sounded from behind her and instinct took over. She rolled to her left, bounded to her feet, took her own blade in hand, and ignited it. The violet line sparked and hissed.

She faced three Sith. One stood slightly in front. Two reddish-orange blades jutting from the hilts he held in both fists as he snarled.

"It always had to end this way, Jedi. You aren't one of us."

The Sith snarled and lunged forward with blades low. She bounded back, slapped both blades aside with her own lightsaber, and raised her blade for a killing strike. Before she did, the Sith’s roar of rage turned to a groan of pain and he fell to the floor, grasping his head, writhing, screaming. His blades deactivated and his flesh crawled, bulged, rippled.

She stood over him, blade in hand. It would be so easy to cut him down, so easy. Instead she lowered her saber.

Arsix crept forward. He wasn't built for combat. The best he had was a stun baton, that could eletricute another droid or sentient, if he got close enough. He moaned very softly, body jerking and shaking little by little the further he went down the hallway. Suddenly, the lights came on and a shirek emitted from the little droid, as the machines nearby went back to work. A sentinent- an Human male- climbed over the railing and landed on the ramp.

"What are you doing down here?" he asked Arsix. The droid detected a hint of surprise in the sentinents voice. For some reason he was nervous.

Wabapaiado? responded Arsix.

"Come again? You know what, nevermind. Areas been fixed, return from where you came from."

Beep. Raspberry.

Turning around, Arsix returned to the hatch that had taken him down here moments before. Jacking back in, the computer angrily asked why he was returning back so soon. When the droid explained that a sentinent had already fixed the recyling automated system, the computer complained about lack of communication between Arsix and the sentinents on board, to which the little droid blew it a loud raspberry, as he was carried back up to the upper levels.

As Arsix emerged from the hatch, intent to return to the hangar bay, an explosion richoetted off the hull of the Star Destroyer he was aboard. Nearby sentinents fell over, tripping over each other or merely knocked over by the blast. Sirens blared over head, with one of the crew shoutting, "We have a hull breach! Everyone evacuated this area immediately!"

He didn't need to be told twice. Excelerating his systems, Arsix bolted it down the hallway, weaving in between frantic sentinents, who were piling for the nearby lifts. For the little droid, he had a much more easier and less cramped way to make it back to the hangar bay. Another service hatch, which would take him straight up to the hangar bay, was nearby the turbolifts.

Bolting it harder than he anticipated, the droid knocked into a wall and almost fell over. Shaking his head, he turned and made his way slower down the hallway this time. After all, he didn't want to get damaged.

Arsix wasn't the only droid, who had decided to take the same route. The hatch was being piled upon by droids, who had all congregated to make their way to the hangar bay. A series of bleeps and nearest equalivant to swears in Aurebesh, were being thrown at each other. Protocol droids had also covened, attempting to settle down the little astromechs that were fighting each other for room.

The computer had had enough. The hatch had been sealed, and despite a nearby R2 unit attempting to reason with the machine, it was having none of it. Arsix thought that the computer must be malfunctioning or something along those lines. Turning his gaze away from the droid mob, Arsix realized that the turbolifts were also not working. Unlike the disorderly droids, the sentinents had settled down to listen to a superior. Judging by his uniform, Arsix deduced that the man was a Colonel, based on his memory circuits.

Beep, sighed the little astromech. Behind them, the blast doors had been closed, to stop atmosphere being vented out through the breach in the ship. Who or what had hit the Star Destroyer must have packed a punch, he decided.

Objective E

Arsix crept forward into the droid mob, bleeping his way past, towards the front. Communicating with the R2 unit, he convinced the astromech to let him try and communicate with the computer. Unlike the other series around them, like the untrustworhy R8s- who were being a right nuisance- the R2 relented, agreeing to let someone else have a go.

Thanking the R2, Arsix jacked in and brought up the computer. He was given a message:

//Priority shut down of level 8-B, due to hull breach.

Shut down activated. Unable to respond.\\

Arsix bleeped angrily. The nearby R2 agreed with him.

Objective E

9/20

Arsix responded to the computer.

//Area has been sealed. Breach has been contained.\ \

To which the computer replied.

//Negative. Breach uncontained. Area unsealed.\\

"That Arsix unit hasn't got a clue what he is doing!" proclaimed a nearby C3 protocol unit. "Someone move him out of the way. The R2 series are much more reliable!"

A series of beeps echoed, each agreeing with the C3. Arsix blew the loudest raspberry he had ever mustered at all of them, before turning back to the computer. Slicing in, Arsix entered:

//Dox-trace-89#90. Breach contained. Area sealed. Remove priority shut down.\\

//Affirmative. Breach contained. Area sealed. Priority shut down lifted.\\

The hatch unsealed, along with the turbolasers being reactivated. Turning his gaze to the C3, he blew him another raspberry before rolling inside, where he was taken back up to the hangar bay, with the mixture of applause coming from the droid mob and sentinent crew.

Objective E

10/20

As Arsix was being brought up to the hangar bay, he jacked back in with the computer, to check for what had caused the breach in the first place.

//Explosion in recycling plant. Catastrophic damage. Atmosphere vented. Dang-\\

Removing his jack, Arsix shireked. He had just been down there. He would surely get the blame for this. The memory wipe would be assured and he wouldn't be able to find his Jedi ever again. As the hatch opened, Arsix bolted out and into a nearby corner, where he shut off his systems, hiding.

Minutes passed, with crew pouring out of the turbolifts he had just reactivating, with more droids appearing from the same maintance hatch he just used to arrive in the hangar bay. As he thought about it, he remembered the man that he had encountered down there. Spotting the nearby C3 unit he had swore at earlier, Arsix reactivated his systems. He needed to let one of the sentinents know what he had found.
