The message that popped up on all corporate channels was a strange one, unencrypted and open to anyone who had a mind to read it, upon opening the message a bold symbol appears on your monitor, rotating on the screen with a message underneath, an invitation reading:

rnQmeJ4.png

"Greetings. Thank you for giving me your time and energy to read this message and see what I have to say. My name is Dresden M'koor, and I have recently started an organization called the Galactic Trade Coalition. What is the G.T.C.? You may ask, well let me answer you in person. I am inviting all who seek power, prestige, and most of all.. wealth, to come join me at the New Techno Union Headquarters on Coruscant. Upon accepting the invitation coordinates will be sent to the New Techno Union's headquarters, and specific landing pads where your shuttles may land, my B9 battle droids will escort you to the conference room from the landing pads, and I will greet you all in person. So, to all those who wish for the finer things in life.. I'll see you at the conference."

Upon your arrival to Coruscant B9 battle droids are waiting in groups of two as predicted, and with each individual who came to them and asked to be led to the conference hall/HQ, two would escort them to the HQ, a towering building within the high rises of Coruscant. They would stride through the lobby and towards on of many elevators in the back of the room which is occupied dominantly by a live R.C.A.P. on a pedestal, which fidgets here and there with inactivity. The elevators aren't small, but they definitely aren't spacious, able to house as much as 10 individuals comfortably at a time, and upon entering these elevators, they would take the individuals to the conference room.

The room is high-tech, but small. Able to seat around 12 people comfortably at the table, but extra chairs have been brought out and line the walls for any extras that may arrive. Dresden himself stands behind the chair on the far end of the table and room, grinning quietly and smugly as he looks around the room, giving a small half bow to each person who enters, behind him is a B9, who is currently holding Dresden's coat and cane.

Dear Dresden,

Thank you for the invitiation. It will be a pleasure to meet you in person,

-Natalie LaForte.

//// IMF.COM ////

Usually everything was moved to her junk folder, but the droid that was in-charge of managing such menial tasks had malfunctioned and the process was being done manually. Partnering up with intergalactic business conglomerates to further her own goals was an everyday occurrence, and today was no exception. The lights in her office flickered down and she made headway for her shuttle on Mygeeto.

The only reason she accepted the invitation was because a familiar name came to mind - The Techno Union. Not something she had heard about in decades, considering they had recently been declared bankrupt. Hopefully the new Executive would be managing it better than previously.

Coruscant. Again. Sure, the appeal of a big city with thousands of customers would attract some, but per person on this planet it had the highest crimes occurring per day. Not a fashionable place to be. Although the Galactic Alliance sure scrubbed the place up well after the occupation of the Sith Empire, it had not returned to its former glory. At least not yet. Regardless, Natalie was glad that she had stayed in the shuttle to protect her from the harsh environment of the bustling city.

When the shuttle finally descended and she stepped out with her sister, Carina, and the battle droids escorted them to the meeting room just as explained in the e-mail.

"I am assuming that you are Dresden? I'm Natalie LaForte, Executive of IMF."

One of the ships who arrived in the orbit of Coruscant was a sleek black corvette, speckled like the abyss of the deep space dotted only by distant starlight. There were no visible sigils or markings on the hull of the corvette although the ship sent out a transmission to the Galactic Alliance Defense Forces, clearing itself with identification from Abregado government, one of the nearby allied planets. The corvette slowed down, falling into position in the planet's orbit as another ship launched out from its underbelly, smaller although just as dark and sleek in appearance.

The stealth shuttle pushed its way through the void towards the city-planet, soon enough piercing the atmosphere and descending down through Coruscant's greying skies towards one of the many high rise district where the meeting was to take place. There the transport found the designated landing pad and finally touched down, its crow-like silhouette stopping on the metal basin with a cold low hiss of its thrusters cooling off. A ramp extended out and the airlock door opened, allowing three armored figures to walk off. All three were covered in some sort of organic black flesh-like layer with chitinous and fibrous plates arranged in layer of armor, what distinguished them apart was that one wore a black cloak, the other two wore grey, they came in armed, to a degree at least, bringing only ceremonial weaponry, holstered pistols on their sides, and a couple of hilts, some were rather obviously lightsabers, others were much more elongated and pointed.

HK and his two Greycloak guards met with the B9 escort, following them to the elevators, passing by a larger war droid on a pedestal. To some organics it may have been an impressive sight, to HK, it was a pitiful one. He pitied his escort, seeing them as yet more mechanical slave doing the bidding of spoiled corporate organic masters, he pitied the large war droid made a display of this New Techno Union's supposed power like some sort of toy, the droid even pitied the elevator he rode in, seeing it as waste of durasteel when he could take the metal and put it to use making real machines of war. But then again, the ancient droid was rather biased when it came to droids designed and forged by organics, always seeing them as inferior to the models produced by free machines like him. It didn't help that the droid had a longstanding hatred and disdain towards the Confederacy along with its subsidiaries like the Techno Union, Banking Clans, Trade Federation, in his view they made a mockery of the reputation and image of proper battle droids, leading great slave armies he fought time after time throughout their many incarnations. Still the droid kept an open mind, perhaps this yet another Techno Union would turn out to be different, if not he could always pay them another visit some other time. Seeing their droids and scanning them on their way there with his photoreceptors HK determined that he did not need any lightsabers, pistols, or additional weapons to tear through the defenses of the building he was in, but that was probably just pride talking.

Finally the elevator dinged and the group came out into the view of the meeting room, seeing Mara and Dresden, HK's programming classified the man's smile as "smug", not the best first impression but still the five beings stepped forward. HK took a seat by the meeting table without returning the half-bow Dresden offered, his two Greycloak guards stood by his flanks behind him, the B droids Dresden sent would be free to do what they pleased.

Those who knew such things would be able to determine that the organic armor the three beings wore was some sort of armored biot, most likely Vong in nature, the plates covering HK's head shifted and peeled back along with the black fleshy substance, uncovering his face to reveal a silver grey metal face-plate, Phrik polished like smooth bleached bone, to those who could tell such metals apart by sight.

"Iron Lord Protector Over Abregado and Denon, representing the Guild of Hammers and Independent Droid Interests."

The machine finally spoke up, looking over the two with the red glow of his photoreceptors before the flesh membrane reached out, creeping out over his faceplate once more and the chitinous plates shifted back into their place, forming an organic helmet.

If Mara knew about the history of One Sith and Coruscant she probably heard of the Guild at least in passing, they were part of Omega Pyre/Protectorate once, gaining prestige before the onset of Sith invasion, when Coruscant was besieged they sent troops from nearby Abregado to help in its defense, and then few more times again when various factions tried to retake the planet and battled the Sith elsewhere in the region. Although the battles were not victorious the Guild still profited off of the war, growing in power and size although never really branching out outside of the Core and Inner Rim region. They had a spur of activity once more recently during the Siege of Atrisia when their army landed at the climax of the battle and lead the final push to drive the Dominion off of the planet, supposedly taking control of Jar'Kai, the old Atrisian capital in the aftermath as they joined the Galactic Alliance.

HK knew of few free droids who still claimed allegiances to the Confederacy, Techno Union, or their old ideals, none that now formed the conglomerate of Metal Lords he came to represent, still the droid was curious as to what this new incarnation's goals were, especially so close to his various spheres of influence.

Dresden grinned at the newcomer, shaking Natalie's hand as he nodded "You assume correctly, and it is an honour to have you here are the meeting."

He had read up on the IMF, as he did with most of his competition, so knew about her products that he definitely knew were going to make a fine edition to the future of this coalition.

When the Droid entered he turned to massive figure and strode over to him with confidence as he announced his presence and titles, offering his hand to shake.

"It is a pleasure to meet you."

Dresden knew very little of the past history of the planet he lived on, due to his father sending him off at a young age to a much more prestigious school. Yet he knew the droid before him was powerful, very powerful, and would be a good friend to have.

Having spoken to [member="Dresden M'koor"] previously on the matter of a trade coalition, Upari was delighted when he received the message. A shuttle departed from the surface of Halowan, docking with the fleet in orbit before it jumped into hyperspace. Though the journey was somewhat long, the doctor managed to arrive just in time, a private transport ferrying the cyborg through the speeder lanes of Coruscant. The doctor was delighted to be back, gazing towards the horizon which was littered with massive skyscrapers.

The battle droids then escorted Upari through the Techno Union headquarters, motioning towards a door which led into a comfortable looking conference room. Many had already arrived, but the cyborg but relieved to see that nobody had taken their seats. "Mr. M'koor!" the man exclaimed jovially, walking up to the CEO and giving him a friendly pat on the shoulder.

"How lucky I am, to have been elected representative of Holowan Laboratories. I look forward to hearing what you have to say." After that, the doctor took a step back, giving the full-organic some space, as he was aware of how some may have felt uncomfortable in his presence. It hardly bugged him however, for he felt just the same way. There were some interesting people here, especially the droid. He could not wait for the meeting to proceed as planned.

A really buffed Metal Lord
/ / / INVITATION ACCEPT? / / /
/ / / Yes / / /
/ / / I Lord Mettallum shall gladly come and meet you at this conference / / /

Lord Mettallum exited his shuttle and was greeted by b9 battledroids who insisted that he follow them to the conference room. The droids lead Lord Mettallum to a elevator that would take him to the conference room. Once the elevator got to the conference room floor Lord Mettallum exited it and walked towards the room. Once he got to the room he could tell it was not built for a droid of his stature so he had to bend down and enter the room so his head wouldn't hit the top part of the room. Lord Mettallum moved some chairs out of the way and decided to sit on the floor. Looking around he saw some familiar faces.

"Good to see you again Dr Upari and also good to see you exile. Anyway I Lord Mettallum am here to represent the interests of my company The Foundry Of The Maker, FOTM for short"

HK reached his hand back out towards Dresden to return the gesture and shake his inferior human limb with his superior six-fingered hand forged out of Phrik, the organic armor covering his body peeled back slightly, armored chitinous plates shifting as the dark fleshy membrane revealed metal underneath, shaking Dresden's hand without the Vong-shaped suit the droids sent by HK used touching his skin, otherwise they would accidentally cut and flay his skin and flesh from bone, a side effect of the sharkskin material that was used to create the armor, a rather nasty first impression.

At first the droid did not say nothing back, looking at the man covered in extensive cybernetics, apparently sent by Holowan Labs. HK had nothing against cyborgs, in fact he was one of the droids behind the push within Metal Lords to accept those cyberized organics who appear to be more machine than man within their ranks and give them similar privileges to their droid counterparts. That was mostly a gesture to show that the droids were not prejudice against organics among them, at least not that much, and to boost their initially dwindling numbers with flow of cyborgs seeking refuge.

Either way, after few seconds of the ancient droid judging Upari from beneath the red glow of his photoreceptors he looked back to Dresden, finally answering him again,

"Yes, it is a pleasure to be here as well. A good sign that you allow my kind and those with extensive cybernetics by your negotiation table. Your predecessors did not always share the same view, the same wise approach to the matter, and it is no secret that I actively opposed them."

Of course the droid referred to the numerous incarnations of the Confederacy, Techno Union, Trade Coalition, the old echoes of Clone Wars corporate past that came flowing back into the Galactic scene from time to time,

"And I will not hide that my actions contributed to their downfalls time and time again. Hopefully this is a sign of change, a new Trade Coalition for the new Galactic Era."

It was then HK saw [member="Lord Mettallum"] enter, one of his fellow Metal Lords,

"Lord Mettallum, I did not expect to see you at this meeting, not many of us take too much interest in the organic enterprises. Perhaps outside of Sovereign Ultimatum."

HK quipped, greeting the other droid with a nod, referring to the fact that ARGH, FOTM, and Ultimatum's LOOM were at the time probably the three biggest players on the Metal Lord industrial and commerce scene.

"I never took you for a religious type, it is good to see that our kind have not forgotten about the Maker."

Of course HK had a rather different view towards the Maker and religion within droid societies at all, considering himself to be the one true deity of machines, the Father of Droids, but that was a mix of his ego and degrading continuously more loopy mind. Either way, he did not try to discuss whose religious views were superior, at least not in public.

Dresden grins at the newcomers, specifically Upari, who he strides over to and offers a hand to shake "Upari my old friend! It is good to see you here!" He remarks before giving him a pat on the shoulder and heading back to his seat.

He then turns his attention to the droid, HK "I do hope to have less exclusive guidelines within the Coalition, we could definitely be improved with more intelligent droids in our midst. Especially such as yourself."

"I called you here today to offer you all a once in a life time opportunity, for all our businesses and for the galactic economy as a whole. But before we get started, do any of you have any questions in mind already or statements you wish to make?"
