The Gods giveth and most women piss it away ( South Systems Syndicate)

The Hutt could see the female's mind working quickly, digesting what he had said. After all, it wasn't going to be a too easy job, getting him into the Galactic Senate. After all,... had there ever been a Hutt representative in the senate? No matter, there were always first times. He had made his decision, for after all, some representation and politics in the Galactic Senate could mean business and fortunes of profit for his Syndicate.
"Then if it is political power you so desire oh most honorable Excon," she lightly tapped his glass with hers, "Then I would do all in my power to get you such a lofty and deserving position."
Excon grinned like he had just won the million-credit Corellian lottery. "That's a good girl! I'm sorry if I had to give such a big bargain, but what can you expect when dealing with Hutts..?" he said and boomed in laughter. "This means great profit for your business as well, my dear. Less taxes on corporations! That at least I can ensure!"

Her eyes took on a calculating sheen at that, crimson lips curving up in a knowing Cheshire cat grin, "You do know how to charm a girl, Excon, you devil!" She said with a purr, flashing him a wink.

"To profit, vengeance, and to galactic representation," she said in a toast, lightly clinking her glass against his as a precursor to them sealing the deal with a contract. Her mind was already connecting dots and making plans.

Soon it will all come together. Soon, he would be rolling in the deep.

Excon the Hutt grinned as well, pleased at himself for making such an excellent deal.
From a crime lord of Tatooine to the Galactic Senate! It seemed a long way, but he knew he had the ability of making it there.
"To profit, vengeance, and to galactic representation," said the woman in a toast.
"To profit, vengeance, and to galactic representation," said Excon the Hutt, his greedy eyes observing inside his mind the great deal he had made. He too, was making a plan and connecting some dots in his mind.

Zev walked into the cantina, his suit traded in for a light collard shirt and black slacks due to the immense heat. He wasn't sure why Durok had decided not to come to this meeting way before it even happened, he shouldn't be letting his subordinates make such deals unattended. He would have to explain his presence here since the Hutt probably didn't know Durok dead, hell none of them probably knew. It didn't take long to find the massive slug, he looked like he was trying to woo the girl, figured all of those overgrown slimes were perverts.

"Excon the Hutt, trying to get the contacts into your bed I see." Zev said as he approached the two

"Excon the Hutt, trying to get the contacts into your bed I see." said a voice that Excon knew too well.
"Ah. If it isn't my good old buddy Zev..." hissed the Hutt as the man in the light collared shirt entered the room and approached 'em. The way Excon looked irritatedly at Zev told that Zev was anything but Excon's good old buddy. If it weren't for the fact that they were 'allies', both hired under Durok, they'd probably be trying to kill each other. "What... Is something wrong?" asked Excon, slightly annoyed at his fellow Syndicate member's comment. He knew that showing up in Tatooine for some leisure time was one of the least likely things Zev would do.

Zev ignored the slug for a moment as he gave the young red head a kind smile "You must be Danger, it is a pleasure ma'am." Zev reached out and met the girls hand, kissing the top of it lightly before taking a seat and looking at the Hutt "There has been a power shift." with a quick movement he placed Excon's whole year payment on the table "You are my new employee"

"There has been a power shift."
Excon the Hutt's eyes grew wide as he watched Zev suddenly dump his entire year's paycheck on the table. It really were a lot of credit, which would normally last for about 10 years for any normal bounty hunter or mercenary. "You are my new employee" announced Zev. How could it be..? Zev was in line after Durok? No matter...
Excon suddenly winked at Danger. He'd show how foolish it was for Zev to personally come to Tatooine. He quickly snatched up his payment from the table, and using his other hand, suddenly snapped it.
Without any warning, a ray shield would be activated between Zev and Excon, separating his new boss from him and Danger. Then, from Zev's side of the room, half a dozen fully armed mercenaries would burst in and aim their weapons at Zev. "Well, good old buddy. Haven't you forgotten that Durok personally appointed me as the crime lord of Tatooine? These folks here-" he waved his fingers at the mercenaries, "-have no loyalty to the syndicate, only to me. So does every other mercenaries in the planet. How foolish of you to personally come to Tatooine, Zev..."

Zev looked back to the mercenaries, calmly taking a cigar from his pocket and lighting it as if there were no danger whatsoever. He looked at the Hutt with unfeeling eyes, he was indeed a worthy adversary that was always for certain. "You were always a filthy scoundrel Excon...but how stupid do you think I am." Zev took a transmitter from his ts pocket, accompanied by a small datapad. With emotionless eyes he took the cigar from his mouth and let the sweet tabac smoke flow from his lips and out into the air, only meet the ray shield and disperse "This transmitter is a homing beacon, one linked right to the Republic Police force on Coruscant. It just so happens to be that I forgot to tell anyone I was coming here, so they are very worried about my well being. I'm sure they would waste no time to come rescue a poor elderly man from the clutches of his Hutt captor. And don't worry, if there is no evidence you kidnapped me, there soon will be." Zev stuck the cigar back in his mouth and looked at the datapad he had recovered, his index finger still ready to hit transmit on the beacon

"Is there a Fardo Negrez here?" Zev asked, scanning his neck to scan the line of mercs. He could spot the Rodian he was talking about right away, he was hard to miss with the shock spread across his insect like face "You have a wife and son, they live her in Anchorhead and are currently attending a party in honor of a local hunting legend. My agents do admire her light green form, apparently it is most beautiful in the light of the hunting office. How about Cole Thao?" Again a mercenary, this time a human, gave an expression of pure shock "Your mother is in the hospital, West Coruscant General to be specific. She seems to be dealing well, it would be a shame if her life support malfunctioned."

Zev was quiet as he let his words hang in the air "I could go on and on, but I think you all know that I have most of your profiles here. Now, you could listen to Excon here and shoot me. But make no mistake, the Republic will show up and even if you do have the fortune to escape before their arrival my agents will commit very horrific acts on someone you know. Alternatively, you could kill this fat piece of shit and continue on as mercenaries under me at triple your current pay." Zev turned back to the fat slug in front of him "Stargo Enterprise is very generous to its friends, but it does not take kindly to its enemies."

Excon found this all very amusing. Yes... it had been a while since he last met a worthy opponent. Just because the old man infront of him had proved to be a worthy thinker, and would be valuable as an ally, he would have spared his life. Except... Hutts tend not to be too happy when they are called a fat piece of sh*t. And he wasn't going to be easily bossed around by someone that called him that. So gathering all of his strength, Excon let out a booming laughter that rang across the room. "Clever clever... Always the smart one, weren't you Zev? But even you seem to be getting a tad bit stupid from your elderly age. You believe that the republic police will waste no time to come rescue a poor elderly man from the clutches of his Hutt captor..? Really? In the middle of nowhere in the Outer Rim, they'll be come looking and try to rescue you from Tatooine? I think I told you before but you could've always tried out as a comedian... Always had a good old sense of humor." The crime lord Hutt let his words hang in the air for a few seconds. After a short pause, he gathered breath and continued, suddenly waving his fingers at his mercenaries. " Stay loyal to me, and one million credits for each of you! I shall pay fourfold of the pay that that old man can ever promise you! Anyhow.... Mr. Stargo. We could keep on betting fortunes on these good gentlemen's pay, but I do realize I am a bit short on time right now. And just so you know, I can activate the explosives within this room to blow us up. You said your enterprise rewared your allies well. If you could... er, convince me a little with some... extra pay,..... boss." said the Hutt. If he was bribed just enough, he'd continue working for this guy.

Zev blew another smoke cloud into the air. He was more than delighted, he knew that the slug was admitting defeat without actually admitting it. Zev could reveal that he now had a contact within the Jedi council and that the Republicans would indeed kick down the door, but there was no need since he had just claimed victory "That could be worked out, Excon. Well, as long as you do not try and kill me again." Zev looked to the woman with the red hair "I apologize for making such a fuss in front of you ma'am, please continue your conversation."

Excon shrugged. He was happy as long as he got his pay. Hopefully his new boss wouldn't call him a fat piece of sh*t anytime too soon, cause that would not help with his anger management. He still found it unable to believe that something had happened to Durok.

Well, needless to say, all kinds of ruckus ensued just after the little toast. Then again, this was Tatooine. Expect the unexpected and do so with a smile. Power struggles and new leaders reigning after the old were not unknown to her. So, without further ado after the whole mess of a transaction was done, she gave a small shrug of her shoulder, and turned to the large Hutt next to her.

"Well then, I guess we have an accord?"

"That could be worked out, Excon. Well, as long as you do not try and kill me again." said Zev. "I apologize for making such a fuss in front of you ma'am, please continue your conversation."
Excon the Hutt nodded whe he was asked whether they had an agreement.
"Ofcourse... send me a holographic message anytime you need to..." he said, trying to remain calm after what had just occured.

Danger flashed him a wink then. It was all going according to plan. Soon she would have her revenge as well as make a profit. Soon, he would pay for all that he'd done to her. The deep emerald of her eyes glittered with the passion she felt for serving this particular dish cold.

"Of course most honorable Excon," she purred out, then noticing his rather aggravated state, motioned for the Twi'leks to come over and relax the Hutt some. "Let the games begin...." she murmured quietly to herself, rocking the whiskey glass with her right hand as her mind began making a mental checklist on who to contact first to pave the way for Excon's rise in the Galactic Senate.
