The Graug Reforms: Securing Gratos (PM for non-faction members)

Trox continued to withdraw, it was a clever attempt to draw out a mistake from the two. The entire time, from the second he started his retreat, his eyes had been scanning for the opportunity to strike. Eventually, the man that Trox had first struck at, leap forward and prepared for a downward lunge with his saber. It was a fast attack, one that would have caught the beast off guard were he really trying to completely flee from the battle. But, as it stood now, it would serve to Trox's advantage.

As the boy leap forward, Trox quickly dropped to one knee and braced himself to the ground. The biggest advantage the force pike held was that it had a farther reach than the sabers, and he was going to capitalize on that. Sometimes it paid to be tall. From this kneeling position, the Graug thrust his spear forward seconds before the apprentice reached him the tip. The force would no doubt offer the Jedi a way to escape. Assuming he couldn't however, the boy would simply drive himself into the spear with his own weight and save Trox the trouble of having to kill him through his acrobatic fighting style.

The Knight's blades had done their duty. The Graug leader was wounded, and Graxin was rather confident that would be the end of him. A wound would slow him down, make him vulnerable, which was exactly what they needed. He had quite a bit more experience than his Padawan, and knew to remain back so that he could assess Trox. Kaigann, however, was not aware of that tactic. The boy ha charged.

Graxin was much too far away to strike with his blades. Any attempt to lunge forward would likely end in the death of Trox--along with Kaigann. So, the Knight did what his instincts told him. He hurled the black blade forward, sending it in an arc from right to left through the air. The unsettling lightsaber hissed as it carved through the air, in a straight arc for Trox's arm. If successful, he might be able to cripple the Graug before Kaigann fell upon his blade.

That was when he caught sight of Haytham. He did not know the Jedi--never saw him on Ossus or trained with him beforehand--and he didn't much care. "Imperial Knight in the base. Help him." Graxin quipped. It wasn't much--he was a bit caught up in directing the path of his arcing blade.

The Graug within the base were now pouring outward, trying to escape from...something. Either way, they charged desperately toward the exit and, by extension, [member="Rexus Drath"].

The Monitor would have shook his head if he still had one. That was over twenty thousand years ago to the date however, and in that time he had never thought to install any humanoid accessories to his chassis. The thought was troubling. The leader of the Architects strode out of the shuttle with an air of control, odd considering his almost entirely robotic body. Indeed, every part of the Monitor's bodily systems had been replaced with technology--save for his nerves, brain, and hormonal glands. These kept him alive, an organic being rather than a long lived droid.

"No. They will be useful. Besides, I think it's best we do not kill those we are trying to save, no?" There was a somewhat good natured humor to the Monitor's voice. He strode toward the stairs leading upward, and tilted his chassis forward. "Those we've came for are at the top, killing Graug. If you would be so kind as to help them finish that job twelve?"

It wasn't a question. The Monitor strode up the stairwell without a care in the world. Either he had sensors telling him no one was ahead, or he had an unhealthy confidence in DG-12's capabilities. Likely the latter.

"Point taken, Monitor." Riley - back now - responded drily, post-killing spree. The Monitor's next command was met with a simple command, and she sprinted up the stairs ahead of the Monitor. Soon, she was out of sight, but evidence of her passing in the form of the bodies of non-Graug guards were occasionally seen.

When she reached the top of the stairs, the doors slid open to admit her into the room. The Graug were fleeing - something. Cynical as she was, Riley doubted it was the Jedi. Twelve didn't much care, and simply raised her DC-17 and starting blasting the most troublesome Graug.

The Pirate clan was ceasing to exist. This was good. The remaining pirate Graug were being driven from their hovel; their off-world allies all lying in smoking heaps around their stronghold. the Dreadguard were nothing if not efficient, and Twelve was the embodiment of the efficiency. The Monitor came to a halt as they made it to the surface. The Graug were fleeing, an Imperial Knight was charging, another Jedi had shown up, and the leader was fighting the Pirate Dreadfather with his Padawan.

Pitiful.

"Twelve. Please assist our allies in subjugating the remaining pirates. They will prove useful. I will summon a shuttle from the Ge'hutuun." Without any further words, the Monitor strode out into the hellish battlefield without any sense of caution, and relayed a call for his private shuttle.

Twelve potentially assisted magnificently. Two steps forward, raise the deecee, surgical shots to common weakspots such as the back of the neck, armpits (angled to hit the heart), and seams between backplates. If that worked, great. If now, well, she had the attention of the Pirate Dreadfather, and that was fan-karking-tastic.

At least it wasn't trying to murder the Jedi anymore...because it was trying to kill her instead.

Rexus took another sizzle of his cigarette and sighed blowing out more smoke. Letting the cigarette hang limp in his mouth Rexus sighed and pushed behind [member="Graxin Rade"] covering his flank. Dipping down he picked up another lancer and holstered his saber. "I got your back!" Rexus cocked back the rifle and with a hum of power the blaster rifle was loaded and ready to go. "What the hell are the Jedi doing here?! This place is pretty karked up!" Rexus shouldered the rifle and aimed it at a graug twenty feet to Graxin's right.

Again and again Rexus fired down Graug that came near Graxin, he would lead the way cutting down anything that passed and Rexus would provide covering fire. "Move up!" Rexus shouted as he aimed down the sights of his stolen rifle. Firing a burst of three bolts he lodged them into the chest of a Graug that fell back the bolts flying through the back of the chest and out of him.

Haytham Kaze

His orders were to find the Imperial Knight.

His mission had been failed then.

Haytham had never found the supposed 'ally' deeper within the Stronghold, and soon he was on his way back towards where he had seen the Jedi that was leading this mission. There had been plenty of Graug ahead of him and the handful of Republic soldiers that had followed along with him. That handful was reduced to nothing, but he was near the Jedi Knight. He could feel it.

Or so he thought.

Of course Haytham had no idea where he was going, when he had been given his orders by [member="Graxin Rade"], and after.

So finally, he was on his way back to the entrance.

Is this clean up duty now?

I don't know.

It was time to find the Jedi who gave him the orders...
