"I doubt that even if I were an engineer and knew the Proton propulsion system used by the Lucreehulk, I would be able to deactivate the engine with my light saber… at least not and be able to leave with you." He shuttered as he imagined superheated plasma blasting out of a gash in the engine and vaporizing him and anything else unshielded in the engine room. He knew she was grasping at straws and probably realized the futility of that idea, but, Philip did plan to fly away from this trap when they solved the mystery this ship was hiding.
Philip arched a brow at Juliette’s chosen method of communication. He assumed, as she worked with jedi, that she knew she couldn’t communicate via telepathy even as just a receiver. Philip knew he could force images into her mind, probably well enough to communicate some basic concepts, but, it wouldn’t be a pleasant experience for her and would probably make her very, very unhappy with him. However, what he planned to do wouldn’t facilitate them writing messages on the wall… because she wouldn’t be with him.
He fogged a portion of the wall and wrote…
Comm units off net… direct link for local comm
He took out his comm unit and made the setting changes then searched for her device as a local connection. When she made similar adjustments to her unit, he typed.
Are we linked? Good.
Probably at least three bridges – this one being the main,
a second one a secondary in the bulk of the ship, and a third in the engine room.
The control actions we are seeing are probably being input from one of the other bridges.
You need to check out some of these control stations.
There should be one that enables the separation of the control core from the remainder of the ship.
If we find it and can learn the controls, we can separate, move away and shut everything down,
then hopefully fly our ships out of here.
Now I need to make a reconnaissance trip deeper inside to try and see what we are up against.
I don’t want us to separate but I can conceal myself better alone.
Thoughts.
Philip didn’t see a better plan at the moment but he wanted to be sure she was OK with it and didn’t have any other ideas.
