The Great Escape [Mysa]

Or so he thought.....
Midvinter
Grand Hall
Early Morning
[member="Mysa Snowstrider"]
All was quiet in the grand hall, nothing was stirring not even a mouse. Well save for grand papa's snoring, that was loud enough to wake the dead and the Gods, both. Mother and father tucked up in their quarters sleeping soundly as well, as for his sisters? their quarters right next to his so Théo had to be as quiet as he could. Dressed already, in his valkyri jerkin, white undershirt and thick boots, he grabbed for his fur. It is a bitter morning, the frost thick on the windows and more assuredly there would have been a dump of snow through the night. Although Théo is a throw back, and possess more of the Valkyri than Corellian and has a strong constitution to the cold weather, he is not pure blood and so feels the bite. Someone had forgot to light the hearth! evident enough upon his breath as a thin mist formed on each breath he took.

The thick door creaked upon opening and Théo winced . He stopped for a moment to listen, but nothing, no one stirred. His head popped out and looked up and down the corridor and once the way was deemed clear, he left his room and hurried down the long corridor for the side entrance. One quick look back to make sure he was not 'found out', he opened the door to the outside and freedom! Little did Théo know that there had been a pair of icy blue eyes watching him.

His plan? to leave the capital and head for adventure beyond the high wall. Father had once built a fence on Tabaqui to keep him in, seems grand papa had done the same, well not really, that was there for defensive purposes, but it would NOT hold him. As he walked down one of the small dirt streets on his way to the eastern entrance .. the trade entrance, his boots crunching in the freshly laid snow, his mind was on his escape.
jorvik_viking_street_400x261.jpg

He could scale the wall, but he would be in full view of the guards, the guards also would not allow him simply to walk through the trade gates either! As Théo is apart of the royal family and so known to most within Tháinbroek. But the Gods are kind to Théo this morning, just as he arrived, the eastern gates opened to allow several carts entrance, fully laden with food, goods and wares to sell at the market. Equally, a line of carts sat to the side and waited to leave.

With a creek Mysa heard the door open, and immediately awoke. On the bed not too far from her own Nina lay, still and quiet in her sleep. Curiously the little girl stepped out of her own bed and slipped on her boots. She had slept in her thick clothes, she had not a drop of Winter blood in her veins, it was frightfully cold at all times.

Reaching for her cloak she wrapped it around her shoulders, picked up Éar from where he lay on her bed, beside her pillow, and carefully opened the door. Peering beyond she could make out the tiny distinct form of little Théo who was still a baby in her eyes. Where was he going so early? He looked as though he could catch a death of cold outside, so as he exited the little Umbaran followed.

On her way out she picked up a spare fur cloak and a hat, fully intent on bundling the boy up when she reached him. But she did not wish to wake the Heavenshields, so instead she exited as quietly as he had into the bitter morning air of Midvinter, hot on his tail.

As the carts halted his progression, Mysa caught up with him and settled a hand upon his shoulder.

"Théo" she breathed, her breath misting in the air and her nose freezing, "What are you doing? It's freezing out!" While he was distracted with the fact that she was there, Mysa did her best to tug on a warm hat over his head and pull another cloak about his body... But she did not expect to be entirely successful with either. After all, Théo could be quite the nuisance when he had his attention set on something!

Too focused on the line of carts preparing to move out, Théo jumped out of his skin when a soft hand settled on his shoulder followed by his name. The Gods are fickle it seemed to him now, no sooner had they provided a means of his escape, now an obstacle in the form of Mysa. Not only that the girl thought to dress him? "I .. I don't need a ... ", he protested as she put the fur around him. However, it was warm and nice and there was no way he would tell her it was actually required. But there was simply no way on Midvinter would he wear a hat! The hat had little time to settle on his head before it was removed, "You wear it!", he said placing it on Mysa's head.

He sighed inwardly, "What are you doing out?", he threw the question back at her. That was his way of buying more time to think, Théo does a lot of that. There was two options, lie to her about his intentions or bring her along. Neither of the options seemed good to him, she would know if he lied and would return to the grand hall to tell on him, and no doubt mother or father would come to find him. That option was thrown out immediately. So there was nothing of it but to convince Mysa to come with him. Might not be a bad thing? She might be fun and up for adventure? He signed inwardly again. Who was he kidding, she is a girl, and they are no fun.

"I am going for a .. walk. Out there", he pointed toward the eastern gate still open and beckoning to him. At that moment, the line of carts began to move, filing out of the eastern gates onto the road to all parts of Midvinter. "You want to come?", he asked with little hope in his heart, but did not await a reply. Théo grabbed hold of Mysa's hand and pulled her toward the edge of the street and hurried to the last cart. "Quickly, jump on the back". He let go of her hand, the choice to join him is up to her.

When Théo protested, little Mysa rolled her eyes. And as the hat was plonked onto her head the little girl couldn't help but giggle, before her expression turned serious. "Now, Théo, Furry and Co--- I mean, Mommy and Daddy won't be happy if they know you sneaked out... And less so if you catch a cold! Or hypo... hyper... whatever that other thing is called."

The hat kept her ears warm, however; maybe she could tempt him to at least throw up his hood? "I'm trying to make sure you're not eaten by a Hrothwúrm! Or lost out in a snowstorm!" With a frown she took his hand and began to walk away. "The only place you're going is back home, where hot cocoa and a warm blanket await!"

Without warning, however, the boys grip tightened in hers and he began to pull her through the street toward the wagon. When he jumped on the back she knew immediately that she had no choice but to follow. The tundra was a dangerous place, especially for a boy so little. Best she join him, Furry would understand... Right?

Scrambling onto the back of the moving cart, Théo looked to the driver to make sure he had not seen or heard them. As Mysa climbed up as well, he smiled, "You can be so bossy, do you know that?", He lifted up what appeared to be some sort of covering, Théo assumed to protect whatever the man had to offer for sale at the market. "Quickly, under here", he spoke softly as possible. "But I am glad you decide to come with me, but lay still and stop talking". Rich coming from him since he is doing the chattering.

Now about the cart. It is a cart like any other cart, wooden, two large spoke wheels, and couple of empty barrels, some tools and lots of splinters, and one unkempt smelly big hairy Valkyri driver with two in hand. But soon after the two runaways had settled for the short journey, they would realise the nature of what the trader had to trade in the markets. "Ewwww, What .. is that smell?", Théo's face screwed up in disgust and as he shifted to try and find some air, his hand landed on something ... wet and squishy. Picking it up to inspected and showing it to Mysa is a rotten old fish head. Yeap, the kids are gonna need a bath when they get home.

The stinky cart trundled along the road heading south, it will pass through Rildonmark on it way to the Isles of Tears, but the two smelly kids are not going that far. As soon as the cart entered the start of the pine forest a little way from Tháinbroek, Théo threw back the cover and jumped off. As soon as he landed, he ran after the cart, to help Mysa get off. "Come on, jump!".

"May Helm kick your hides from Tháinbroek to Reykjaa, get off my cart you couple of good for nothin market rats, away with you!", finally the driver noticed his stowaways.

[member="Mysa Snowstrider"]

Mysa frowned. Was she really bossy? Well, she was the older of the two and she did know how dearly little Théo was loved, it would break his parent's heart if he went missing or worse was eaten or turned into one of the winter bound zombies which roamed through the snow, at least that's what she had once been told. No, it simply would not do for him to be running off alone! Therefore she had to step in.

"Well, I'm sorry but I like you alive thank you very much!" Her matter-of-fact tone was very reminiscent of her age.

Rolling under the tarp as it was lifted, Mysa immediately picked up on the disgusting scent of fish and had to force herself not to heave. Though it was definitely tempting. Each jolt of the cart as the wheels struck stone sent some of the brine water, no doubt mixed with fish guts, sloshing over the side of their containers. Mysa peeked out of the tarp and began to gasp for air, it was so nasty! Her eyes even began to water, and Mysa was never one to cry! Not that she was now, of course.

The second her would-be-brother leaped from the cart Mysa was quick to follow suit, making sure nothing of theirs was left behind in the process. "Eugh, yuck!" she complained, when her feet were firmly planted in the snow. As the man yelled back at them Mysa instead dropped to the ground and began to roll around, hoping the snow would wash off some of the fishy scent. Of course, it wouldn't, by now it was likely set in their skin.

Disgusting.

[member="Théodred Heavenshield"]

"You should have been called Snowswimmer", he said with a grin, watching Mysa wriggle in the snow, in her futile attempt to rid herself of the smell of fish. Theo opted for a different approach, not that that would work either, but it made the two of them feel better about themselves. He walked to the nearest pine tree and taking up a handful of fallen nettles he rubbed his hands with those, what little remaining oils in the nettles worked somewhat, and took away some of the bits of fish and scales from his skin. He could smell the pine aroma, not only from the forest but the nettles.

Once he had completed his scrub down, Theo looked around the forest and through the trees he could see the capital in the distance, the tall walls and the main gates and the roof of the grand hall. They are not far from home, a couple of hours walk at most. His gaze turned to the skies, the sun heavy in the blue dome which made the sky look big. Big Sky Country, he had once heard this before, but that expression referred to another place.

They should have clear skies for the day, and so onward! Before him, a path which seemed to have been created by the creatures of the forest, narrow and winding and so, why not follow it? Lets discover the author that writes upon the lands.

"Come on Wriggles", he grinned more teasing Mysa.
... and so he is off walking along the track to find, who knows what. He walked slowly so Wriggles could catch up.

[member="Mysa Snowstrider"]

"Well you should've been called fishbrain" she said, sticking her tongue out semi-playfully. Snowswimmer indeed! Mysa didn't even know how to swim, let alone in snow! How silly. She watched as he tried a completely different approach and frowned. While the pine did smell great it was no mask for the stench the both had been drenched in. So she stumbled up to her feet, a perfectly grand mess in the snow including a snow angel!

With a grumble she peered around at the forest they were on the edge of. She wanted to climb the trees, but she knew it would be difficult given that they were pines, the branches were super thin and most were high up. Drats. And anyway she had to watch Théo so running off to play was not on her agenda, sadly. She had to make sure the little man made it home alive!

"Wriggles?" she said, scrunching up her face as she hurried after the little boy, pulling down the hat over her ears and proceeding to flick up the boy's hood so it protected him from the harsher elements. It would not do to have his ears frost bitten!

Fishbrain! Awesome! Théo smiled. Mysa just elevated in esteem to Théo mind. However, he would not tell her that! not in words at least, but he stopped and turned around to face her. But something caught his attention, oh this was to good to be true, and he walked toward her. "Are you sure?", he said with a mock expression and reached a hand up to her pretty white hair. His finger gently retrieved a small piece of fish entrail caught in her locks and he gladly showed it to her. "I think some of yours fell out". He threw it away to the side and decided distance between the two might be prudent now. "Yeah, Wriggles, I think I will call you that from now on". He shot to her over his shoulder.

Clipping along the track once more, among the tall pines and whistling avian, with pace just in case Mysa decided to chase him, Théo began to climb a steep incline. Just as he reached the top, Théo froze. His eyes widened and mouth opened, not believing what sight fell before his view. Then he dropped to the ground and turned on his back to find Mysa. She was not far away, and his widely indicated for her to hurry but be quiet. Waving his arms up and down to tell her to get down. When she neared he placed a finger to his lips yet another indicator for her to remain silent. When she lay beside him, he pointed over the top of the incline and rose to see the sight once more. "Wriggles you must see this", Théo dared to whisper as softly as he could.

When Mysa would look she would see a herd of grazing Vhaanir. Among them a young buck, with antlers shedding its velvet. This young buck, the very same that entered his mother and father's tent the eve of the battle of Midvinter.

[member="Mysa Snowstrider"]

"ewwww" she shuddered as he peeled away the fish guts and tossed them aside, her face scrunching up. How could this morning get any stranger? "That's not mine" she said, shaking her head quite firmly... Before giggling to herself at whatever thought had come to mind. "Maybe it was the man on the wagon's... It did take him an awfully long time to notice us..." Hurrying after [member="Théodred Heavenshield"] the little girl frowned a little. "I'm not wriggly, that'd be like calling me a worm. And I'm not." She sniffed before glaring at him. Not that she could hold it up for long, of course!

Rushing up the hill after him, not wanting to lose sight of where he was headed, the little girl frowned. She'd never had so much freedom before, never been able to just go off and explore, so she hadn't really gotten into the whole exercise thing. Thus it was tiring for her, and as they reached the top she sat in the snow and was about to sigh extremely heavily when Théo settled a finger to his lips to tell her to keep quiet. Curious the child crawled toward him and peered in the direction he hinted at.

And then she saw it, the herd of most precious animals. It was like looking at the Gods... Reaching into one of her pockets the girl was relieved to find Éar and she clung onto him. Oh this was a most miraculous day!

He could not take his eyes of them, as two small head popped up to look the herd grazing. He did not dare to speak for fear of spooking them, but something about the herd, in particular, the young male, compelled him to go, to get closer. At this moment, the young male raised his head and turned in their direction, nostrils flaring to take in their scent and search for danger, ears twitching to capture any sound. And yet he did not move, or pull the herd away to a safe place, but instead, lowered his head to graze once more. Théo pushed off the ground with his hands and sat upon the edge. Now he turned to Mysa, and encouraged her to do the same.

Inch by inch, Théo moved slowly down the side of the hill on his rump until within a safe distance to see them more clear and not spook them. Some of the younger Vhaanir, looked at them with curious eyes, their mothers a little more guarded, but the young male Vhaanir remained. As the two children sat watching, Théo turned to Mysa and smiled, his hand reaching for her's and held it gently, this is a moment neither of them will forget and they share it for a life time. A rare show of affection for his sister.

But as he turned back to watch them once more, Théo gasped. For standing right in front of him and Mysa is the young male, standing there regarding them both, before the young buck moved forward still and nuzzled Théo's hand. Théo's heart is pounding, not out of any fear or sense of danger, but the opposite. As their eyes locked, a strange connection is formed, Théo had no understanding as to why, had not understanding that his buck was the portent of his conception the night of the battle. And so he and this young male, are one is spirit.

He stood up slowly, his hand still on the nose of Vhaanir, trembling. But he found the courage to allow his hand to glide down the Vhaanir's neck, he looked at Mysa and through his eyes, he encouraged her to do the same.
[member="Mysa Snowstrider"]

As Théo slowly inched forward Mysa followed suit, trying to be as light as she could be against the snow so as not to disturb the herd. She could tell that her little brother was in just as much awe as she, he was being careful and quiet. She shuffled down the hill alongside him, almost slipping as a far fluffier patch was kicked aside by her boot. Oops. Thankfully the Vhaanir were not disturbed.

She held his hand lightly when he reached for hers and kept her gaze ahead. He would never admit to this show of compassion and love toward his sibling, she knew, and deep down she realised that this was something for just the two of them to share. Private. She would not aim to reveal the intricacies of their little trip even to Coci and Thurion... Although there was no way for the adults to not realise they had gone out exploring at the crack of dawn given the disgusting stench they both gave off!

Suddenly the young buck was right there. Right in Théo's face, and it took all of her will not to pull the little boy away and to safety. Aside from the initial gasp though her brother was unafraid. It was as if he knew the buck on a personal level, and when it nuzzled against Théo's hand she knew that they were safe indeed!

The boy arose without spooking anything, his hand gliding along the thick coat of the animal. Mysa - trembling, for was she not in the presence of a most Godly thing? - rose too and cautiously moved her hand out toward it. She had seen a Vhaanir once before, the first time she had ever come to Midvinter when Thrand was her Guardian and the Heavenshields had yet to come for her. But never so close. And never had she dared to touch one. It was breathtaking.

[member="Théodred Heavenshield"]

The time spent with the Vhaanir was extraordinary, nothing short of it. As Mysa's hand graced the young buck's coat, it turned to her and stepped forward a little to nuzzle at the hand which as still holding Éar within her pocket. Somehow the Vhaanir knew! Seemed to know all about the two children, had to be the workings of a God? They would never really know of course, but the imagination of both children would see the moment live forever.

Without warning the young buck turned and walked back to his herd, on approach he called to them with a gentle grunt and they began to move away into the forest. Théo watched still in awe of what just happened, let alone given the privilege of witnessing such a sight. In this moment he turned to Mysa and smiled, noticing her expression and delighting in it, she was just as awe inspired as he.

By the time he turned back to watch them, the last of the Vhaanir disappeared into the forest. He said nothing to Mysa, but his actions would tell her his intentions. He began to follow them, running down the side of the incline and onto the grazing area. He could see the foot prints in the snow, which he followed, however the Vhaanir are fleet of foot and no matter how fast he ran, he could not catch up with them.

"Mysa! come on!", he dared to yell over his shoulder. Running faster and faster, sometimes falling in the snow only to get up once more to continue, they simply vanished, as did their track in the virgin snow. Finally, Théo gave up and stopped panting hard, his hot breath forming in the air, and cheeks rosy with the biting cold.

When Mysa reached him, "They are gone", he said softly, "Vanished into thin air". And then the most extraordinary thing happened! Théo turned and hugged his sister and laughed with the thrill of the moment.

After some time, Théo pulled back, his hands resting on her shoulders. "I guess we had better go home", he did not really want to, but it was starting to get late and mother and father would soon begin to worry.
[member="Mysa Snowstrider"]

Mysa had finally lowered her hand to touch the Vhaanir; she petted along its brow and was simply mesmerized by the whole experience. Tears welled in her eyes, though she couldn't fully comprehend the euphoria she was feeling. Her little lips even wobbled though she did her best to contain the emotion. She said nothing, because nothing needed to be said, however she did reach back out to take Theo's hand and gave it a tight squeeze. This would bring them together, give them a special kindred connection the likes of which they could never explain to another. Because there were no words which could explain it.

She stepped back as the young buck wandered off back to his herd, and Mysa took the hand which had been petting it and wiped away at her eyes. The moment Theo set off Mysa was hot on his tail, he didn't even really have to call back for her though she was glad he did, because it was difficult to keep track of him by sight alone, since he was ducking and weaving between trees. She was nothing short of exhausted by the time they finally halted, numb with the realisation that the herd had disappeared. But the memory would always remain etched within her mind.

"I'm amazed we even saw them at all" she said, the shock evident within her tone. Mysa may not have been a Valkyri, but she had taken to their culture as naturally as the urge to breathe, and Ear was her most beloved God. To see a Vhaanir, which was to the child who still had her figurine the most sacred embodiment of the Goddess, was the greatest honor she could ever have been given.

The moment Theo hugged her Mysa returned the embrace, not caring about the horrid stench of fish guts which emanated around them. And then it ended, and the pair realised just how late it had gotten. "Your parents will be very worried" she said, suddenly feeling guilty for leaving without a word, even if it had been with the best of intentions. "What do we tell them?"

The Road North
snow-path-1390069167fyj.jpg
A strong bay mare ploughed through the thick laden snow on the path north to the capital. Aerin, sits astride clad in thick fur with her hood pulled over her head, she is on her way to meet with the King and the leaders of the Clans, for talks about a threat coming from the north. Seems the Vinterbound are on the move once more and must be stopped before they bring destruction to the people of their fair Midvinter. She is the Hand to the King and so is needed to give her sword to fight once more. The shieldmaiden stopped her horse, and turned her head to the right, the force telling her of the presence of two, somewhere in the forest.

Throwing her leg over the head of the mare she dismounts and follows the path of the force, guided to two children standing together in an embrace. She looks on with a smile, but curious as to why two such children would be out in the forest so far from the wall of the capital.

"The truth would be the best to tell your parents", she broke the silence with her voice, and moved toward them. And so doing, she recognised the boy, "My Lord Heavenshield", she inclined her head in respect, "It is getting late and the coming night sees the animals of the darkness emerge, shall I escort you and your friend back to the Thainbroek?".

Her gazed turned to the girl, she has not seen her before but the force is strong within this one and since she is in the presence of the young prince, must be apart of the Heavenshields. "My Lady, if you wish we can ride back on my horse".

[member="Mysa Snowstrider"] | [member="Théodred Heavenshield"]

"I know", he replied "I can't believe that young buck came up to us", he whisphered. Over this time Mysa and Théo spent together, these few hours of adventure saw a connection form between them. Only they will have the knowledge of this experience, this wonder that graced them with their presence and no matter what the future may hold for the two children, they will always have this.

A sharp inhale of breath and Théo spun around as a voice broke their moment, he stood between whoever had intruded on them and Mysa, a natural reaction to protect those he loves, just like his father. Although he had not formally met the woman now standing by a tree, he knew of her. He had seen the Shieldmaiden in the Grand Hall along with his Grand Father, she is his friend and protector of the Realm. Théo bowed in return, still unsure how to react to such a title given to him. "Lady Firebrand, thank you, we need to get back home". In truth, Théo was in awe of her, knowing her position and Clan leader of one of the most famous on Midvinter.

But he would not accept until Mysa gives her approval. "Why are Valkyri always so tall?", he asked Mysa out the side of his mouth in a soft voice. Aerin Firebrand stands tall upon the dirt of this fair planet, her hair of fire and eyes filled with passion and only in her heart is the want for the glory of her beloved Midvinter. A pouring of the ground and snorting echoed through the woods, the mare impatient to move on. Théo looked over to the horse, standing ready and laden with a shield, bow and quiver, furs and packs for food, Aerin had come a long way on her journey, although ended soon on this day, would only begin again tomorrow.

"Shall we ride back?", he asked Mysa, with a smile on his face, the idea of entering Tháinbroek through the gates atop a war horse was the icing on the cake.
[member="Mysa Snowstrider"] | @And the Shieldmaiden

Mysa leapt out of her skin to the voice, and whirled on her feet to face whoever was there. At first the face was one she did not recognise, and so her instinct was to put Theo behind herself and growl protectively. "You stay away from my Brother!" she said, a little more forcefully than she probably ought to have given that the person was obviously an adult.

However as the snow cleared from her vision she realised it was one of Thrand's greatest warriors; she had seen her a long time ago, before Thurion had come to collect her, though they had never been in one another's presence. After all, Mysa had been a very timid little child back then.

Gulping she reached back for Theo's hand, her eyes wide.

Her little brother seemed okay with the situation, and when she peered at him excitement was lacing his expression. It was getting late, and cold, and she most certainly did not want Theo to get sick. So she nodded her head and stepped up to the woman. "Sorry for shouting" she muttered quietly, though she was not sorry for being protective. She had been around Theo since he was born, blood relation or not he was her brother. And she cared about him dearly.

[member="Ærin Firebrand"] [member="Théodred Heavenshield"]

"My Lady, it is I that should apologise to you, I arrived unannounced", Aerin smiled. "If you will, you can ride on my horse, she is kind so don't be frightened". The young mare is quiet when in Aerin's presence, on the battlefield she is her war horse, and full of the lust for the charge.

The young Heavenshield seemed to be willing to take up her offer and so Aerin placed him on the back of the mare. He was easy enough to lift considering Aerin possess the strength of four to five average male offworlders. The mare shifted with a new person on her back, Aerin held the reigns and placed a calming palm on the neck of the horse, a gentle whisper steadied the mare more.

"My Lady, would you like to try and mount the mare, I will hold her still for you". Aerin looked to the skies, her eyes reading the coming night. "It will snow tonight and it will be a heavy fall, I suggest we get a move on".

[member="Mysa Snowstrider"]

Théo grabbed hold the of saddle to stop himself from falling off the mare. It is high up atop the mare, and so he looked down to the ground. He could feel the power in the animal, all the muscles twisting and turning as the mare shifted with a stranger on her back. Like Théo is want to do, his mind began to envisage battles of greatness, Valkyri riding at charge upon a cavalry all armed with shields and swords raised high. He pretended he led the charge with the Shieldmaiden by his side firing arrows at his command. Totally lost in his day dreams, Théo only jolted out of them, when he heard the voice of Aerin once more.

He leaned to the side and reached out his hand for Wiggles to take so she could climb up, "Come Wiggles, give it a go!", she smiled down at her. "Then we ride to victory!" he added for good measure.

He caught a glimpse of Aerin grinning while she stroked the neck of the mare. "Lord Heavenshield will send the blighters back to hell". Théo began to laugh at his own silliness. And even more so when Aerin forecast snow. "It always snows on Midvinter".
[member="Mysa Snowstrider"] | @The Maiden

Mysa stared at the mare, tentatively stepping toward it with one hand outstretched the way she had with the Vhaanir. Her palm met the soft flank and she smiled timidly, before looking up at Aerin and Theo from where they were sat. It was quite high up! But it was getting dark and she was very cold, and she definitely did not want Theo to end up sick because she was too slow to decide. So with a nod of her head, Mysa stepped closer still.

The saddle was so ridiculously high, and Mysa was tiny, but she trusted the pair. So she did as her new namesake suggested, she lifted up her hands and pulled herself up toward the saddle using it for support, wiggling her bottom in the process to stop herself from falling. After a little bit of struggling, and a lot of gratitude toward how well behaved the horse was, Mysa finally made it on top, sat behind her brother.

"You're not a Lord" she said to Theo, sticking out her tongue playfully, "You're a little lord." Without warning she embraced him from behind, what a wonderful day they'd had thanks to his decision to go and explore. Of course, she wouldn't admit that she enjoyed it to anyone else, because she was supposed to be responsible!
