The foundation of power. (Open to all acolytes, especially new acolytes)

Eerie. The energy of the room slowly changed as a rather large muscular Columi levitated himself into the room. A display of his common use of Telekinesis. Not once did the floating Alien being blink nor could he. Examing the other students in the room only made Osynth tilt his head. The Columi were a fragile species and yet one of the most evolved.

Since 2,000,000 BBY the Columi were.

Oh how he hated every being in this room .His hate of lesser species burned well but in order to learn about the mysteries of the Force he would for the time being...Tolerate the savages that claimed to know best. Osynth would wait silently and patiently till he was noticed.

His research on the Sith culture and Religion was intense for the time being and yet all of it was none sense in his advanced sight. He cared only for himself.

"Anger and resentment... Powerful emotions of the dark side but do you understand those emotions? Have you dissected them, gotten to the core of what makes those two particular emotions the strongest ones?" He then asked [member="Allana S'hadar"] after he had left Acolyte [member="Darlo"] to his task and while he waited for acolyte's [member="Jayce Pryde"] and [member="Gorteko Graye"] to come up to him to tell him they had finished the exercise he had laid out to them.

"To make the emotions your foundation you have to understand them, completely and wholly make them your own." He then continued but stopped midway as he saw [member="Osynth Obek"] enter the room. "Can I help you?" He asked, small part of his voice was annoyance though as he was beginning to hate late students more and more.

Having started this journey of self discovery, Gorteko felt that there was still much to learn about his power, but this was certainly a good start. He approached closer to [member="Darth Erebos"] before speaking. "I believe I need some guidance my lord. I know that I can access vastly more power than normal when I am afraid, but it loses its stability, I lack control. However if I learned to control it, I believe I would lose my fear. Does this mean that fear is not my foundation, or that I must simply meditate on it more?" This class had been very enlightening thus far, if he could learn the easiest way to tap into his power he could become much more successful in combat. Perhaps even sustain his fighting style for longer periods, or increase the number of objects carried.

Erebos had to place his hand against his chin when he heard [member="Gorteko Graye"] speak his inquiry to him. "Fear... unlike most of the lords of the sith I see fear as a fickle foundation as history has shown that lords with that power as their foundation become paranoid with time but there are instances were they are powerful and in control. However have you dissected this emotion? found were it comes from and what it is you truly fear that fuels you so when you are afraid?" Erebos then asked the acolyte, he would help them through his class but he wouldn't hold their hands, they were sith after all doing the grunt work by yourself when increasing your own power was sort of a given.

Gorteko listened intently to what [member="Darth Erebos"] had to say. He was a good instructor, giving guidance but not answers, was truly the best way to teach so that other may learn. Gorteko would then return to where he was before and resume meditation. 'Fear. What is it I fear? Loss? Pain? Failure? No, that isn't right; while I do have fears, these are not the questions I should be asking. Fear is just a means to an end, an easy way to tap into my strength. It cannot be my foundation. So then we begin again, what is the rock upon which I stand? When facing an opponent, my power peaks when I am calm and collected; though fear grants much more raw power, the lack of control makes me weak. But I must look at more than just combat, in training even, I progress my abilities more when I have control. Even now, in meditation, being calm allows me to delve into myself and look for what I must find. Serenity? Could it be that I draw my power from the... No, impossible. That simply couldn't be.'

Opening his eyes once more, Gorteko discovered something he did not wish to know. However, he could never allow anyone else to find this out, because it would destroy him. For now, he would simply have to lie, possibly forever. The sith would take great care in ensure that nothing about his posture or voice or action gave away that anything was different as he spoke. "My lord, thank you for your guidance. I was foolish to think fear was my foundation. Rage, unadulterated hatred, is where my power derives. Fear is merely one of the stepping stones to get there; but rage is what drives me."

Erebos could feel it from [member="Gorteko Graye"] as he meditated, his foundation wasn't rage, it was the calm and collected mind of his serenity with his emotions and how he wielded them. Much like himself he saw Gorteko as a cold rage user, if that wasn't the truth however it would serve as a good disguise for him in the future. "Do not lie to me Acolyte I am here to teach you, if you do not wish to reveal your strength to the other Acolytes then I would suggest a private tutoring session after the lesson." He then said simply as he placed his hands behind his back and looked at the other acolytes. "Are all of you done yet or shall I continue on with the lesson?"

Matthew(Rogue)Drevur

Captain of the Emeralde Luna, and owner/friend of
The starship the Luna jumps out of hyperspace and lands at the temple, several unsuccessful tries to become a Sith ended in me searching again. I walk into the temple and hear taking coming from a room, apparently a class is taking place, 'this is it! HA! Now I can become a Sith, or at least something worthy.' I enter the class, "Um... What class may this be? And is there a way I can join without disturbing it?" I don't let the teacher answer as I sit down next to the other acolytes. "Your Darth Erebos, I have heard of you, quite famous in terms of the Sith."

Erebos turned his head towards [member="Matthew (Rogue) Drevur"] and moved his hand towards the acolyte and ripped him up from the ground with the force so that Erebos gripped him with his hand. "How so? And do you know coming to a class late is considered bad form?" Erebos said, annoyance painting his voice a little. What was with all the acolytes always coming late to his classes? With an expelling sigh he let Matthew go. "I do not condone coming late to my classes so that you know that in the future. If you arrive late to another of my classes there will be a punishment." He said, his tone almost apologetic but he wasn't going to. To him it was unnecessary in the moment.
