One of the ships who arrived in the orbit of Coruscant was a sleek black corvette, speckled like the abyss of the deep space dotted only by distant starlight. There were no visible sigils or markings on the hull of the corvette although the ship sent out a transmission to the Galactic Alliance Defense Forces, clearing itself with identification from Abregado government, one of the nearby allied planets. The corvette slowed down, falling into position in the planet's orbit as another ship launched out from its underbelly, smaller although just as dark and sleek in appearance.
The stealth shuttle pushed its way through the void towards the city-planet, soon enough piercing the atmosphere and descending down through Coruscant's greying skies towards one of the many high rise district where the meeting was to take place. There the transport found the designated landing pad and finally touched down, its crow-like silhouette stopping on the metal basin with a cold low hiss of its thrusters cooling off. A ramp extended out and the airlock door opened, allowing three armored figures to walk off. All three were covered in some sort of organic black flesh-like layer with chitinous and fibrous plates arranged in layer of armor, what distinguished them apart was that one wore a black cloak, the other two wore grey, they came in armed, to a degree at least, bringing only ceremonial weaponry, holstered pistols on their sides, and a couple of hilts, some were rather obviously lightsabers, others were much more elongated and pointed.
HK and his two Greycloak guards met with the B9 escort, following them to the elevators, passing by a larger war droid on a pedestal. To some organics it may have been an impressive sight, to HK, it was a pitiful one. He pitied his escort, seeing them as yet more mechanical slave doing the bidding of spoiled corporate organic masters, he pitied the large war droid made a display of this New Techno Union's supposed power like some sort of toy, the droid even pitied the elevator he rode in, seeing it as waste of durasteel when he could take the metal and put it to use making real machines of war. But then again, the ancient droid was rather biased when it came to droids designed and forged by organics, always seeing them as inferior to the models produced by free machines like him. It didn't help that the droid had a longstanding hatred and disdain towards the Confederacy along with its subsidiaries like the Techno Union, Banking Clans, Trade Federation, in his view they made a mockery of the reputation and image of proper battle droids, leading great slave armies he fought time after time throughout their many incarnations. Still the droid kept an open mind, perhaps this yet another Techno Union would turn out to be different, if not he could always pay them another visit some other time. Seeing their droids and scanning them on their way there with his photoreceptors HK determined that he did not need any lightsabers, pistols, or additional weapons to tear through the defenses of the building he was in, but that was probably just pride talking.
Finally the elevator dinged and the group came out into the view of the meeting room, seeing Mara and Dresden, HK's programming classified the man's smile as "smug", not the best first impression but still the five beings stepped forward. HK took a seat by the meeting table without returning the half-bow Dresden offered, his two Greycloak guards stood by his flanks behind him, the B droids Dresden sent would be free to do what they pleased.
Those who knew such things would be able to determine that the organic armor the three beings wore was some sort of armored biot, most likely Vong in nature, the plates covering HK's head shifted and peeled back along with the black fleshy substance, uncovering his face to reveal a silver grey metal face-plate, Phrik polished like smooth bleached bone, to those who could tell such metals apart by sight.
"Iron Lord Protector Over Abregado and Denon, representing the Guild of Hammers and Independent Droid Interests."
The machine finally spoke up, looking over the two with the red glow of his photoreceptors before the flesh membrane reached out, creeping out over his faceplate once more and the chitinous plates shifted back into their place, forming an organic helmet.
If Mara knew about the history of One Sith and Coruscant she probably heard of the Guild at least in passing, they were part of Omega Pyre/Protectorate once, gaining prestige before the onset of Sith invasion, when Coruscant was besieged they sent troops from nearby Abregado to help in its defense, and then few more times again when various factions tried to retake the planet and battled the Sith elsewhere in the region. Although the battles were not victorious the Guild still profited off of the war, growing in power and size although never really branching out outside of the Core and Inner Rim region. They had a spur of activity once more recently during the Siege of Atrisia when their army landed at the climax of the battle and lead the final push to drive the Dominion off of the planet, supposedly taking control of Jar'Kai, the old Atrisian capital in the aftermath as they joined the Galactic Alliance.
HK knew of few free droids who still claimed allegiances to the Confederacy, Techno Union, or their old ideals, none that now formed the conglomerate of Metal Lords he came to represent, still the droid was curious as to what this new incarnation's goals were, especially so close to his various spheres of influence.
