Private The Great Voyage

It had been a long time since the one otherwise known as Syd Celsius felt anything resembling joy. Her old life ashes. By her own hands.

The kiss reminded her of a more...simpler time. When she had an apprentice.

The kiss Zad Ruzed Zad Ruzed has given her helped her forget it...slightly... for a few moments anyway. The pain of watching who she cared for turn completely evil. The loss of her own identity to the point the current her was but a patchwork of other, slightly more fethed up personas huddled around a fat chunk of the original personality. Even her current face that Zad had kissed had come from the creature she merged with to survive. Even her current red hair was more crimson than her original fiery orange red locks.

Still, that kiss made her feel alive. The caress on her cheek made her feel desired for the first time in years.

As they kissed she telekinetically triggered the turrets outside and blasted those clone House Io troopers outside, as the kiss ended, feeling she turned to the door to the bridge, and hit the switch nearby to open it.

Surt'r's fighting style was vastly different from Lucretia. 'Lucre' was more of a kickboxer. Surt'r was more technical, employing joint locks, throws, and more knee and elbow based attacks on the fighters in question. She also seemed to be a half second slower than Lucretia, but her blows landed with far more devastating impact on the green skinned female warriors, sending them flying into walls and leaving impact craters. Her moves didn't even look all that flashy compared to Lucretia's athletic style. They were deceptively short range looking yet had a viciously efficient economy of movement.

As she weaved through her opponents, she kept controlling the turrets to blast problems such as those with repeaters aiming at Zad while he took care of his own share of foes in the hallway fight scene. Surt'r, still in Lucretia's silver catsuit, somehow still perfectly clinging like it was painted on gleamed in the chaos as her suit eerily reflected the bolts flying. It was unclear how the suit could still be skintight...Surt'r had a very different physical build in comparison to Lucretia. Surt'r was petite but curvy. Lucretia was curvy but with far more noticeable muscle, slightly thicker build, and taller to boot.

When there were no more organic opponents to face on her end, Surt'r whipped out Lucretia's weapons and started blasting the turrets.

"Okay, hot stuff, one hallway down, and one final teeny tiny trip to engineering to sabotage their efforts...and we can seize this ship AND drive them off! I got a plan! Learned this trick a long time ago. Engineers hate me!" she joked.

As they moved along, clearly in danger, Surt'r chatted casually as she disabled a elevator lockdown.

"Being Lucretia..." she mentioned. "It's like being underwater... except you can't drown...and you see out of her eyes like two tiny windows in a dark cave while being almost lethargic...I see and hear and feel everything, but its like its coming from very far away...and my thoughts, how I process things, morphs into how she would do both about halfway through their creation."

The Turbolift slid open and Surt'r stepped in, waiting for Zad to get in. Once he did, she pressed the button to engineering and the doors closed.

As they road down, Surt'r realized now was a golden opportunity to recharge herself. (Besides, it WAS technically Lucretia and Zad's date) She held out a hand and electricity from the control panel flowed up her arm and vanished, her entire body rippling like water as it absorbed more and more.

"One thing I'm sure you've caught onto though..." Surt'r said as her body rapidly warped and rearranged itself into Lucretia's body, along with her finely honed mind.

"...is that I enjoy being stared at..." Lucretia said in an openly lustful manner as she kissed Zad deeply.

"So stare away, my good Ranger..." Lucretia said quickly before kissing him again.

"Get yourself an eyeful..."

Whether a silver catsuit or a black suit, white hair or red, pink all over or the dream of a sprawled stoner trying to crawl his way toward a four leaf clover, whatever this was and whatever she was if not his lover, well, hell…it was this or nothing, her or nobody, and here was one man willing to go out guns blazing for these women when it came to these thugs waiting for them.

Boom. Boom. Boom. After the kiss which was as passionate as old souls could give, it was time to blast the turrets and the henchmen in between. They would own this moment and blast their enemies to smithereens. Bolts to skulls. Foes would die. Resistance to their mission was a lie. The truth was they would win.

Do. Done. Did.

So Zad Ruzed whipped like the wind and rained fire on his enemies. He sprayed. They prayed. Didn’t matter if they weren’t trembling. Maybe they simply had no time to react as bolts smacked into their skulls. If they fled, that meant their backs. Sad fact. But a Ranger who faced danger like this every day had to be cold.

With his sidekick’s assistance, Zad was able to focus on his targets without much interference from the turrets. He hugged a corner, facing down the hallway, zoning in, honing in, wait for it, rain the chorus and the instruments.

Surt’r moved, grace in her feet, in her swings, clearing a passage for Zad to advance. Bolts came for him. They missed. The next ones didn’t. Instead, they hit knees, hit chest. Courtesy of a dead body that served as the Ranger’s shield as he advanced further, planting his pistol over a cold shoulder to blast away. Dead guy was too dead to mind anyway.

“Engineers hate you, huh?” He replied in a tone of why-am-I-not-surprised? “That’s okay.” -BLAM!-BLAM!-BLAM!- “Everybody hates me anyway.” His enemies did and no mistake. Until they were too dead to live or for him to give a shit.

“Got you covered,” the man promised the woman as her hands danced at the elevator. Danger was this man’s best friend and worst enemy. So what does that make this lady? Surt’r was yet to be determined but what was certain were her eyes. Those eyes never lied no matter their color.

“Everything you say,” he expressed with genuine interest as he checked his weapons. “Windows. Cave. Underwater.” Lethargic was a word for it and then some. “Makes it sound like you live in a prison.”

In the lift, there was no distress on his countenance, however, no sadness. Instead, Zad Ruzed watched his accomplice shift again, when Surt’r became Lucretia, and this time he could hardly bat an eye. Open eyes far and wide.

When her lips pressed against his, he sighed. An eyeful became a mouthful as if to devour those lips as they kissed. Suddenly the turbolift they were in didn’t exist. Neither did this ship. It was just her and him. Just a man and a woman who stood tall in defiance to existence. Just a wall as Zad slammed her up against it and grabbed her hips and lifted her legs. Then kissed.

And kissed…

…And kissed.

When the elevator opened (The bowchickawowwow vibe at it's most intense) Lucretia was still making out with Zad before she regretfully had to stop so they could focus on staying alive once more.

They were in the engineering section. The House Io soldiers had been quick and efficient, slaughtering the whole deck and Lucretia knelt down by a corpse of one of the original crew, picking up a Model 7 Shotgun .

"Zad..." Lucretia said with a playful look.

"Let's rip and tear...until it is done!"

(Narrator: The BFG Division isn't real. It can't hurt you)

(The BFG Division: stares menacingly)

Lucretia burst through the diagnostic section of engineering, opening fire on the House Io soldiers like something straight out of Max Payne. She gunned four down in mid air, and then two more as she rose. She rushed to an emergency security console, saw the camera feeds.

"Yeah, that definitely got their attention!" Lucretia exclaimed, rapidly slicing into the console and activating certain consoles that would impede their progress for a moment.

"Okay Zad, go fast, blast and anything that looks funny at you, shoot!" Lucretia said as she headed forward on the route to the power core, blasting more of the green lady clone soldiers as they tried to fire at her. But she moved like grease lightning as she fired back, hitting them with frightful aim. But while she definitely had her hands full, they had no intention of letting up on Zad Ruzed Zad Ruzed either, firing rifles, and some even trying to close the distance with repeaters from another route in engineering, utterly bent on killing...

When the elevator doors opened, Lucre was still pinned against the wall, held up by Zad’s hands in a firm grip with her lips pressed against his. It was just them in that lift, just four walls, but then reality called and the galaxy opened back up. The moment passed. That was that. Do. Done. Did.

That was fine. There would be time to play later with some lounging around and pounding to town. For now, they had to work first. Then again, when that scatterblaster was picked up, and the way Lucre looked at him, was there much of a difference between one and the other?

He was a Sector Ranger, a member of law enforcement, had a badge to go with it, a blaster to show it. That said, ever since he was a kid and held his first pistol he knew what kind of a guy he would be in life. He would play by the book. Take them in or into the grave. Hook ‘em, book ‘em, cook ‘em. He’d just make sure to add his own notes to the pages.

He was glad she felt the same way.

“Lead the way, Lucre,” Zad beckoned, finding his own weapon. He did like his pistol but, for what was to come, this should do the trick and then some. “It’s time to kick ass and chew bubblegum.” He didn’t have any gum but he had plenty of ass.

As that ass rushed ahead of him, he hung back for a moment, letting her do the work. He hugged a corner out in the corridor, and observed. She was quick and neat as ever, wickedly sleek, and he was happy to be her backup at the moment.

Go fast and blast. Zad sucked air between his teeth, listening to his heartbeat. It wasn’t fear. It was adrenaline. It was excitement. To deny how much he liked to fight would make him a liar.

“Catch you bastards at a bad time!?” The Ranger called as he popped out and said hi to them all with his heavy rotary blaster.

-PHWOM!-PHWOM!-PHWOM!-PHWOM!-PHWOM!-PHWOM!-PHWOM!-PHWOM!-PHWOM!-PHWOM!-PHWOM!-PHWOM!-

Go fast.
A number of his targets were lined up only to be broken down like dominoes. Reports of a pistol-toting shooter in the ship did nothing to prepare them for this. Standing exposed, it was the power and speed of his blaster that kept Zad from being hit. Then he caught wind of others closing in from another direction to flank him.

C’mon in. He spun around, fired off some rounds, then slammed his back up behind a container to take cover. There was a body beside him, courtesy of the Ranger. While he knew better to throw an explosive grenade in engineering a stun grenade could create a different clearing.

“HEADS UP!” At that, Zad threw an object, gave his opponents a moment to duck. Unfortunately for them, a piece of debris wasn’t much. Then the grenade came.

And blast. Disoriented by the sonic and the flash of light, he only needed that moment. He sprayed bolts their way, pacing toward them, shattering bodies and brains, cracking helmets, as some emerged from cover and looked at him the wrong way.
