Listening to [member="Jakkor Kess"], Tugoro could not help but nod, figuring that his plan was sound enough. The young Knight himself did not desire to bring the holocron to the Order, or even touch it for that matter, but he would if need be. However, the Tusken's complete change of heart was somewhat suspicious. Nevertheless, Tugoro sensed no ill intent from the man or his gang, so he had no other choice than to agree. Were these people time travellers of some sort? [member="Orion Trex"] spoke of meeting Sidious, which honestly sounded completely insane. Then again, it appeared as if the man had not been hesitant in the least to agree with the Jedi, which said something about his experience.
"I'm glad you've seen reason," the young man spoke to Jakkor, his neck slowly turning to look towards the expansive gated off courtyard out front of the Palpatine estate. He would then turn, motioning towards his squad before they assembled at the gate entrance, pushing it open and rushing within. The place was abandoned and filthy: leaves, litter, and erosion having taken over what was previously a sight to behold. Tall but dying hedges loomed in rows lining the paved paths, statues and drained fountains alike having crumbled under the pressure of time. Roughly one hundred yards in the distance was the palace itself, which appeared to have survived over the hundreds of years. After the Emperor's reign, you'd think it might have been destroyed by rebellious citizens, and so the Jedi decided that there was obviously more to this place then he had originally thought. The soldiers would begin to spread out, combing the area in hopes of finding that all was clear.
Private Thakk had grown up in a militaristic family, having been trained from his youth in the ways of warfare. The man was twenty years of age, not much younger than Tugoro himself. He had been recruited into Strike Squad by the leader, Rogvon Carock. Lifting and pointing his blaster around one of the hedge corners, Thakk exhaled, relieved that there was nothing to be seen. "Area secure," he spoke softly within his helmet, a transmission being shared with the other troops that had fanned out as well. They echoed his words as the patrol continuing, sending a signal to their Jedi commander who currently knelt down beside the dead body of an unidentified dark sider.
Pulling back the hood which concealed his contorted features, Tugoro's expression would shift visibly. It was the man involved in a missing persons case, Baron Brokk. He had come to the planet expressing interest in claiming abandoned properties previously owned by Palpatine, only to disappear a month later. Noticing the flashing light on his wrist mounted communicator, the Jedi Knight would stand to his full height, turning immediately to head towards the courtyard. His walking pace quickened into a full sprint. If everything was going as planned, then why could he only sense death?
The last thing Private Thakk heard was the impact of a metallic object against his helmet, before his head severed from his body and rolled on to the ground. The deadly sharp decapitating disk would continue on it's course, slicing clean through the shrubs in order to eliminate two other soldiers nearby. The jumpsuit under the troopers armour was no match for the speeding projectile, slitting ones throat before finally burying itself in the head of another. Three vital signs were lost in under three seconds, causing group to plunge into a panic, opening fire at the random. The sun had begun to set in the distance, casting shadows over the area that no doubt fuelled the soldiers fear. From them dark figures emerged moving with astounding agility, the generators within their metallic blades activating as they cut effortlessly through armour and flesh.
The soldiers began to retreat, firing relentlessly at the shadows that murdered their comrades without a hint of remorse. Rogvon, Viktor, and Mahrik were just three of the remaining four soldiers, who had been a bit more composed than the others. The fear clouding their minds vanished as they fought back, realising that some humanoid shadows had gone down, revealing their true nature to anyone that was versed well in history. The
Maladians. Arriving at the entrance, Tugoro ran within, his speed enhanced as the force flowed through him. The soldiers had already began to fall back, making it easy for the Jedi to slide passed them, his arms lifting as he aimed to intervene with the assailants that were quickly surrounding the group.
Stretching his arms outward as much as they could, Tugoro would release a burst of force energy, creating a widespread barrier that would do little more than push the assassins backwards. They took the impact un-phased, some flipping backwards only to land on their feet once more, while others
almost lost their footing while sliding back. Force sensitive or not, these opponents were no joke, and Tugoro knew it just from the brief observation of how they handled his power. There were three black clothed individuals that were visible, all wielding vibro-blades, while decapitator disks waited within their bandoliers. Blaster rifles rose immediately, the Republic soldiers pointing their barrels at the assassins, eager to end their lives. Their line of sight was block however, as Tugoro moved in their way.
"Recover any survivors if you can. I will hold them here," he ordered, lowering a hand to the shining hilt of the lightsaber that hung from his belt. The blue glow of the beam mixed with the red of the setting sun, casting a purplish haze over the immediate area. Stepping forward, Tugoro would begin to circle around his opponents, causing them to spread out slightly, their eyes trained keenly on the Jedi before them. Their minds were sharp, body's built to move swiftly even against a force user of high rank. This would not end quickly, Tugoro would require assistance if he hoped to survive the encounter.
