The Galactic Alliance Senate (Info & Roster)

Topic: Galatic Alliance Merchant Marine (GAMM)
IC Information:

When the Galactic Alliance is under threat many want to help. By creating the GAMM the senate would make a framework for the businesses of the Galaxy to help directly but under the supervision & direction of the GA military.

Article 1: Galactic Alliance Merchant Marine
creation of the branch and program.
making the master "Registration list" allowing companies to add fleets for activation during times of war

Article 2: Duration
To be determined during wartime, registration of fleets into the program are marked active for a duration of:
1) 3 months
2) 6 months
3) 12 months
4) 24 months

Article 3: Compensation
The GAMM fleets will be compensated after the successful winning of the war(s). It shall be determined by the Senate + the military high command how helpful the fleets were. And thus how much, or little payment is due.

OOC Intent: To expand writing chances & activity especially when the GA is facing multiple opponents or a powerful one needing a little more oomph.

Topic: The Galactic Alliance Defense Force Readjustment Act (GADFRA)
IC Information: The GADFRA seeks to provide a range of benefits for some of the returning Core War veterans. For too long, have veterans came back broken shells of their former selves, and shunted off to the side. The purpose of GADFRA is to support veterans in achieving personal, educational, and financial success after their service.

Benefits include:
  • Education and Training: Covers tuition costs for higher education, vocational training, and certification programs(limited to one degree/certificate per veteran), with a stipend adjusted for cost of living;
  • Housing Assistance: Offers benefits to help veterans purchase homes with no or low down payments, often with favorable loan terms;
  • Job Training and Apprenticeships: Provides funding for on-the-job training and apprenticeships, helping veterans acquire new skills and transition to civilian careers;
  • Mental Health Resources: Provides funding for therapy, counseling, and other forms of mental health care to ensure veterans have comprehensive support;
  • Veteran Entrepreneurship: On a limited annual basis, GADFRA provides low-interest loans to veterans aspiring to start a business.
Requirements:
  • Citizen of a Galactic Alliance member world;
  • Three years of uninterrupted service in GADF;
  • Separation from GADF under honorable circumstances.

OOC Intent: Purpose of this is...well, I like the GI Bill as a concept, I didn't see anything like this in past bills, and Tiber liking the troops/being ambitious.
