Private The Doom

Teristis arrived on the planet Kesh, always searching for artifacts. His ship descended on part of the world that was a great city, oart of it falling into a crevasse. He set yhe ship down on a plateform overlooking some towering structures that were falling. This dire Necropolis certainly held some secrets. Taking a line conmected to yhe nose of his ship he lespt down ijto shadow, all aboit him towers jutted out like teeth, as if the planet had become a Sarlaac. The descent was long and deep, he dangled in shadow and turned on his head lamp. There was below metal structures, he loosed the lije and dropped to his feet with a thud which echoed. As he rose up he saw how massive the structure was, as if a great cave system had been in cased with metal chormium. This was not anything on the records of the planet, which suggested that either no one knew or was well hidden from the surface dwellers. Theristis found himself walking on a great bridge that was lead over an abyss, and above was light shining from an opening above. He came to the end of the bridge and saw what appeared to be sarcphogus. Two were broken, one was sealed and runic words that he tried to translate with his language software, the inscription reading “The Doom.”
Hs placed his hand on a glowing stone of white on a effigy, it fought him so he took a knife and tried to pry it out, at this friction the stone descended inside and the sarcophagus began to open, there was a layer of mist that cleared tp reveal silver looking armor, and robes, with a white mask. He lifted up the helm and looked through great eye holes as he noticed yye mist evelopinf him and suddenly a white light flew out and swirling struck him, making the Raider fall on his back, the mask flying into air and landing on his face. It began to latch on his skin as he tried to sceam, but the sound muffled, he could see through the eye holes a horrofying beam of pale light with fangs and horns, it reached down at his eyes as he shook violently and then he blacked out.

Theristis awoke with the mask fixed ro his face. His breathing began to accelerate as he tried to pull it off, he felt his face tearing, when a voice shook him from within,
“Enough!”
Theristis let go as he looked aboit to see from where the voice came.
“Here.. I am here..”
looking into a puddle he saw his eyes aglow,
“At last someone heard The Call.. at last I am free!”
Theristis placed his gloved fingers near the waters.
“How.. what is happening?!”
The Voice made ripples in the water,
“You broke the seal.. and now.. you are my vessel.”
Theristis raised his hands to try and rdmove the madk, trying to rip ot off and it constricyed harsee.
“Enough! You cannot take it off! Take if off and we both die.”
Theristis began to hyperventilate, his increased breathing causing him fall down.
“Calm.. calm yourself.. this will pass..”
Theristis coughed, white fluid through vertical serpentine mouth holes.
“That is it.. breath.. you are no good to me dead.”
Theristis coughed some more, and replied,
“What are you?”
The voice shook everything again,
“Doom..”
Theristis sat up with crossed legs.
“I do not understand..”
Doom echoed its voice in his head,
“You came here curious about The Doomed did you not?”
Theristis coughed some more,
“They were a cult not a..”
Doom finished his sentence, “An entity? Yes those misguided fools destroyed themselves because they clung to those sensibilities of their former orders despite their creed. They failed to embrace the reality of The Force..”
Theristis chimed, “Which is?”
Doom chuckled, “Doom.. it is the secret to oblivion. Look at the wars it has created, bloodshed for eons across the stars..”
Theristis pivoted a question, “What is your purpose then?”
Doom became less sharp in tone and almost pleasent in his head,
“I am glad you asked…”

The Doom walked across a bridge that was firged of solid white stone, coming to what appeared to be a precipices rising out of the waters deep below, The Masked Death stood as they natural obelisks of white monoliths rose like teeth.

“Beneath is the first of your fleet.. The Harbinger!”

Raising his hands, Theristis called to the craft below. The pillars of stone began to shake, some of them began to fall as the nose emerged, it was greater the towers of the Jedi Temple of Coruscant in height. The entire underground began to collapse as rubble and dust fell like rain. Steppinf out on to the nose, The Doom entered into Venator and the engines prined, great thrusters of blue hot fire the size of smaller moons began to blow away the bridge and sarcophagi. The Star Destroyer made its way to the surface, bolts of turquiose blasting a path to the surface as turbollasers carved like spades. At last the nose breached the surfsce, a great crsfor forming that pulled in trees, and boulders like a Sarlaac pit.

Slowly the Harbinger inched higher and higher till it finally was airborne, and inside The Doom sat in his dark gray throne.

“Behold I rise, like a tide to wash away the stars.. all will know ‘death, Doom, and despair.”

The Venator Class Ship sailed out into boack shoals of the galaxy, on screen Theristis set coordinates for The Unknown Regions, there he wouid begin the campaign, there Doom would fall on the worlds not in purview of The Galatic Alliance or any of the other tribes grasping for power.. such fools, “There is only Death..”

The Harbinger came out of hyperspace in a system of uncharted worlds, one had many rings, the other was habitable, a prime candidate for the threshing. The Venator Class Destroyer descended into atmopshere, surging on the clouds it held and made scans of the surface. Below was beehive shaped cities with glowing lights inside the holes, figures in shape of insecti moved about. Many of them flew about, some rising into air with theur foyr wings to see this strange metal behemoth in the sky. They were premitived, homding spears and projective weapons that connected to their throats that vented some kind of acid. They did not assail the barrier, the shield that hummed.

Locking on to these pitiful bugs, the turbolasers fired and turned them into splotches of green rain that fell down to the surface, bathing their neigjbors in their guts before.. the canons began to drop great boltd on the city, the blue fire fell as drops on the beehives which went ablaze. The Insectiods in vain fires streams from their battlements, only for the blue rain to blow them away in balls of yellow and clouds of smoke.

Carvans of the Creepy Crawling Beingd made their away from the destruction, theu headed for the swamps to seek refuge, when a shadow of a shuttle flew over them and made its way to the knee high green waters. It sat down, and a ramp slammed into the stagnate water as a figure descended in armor, his eyes glowed white and fixed on the waves of Ants coming to the slaughter.

Theristis stood in water, hunching over, as the defenders spproached with their throat acid and spears, he snapped his saber to life, the long blade rose in distorted white, with two smaller ones coming from vents above his thumb and index finger as he gripped the handle.

One of Bugs thrusted a spear with a stinger on it, Doom cut it in two and then slashed at the throat, making its oval jade head with six lavander purple eyes. Two others fired their acid, which soared in streams over him on a tree that smoldered. Reaching out with his hand he levitated one ans brough it to his blade, it cutting through the chest as he then tossed it off like a discarded cape. The other Streamer fired a continuous stream that Theristis had to evade, it burnrr s tree nad made it cap side, the rootd rising out of the waters, the Bug looked for hum and suddenly he lespt from above and split the Insectiod from head to knave, making it part in the middle.

The Carvan of Survivors was behind this vanguard. Approaching from the side, Doom brandished his crackling crossguard blade and met two Spear totting warriors, he split them both with one cut in a horizontal cut, when he noticed all of them were male. Seeing on a hill a large yellow slug like creature, and dozens of the Insectiods trying to help it up the slope, Theristis made his way there, seeeping his blade to carve head and clip wings. Some with some enguiniety, hovered and tried to drop acid on him. Using the trees Doom, heard the wood crack and buckle, it falling. He admired how they fought exstinction, with every breath they believed in vain they could cheat death. Tiring of their bile flame, he ran as the streams crissed and crossed, and looper around him, causing the water to stream till he was on the hill, Stinger Spearmen thrusted their weapons that he met with white hot kyber. He stated in throng of their thoraxes, theu gave him a shield from the aerial bombardment.

Theristis drove the tip of his weapons in one Insectiod, and then twisted, using the vent blade to stab a head as he pulled another to him with the Force. It began to appear he was sinking beneath exoskeletal skin, and his white eyes disappeared. The hovering bugs waited, and waited, when suddenly spears flew into sir snd stuck them like many arrows and they fell to the ground. The Golden Slug was being pushed by these Bugs, who now had dwindled to twenty, one cried out as it head was cut clean off as Theristis moved towards their Queen. Each held spears, some had winged blades that when they flew would rapidy move like saws. They all charged their Doom…

Aboard the Harbinger, the door to bridge opened to a Theristis who was painted in green blood on his plate, his mask had drops staining it. Pressing some keys on the arm chair as he sat, the turbo canons dropped more turquoise on balls of flame on the trees of the swamp and the hill. The planet was in flames, the primitive civilization wiped out.

Doom sat content as his black cape drapped hus death throne. His eyes squinting as he saw a haze, like smoke coming towards the craft. It was a swarm of them, a last stand. Hitting the thrusters Theristis watched as the view screen met The swarm, causing the screen to fill with peridot blood, the Venator Class destroyer mowed down the swarm, many that were not squashed, bounced off and fell hitting the waters below. The Doom had enjoyed the slaughter, his soul filled by all this death.

Then it happened, an alarm went off indicating a breach. That one of those bugs had gotten on board. Pressing s key, he opened doors, and welcomed it in, there enthroned he waited, he heard the hum of those wings, and then the patter of insect feet. Hanging above him the Insectiod dropped with its sickle like blade which he caught with her gauntlet hand.

“Impressive..”

He then see the crescent blade like a handle and threw the Avenger to the floor.

“You have spirit.. though it is in vain. There is no escape from death.. you can prolong the journey.. try at immortality, but inevitably the grave calls you.”

He levitated The Insectiod to his gauntlet hand which he placed around its neck. As he pulled the lavander eyes creature to his face he heard a buzz, like static and then clicks which began to make tones that spelled words in his mind.

“You.. took.. all.. I.. must.. fight.”

Theristis bled through as Doom was overruled, him loosening his grip.

“Your intelligent..”

The Insectiod made clicks,
“My…family…gone…fault..yours…die.”

The Insect took up his sickle blade and leapt with his wing blades, which was magnificent display of mayhem, as the movement of them was like a gear with teeth. Theristis held him at bay with The Force, and then threw it into axpanel, knocking the Bug cold.

Doom interjected,
“Finish it..”

Theristis took up his crossguard hilt and prepared to ignite it when he threw it to his chair.

“No… he must live.”
