The Future of the New Jedi Order - Have your say!

Stagnation, Benevolent Dictatorship, One trick pony. I have a list of things as to why there needs to be change. However that'd be going against my earlier words and further into this hole I've dug. If you believe that our current system is fine, tell me why? Without listing the previous accolades, if you don't mind. :)

Perhaps there's a middle ground here between the positions. Arguments for the Marshall system is quite convincing and I think that would be something to remain to stand ready for any military conflict- perhaps even to stand as essentially permanently attached to the military forces while also the recreation of some of the other aspects of the Jedi Order- ExplorCorps, AgriCorps, etc. That gives us the flexibility and variability to handle different sorts of Jedi stories.

Keep Omai as the Grand Marshal ultimately in charge, but maybe increase things beneath him. A sort of council of Marshals- with different Marshals for different aspects of the NJO.

We already do that.

I am against taking twenty steps backwards and reverting NJO to what was essentially what many of the GA Jedi left the GR for, myself included.

The Grand Marshall does NOT hold all the power like how OS strctured itself. He is part of, basically speaking, a triumvirate system of NPC IC leaders, all of which are detailed in the GA information forum.

Dont have time to get all my thoughts down right now. Will speak more tonight.

Let's look forwards rather than back.

We have Jedi Sub Units bur they've always been lacking love.

Perhaps a slight twist on Marshals.

Take the tag away from everyone who has it now. Marshals should be in characters leaders and drivers of the sub faction and we're not right now.

When someone gets recognised as a Marshal they have access to new toys and greater authority within Alliance space.

But there is also responsibility. They MUST define, maintain and organise a subunit within the New Jedi Order.

I'm thinking like the Jedi Guardians, Sentinels, Sages of SWTOR but instead of faction admin driving it, make it member led.

Same.

During the time where I ran the OS, I constantly monitored the activity of those holding leadership positions (Voices and Hands). If they didn't keep up, they were removed and replaced with those who were active and had earned it. And I can confidently state that given my extended LoA, I am entirely fine with giving up the position so that others may earn/claim it.

Would love to see an expansion into argri corps, exploration corps, maybe an antarian rangers type thing for NFU's that can work alongside them.

We don't just have to stick with Marshal. Maybe bring in a mix of arbiter or such terms.

Definately can have a blend of things while keeping it simple.

Before Astarii stepped down, I told him that I'd be doing some work and write ups on the ExplorCorps, and that it might extend to the Service Corps as a whole. Even though we're considering less radical changes now, I'd still be willing to continue helping with that work after the FO election no matter the results.
