It's a cat-astrophe!
Beth took a breath as she squeezed [member="Caedyn Arenais"] hand. She wasn't exactly aware that she was still holding it, she was just trying to figure out how to survive in this whole mess. The only comfort in Beth's mind was that if someone weaponized it, chances are they had a cure for it. Someone wouldn't weaponize something without being able to reverse it. Or at least, that's what she hoped. On that same note, she couldn't imagine what Caedyn was feeling with his mom being turned into a block of AMBER with no real concrete knowledge. But, she could tell that [member="Tiali Orazio"] was on his way towards them. And he could tell that they didn't target the woman next to [member="Lady Kay"], which meant Lady Kay was a target.
If Lady Kay was a target... Then so Caedyn, assumably! That meant this was planned, too. Frack... What were they going to do? Beth was just trying to think of a game plan. They would be more valuable alive than AMBERED, so Beth was trying to figure... Something out. It looked like a Jedi might be engaging. Plus, she heard [member="Skosk Australis"] in the air telling him to leave her alone. She loved her, for all purposes, brother. He'd do anything for her. She almost screamed out to him, but he probably saw her from his vantage point since he was literally in the air.
Her mind was pulled back to Caedyn as he said he had to get to his mom, "Caedyn, don't, they want you to go back..." She tried to convince him to not leave, also instinctively gripping her hand on his but he broke free. Just like that, he was already gone, running back to his mom. She couldn't blame him - if [member="Yasha Mantis"] or [member="Kaine Australis"] were in a similar situation, she would do everything she could to get to them. To somehow save them, even if she had no idea. She groaned, her long ears pulling back into a defensive, worried position.
Her attention was turned to a momentarily angry Skosk as he yelled at her from... Somewhere. How did he manage to yell that loud, actually? Sheesh... Firstly, she noted in her mind, she lost [member="Mavarah"] at the spaceport. That wasn't her fault! Hopefully, she was still there and not anywhere near here... Ugh, she didn't see her around here at least... Secondly, lover boy?! It wasn't like that! ... Was it? Beth liked him, sure, but... Her cheeks flushed bright red as she stared at the ground for a moment. Gosh, he didn't have to embarrass her like that in front of literally the people who would probably kill her or whatever happened to someone who got AMBERED. Plus, what if Caedyn heard?! But, there was more important things than to argue with Skosk. She had to cause trouble. Draw them away. She could do that. She was kinda good at doing that. She and Skosk working together was always a good team - at, well, getting into trouble. It was a reputation they had acquired. Whether sneaking into kitchen cabinets at night or bashing faces in, they could always rely on each other.
Urgh, mom is going to kill her when she hears about this. She could only imagine the scolding she was going to get from Yasha. With a deep breath, she pulled a small Force shield in front of her as she ran out from behind the cover, trying to attract the attention of [member="Tiali Orzaio"]. She ran towards him, but did her best to stay behind either those were already AMBERED, hovercraft, or something that would block any direct shot. Whether she was successful in this was a whole other story. Maybe if she made enough of a ruckus, his and his goons attention would be turned to her. It might give Caedyn enough time to weave through the crowds and get to Lady Kay. And maybe give [member="Dax Fyre"] or [member="Petria Breguet"] enough time to figure some type of plan out. Secretly, she just hoped she could give Caedyn enough time to get to Lady Kay and somehow be safe, whether it was realistic or not.
She kept her connection to the Force as strong as she could, allowing her free hand without the shield to crackle with the emerald colored electricity. Just in case. "Hey! You jerk hats! I'm Mand'alor the Infernal's daughter! And General Kaine Australis's daughter!" She yelled as loudly as she could. She was throwing out names that he or the others might recognize, as people with power. She hoped it would get his attention in some way - they were powerful people, at least in Mandalorian space. Whether he knew or even cared was a whole 'other story, but still. The goal was to distract and she hoped that her running around with a bright, white colored 'shield' and yelling at them would get their mind at least somewhat off the others - or at least Caedyn, who was running to get to his mom still.
