Faction The Haunting of X18643Q (Silver Jedi and Allies)

As the Silver Concord was working on expanding itself, taking in more worlds, to bring them in from the cold and offer protection, all t he while cataloguing many different settlements and the history. Finding the past, some were stating, was important to know the future, and to prepare for any contingiencies they would need. With the Bryn coming forward, the Jedi were reaching out to several other groups, from Witches to Yuuzhan Vong and other fringe groups, at the direction of the new Grandmaster. But there were a variety of teams being sent out to see what they could find out about the old galaxy.

Brooke Waters, a member of the Blue Coral Divers Clan, and an assistant at the Kattadan Jedi Temple was one of the team members heading off to Moon X18643Q. The moon was a forested moon out on the rim of the Concord’s space. Several forces had used it to move material through, from Jedi, to the Empire, and followed up by the Yuuzhan Vong. Jedi Masters from the Order of the Silver Jedi were sending teams to help research to help catalogue what they could find on the worlds.

The team heading to X18643Q, calling the moon ‘Exteen’ had started clearing out part of old Jedi temple, going through the Vong relics, the Sith and the Jedi relics. What they didn’t realize was how close to the surface the worlds, from the netherworld to the material world.

Brooke, sitting by one of the fire’s under one of the Silver Jedi Concord shuttles, and near the Yorik Coral transport that brought Shaper Shay Nie and her team to the world. Brooke, a Witch and Jedi was working with some of the Shapers. And she had her box of relics at her feet. Opening the box, the wind seemed to kick up as the witch looked around. Pulling out one of the jars, she could feel a cold chill, this was a Sith relic, but she wasn’t sure what was in it.

“What did you say Nie?”

The Yuuzhan Vong looked at Brooke and those gathered. “Me? No… nothing…”

At that Brooke continued to look around, at the others, wondering if anyone else heard.

Spooky thread!
Vong Relics!
Sith Relics!
Jedi Relics!

The dead are not at peace, please assist them!

Ura sat a ways away from the fire, uncomfortably shifting her mass around. She didn't feel safe on this weird moon. She looked back at the others, her glowing eyes being the most notable feature of her appearance right now. She closed her eyes for a second, speaking up. "It wasn't me, but I'm going to explore. And please no one try to tell me it's not safe...." The Lervon would get up, looking around before starting to walk off. She wanted to see what was out there, and it honestly wasn't like anything could hunt her. She was like sand after all.

Phalsi had traveled inward, deeper into the temple. Curiosity pert near killing her as the mask set about it's night vision capability to combat the darkness inside that had yet to be beaten back by foreign light sources. Plain robes and her lightsabers were about her aside from the mask she wore. Though it was plainly obvious by now who was behind the mask given her return to the Silvers.

She followed a dusty hallway down a ways. The offshoot from the normal path ending in what seemed to be living quarters maybe? It was hard to tell without knowing the immediate layout by heart. Even with the information that was provided by the heads up display in her helmet, she hadn't seen this particular corridor on the way in being marked.

She left a bright and reflective mark on the entry wall with a holographic marker as she passed inside the area, silver of course in color. Her hands reached out and brushed the two person wide area on the right side, leaving a trail in the dust that had gathered. A thrumming caught her attention as she looked around to identify the source, only to find herself pulled further in.

Came to Exteen in: The Scorched Earth

Two hours earlier...

Syd was positively giddy with excitement as she landed her heavily armed Star Courier at the landing site Laertia had designated just outside the Silver Rest. So much had changed within Syd emotionally when Laertia had asked to be kissed by her.

She could feel their bond getting stronger since that wonderful moment on Onderon.

She could feel her tentative lover's anticipation of her as the landing struts extended and the ship set down, and the hatch opened.

Laertia was instantly teleporting aboard with her gear in a large case she was carrying. Laertia was in her favorite blue denim dress.

Laertia's beauty was the beauty of well cut marble, pale as tombstone. It had entranced Syd since Golbah City. Her scarred, yet still beautiful face was now permanently burned into Syd's brain just like their first kiss was frozen in time for Laertia.

Dark gray eyes, one real, the other cybernetic, zeroed on Syd, a smile slowly spreading on Laertia's face.

Syd was over to her in an instant, cupping her face and kissing her. Laertia ran a hand through Syd's red hair softly.

"You look great..." Syd whispered...

"Saymez wyth yooz..." Laertia trailed softly, butterflies in her stomach every time she was around Syd now. She kissed her again. It lingered between the two, threatening to become more intense before Syd pulled away, slightly, smile wider.

"So wutz dhis abboutz Arkeologee?" Laertia inquired.

"We're going to Exteen...its a small moon full of Jedi and Sith Relics. We are going to spend most of our day categorizing whether or not it gets put in nullification resin. Explore a little..." Syd replied, entwining her fingers with Laertia's, the pale Jedi's muscular figure reflected in Syd's skintight chromium Gold and Blue enchanted armor.

"Maybe get an ice cream..."

Laertia giggled a bit with Syd and quickly both began to prepare for takeoff.

Present.

Both stepped off the ship fully equipped, Laertia's heavy black Armor contrasting Syd's golden catsuit. Syd felt the supernatural cold at the center of the silvery lightsaber spear that was slung over her back in a sheath. How it contrasted with the flames in the crystals powering her Split-Saber.

The pair began to walk to the temple, some distance kept apart, but telepathic wise, their fingers were touching.

Syd could already see work well underway and pointed to a chamber that was still being cleared of Relics.

Academic excitement that Laertia felt with a smile crossed Syd's features.

"There's so much to catalogue..." Syd whispered in wonderous joy that began to infect Laertia as they both walked in and Syd began to give a crash course to Laertia on how to classify certain objects...

Something was out there, Brooke and some of the others could feel it. Down below there were the ruins, and the wind was blowing. The team had a number of crates but the Witches, including Brooke and one of the older Jedi Masters were making it so that nothing was getting on the ships without passing through any inspection. The artifacts here could cause a lot of trouble for the students, both at Kashyyyk’s Silver Rest and Kattada’s Exploration Corp center, where the relics may go for intact and research.

Darkness… Brooke could hear through the wind.

Discordia awaits…

The blonde was looking around, she had seen Ura there for a moment and nodded. She bit her lip and her hand went around her necklace, it felt warm to the touch, something telling her that the Force was stronger here. “Nie… I don’t know what it is, but it is in the Force… You think there could be history between the Ossus Project and the Vong? There seem to be markings in the temple about what was done here.”

“That the Sith came and interrupted it?” The Shaper asked. “They slaughtered the Jedi and Vong peacekeeping moves. I’m unsure if the Vong meet the netherworld of the Force. We have our own end of life process, but it doesn’t lead to an afterworld, its in the Cortexes, at times. Maybe there is a message in the ruins.” Nie stood as Brooke nodded and got to her feet.

“Master, we are going to go back in…” She told the Sullustan Master.

Despite often considering herself a free agent and often more concerned with her work than politics and Jedi business, Domino had kept her Silver Jedi Order membership card up to date. So to speak. Though now they were the Silver Jedi Concord for some reason. Bad branding that, at least the name was mostly the same as it had been so there was still the name recognition. Still, they were doing good work, certainly did more for the people inside their borders than most other groups around.

It was thoughts like these and others that swirled through Domino's head as she sat in a folding chair watching the flames of the campfire chase each other around. Idle things to keep her occupied as she sipped on her second beer of the night, enjoying the comfortable buzz softening the edges of the night. The former Sith had come along as protection and to give advice on artifacts recovered, but nothing had happened and they were all but done for the day as things wound down.

The wind blew through the camp, trying to lull her to sleep next to the too-warm fire as the expedition members' voices murmured about in the dusk. This place was great! Some of the Jedi were on edge, probably what was creating that undercurrent of nervous energy, which might have been setting them even more on edge. But she was just loving the relaxing chill, the place reminded her of a musky library, one with old paper tomes and not the digital entries you found in civilizations that had achieved spaceflight.

Then some of the Jedi decided to head back into the temple and Domino knew that she wouldn't be getting to bed early. They were like kids on Life Day Eve, too excited to settle down. Not that she could really blame them. Her first hunts had been terribly exciting too before she learned that there was more digging and cataloging than treasure and great knowledge. Besides, this place had a way of really pumping a person up if you let it.

Rising herself, Domino checked her belt to make sure her weapons were still sitting right and tightened the buckles on the armor under her jacket and bracers again. Then she circulated the flows of the Force throughout her body, detoxifying herself of the drink she'd just been enjoying. Nothing would be more embarrassing than tripping from being tipsy. "I'll come with." She'd been in the ruins before, circulating between groups and mostly keeping to herself as though she didn't quite feel like she belonged. Picking up a pack from where she'd dropped it next to her chair, she added it to her belt and buckled it around her thigh opposite her blaster, running a thumb along the saber sheathed horizontally along the back of her belt as she did. it was an unconscious action as she adjusted the weight of her belt and took steps to follow her self-appointed charges into the darkness.

Ura... honestly hadn't gotten that far before seeing something. She stopped. It was a massive shadow ahead of her. The Lervon looked, her mass shifting around before something snapped, and she darted back like a bat out of hell. She quickly ran behind Brooke, peeking out before looking in the distance.

"Th-th-there was something... b-b-big out.... It's coming!" She did more until... a small lizard walked out, licking its eye before eating a bug and leaving. "But.... It was.... It wasn't...." Ura just facepalmed herself, closing her eyes before looking at Brooke.

"Maybe I should stay with you guys...?" Even without emotion, the embarrassment she felt came through. She just hoped Brooke and Domino wouldn't tell the others.

She walked further into the hallway, the thrumming becoming a vibration that made her teeth almost chatter. A strange feeling given the silence that clung to the place like a chill on Hoth.

Her hands roamed the wall, a miniscule indent on the wall beside her causing her to focus on the detail. Her nightvision focused, outlining a thin cutout roughly the size of a door in the right wall. She turned to the opposite wall, seeing no such thing there before her hands brushed against the wall before her.

As her hands danced along the surface, the rattling of her teeth grew and then faded, giving her a small hint to the way to open what seemed to be a door. She pulled one hand away, slowly drawing the other to where the thrumming was loudest before pressing against the spot.

Nothing happened.

The thrumming continued, her brow drawing together as she reached out with the force to push against the spot. A latch sounded before she drew her hand back and watched. The door slid apart slowly, the dust coating it clinging to it still as it silently and softly withdrew into either side of the wall beside her.

The door was open, and the thrumming stopped. Glancing to the hallway behind her, she stared for a long moment, wondering if the dark shape had been her mind playing games or if some critter had snuck in behind her.

She shrugged, stepping into the room without a second thought.

While the rest had either stayed near the shuttle or entered the temple, Red and his excavation team had headed off into the forest, to locate the other wings of the temple. Seeing as how the forest was dark, no one had wanted the job of going through the forest, so of course Red had taken it when no one else did. He had split up from Subject 648 Slipknot Subject 648 Slipknot , with Slip having gone off into the temple. So it was Red and his squad given the task of searching through the dark forest. Bloody perfect.

He walked through the forest, casually holding his blaster rifle. His squad followed after him, keeping up with the supersoldier. Red had his helmet on, and the light on his helmet was on, allowing him to see into the dark crevice's of the forest wherever he looked. His squad had the similar thing going on, so now they had light going in all directions.

Red walked past a low, moss-covered wall. They were getting close. The vegetation was starting to lighten up, suggesting that this part was younger than the rest, most likely having been cleared out.

"Why does it always got to be us doing stuff like this?" One of his squad members, a Twi'lek complained, obviously getting irked at their terrible luck.

"Because no one else wanted to do this, so now it's up to us to go into the forest to locate the other wings." Red replied.

The Twi'lek sighed. "Yeah, but why is it always us?" He said.

Another squad member, one of the Yuuzhan Vong shapers, nodded. "Same here, we always get the worst jobs." She agreed.

"Listen: just because this is the least enjoyable task doesn't mean it isn't important. Perhaps this is a task none of the others can do. You ever think about that? No? Good, now shut up and keep on looking." He told them.

They thankfully went silent and continued on their path through the forest.

After a little bit, they came up on a big, run-down complex. Vegetation grew all over it, with moss and vines climbing up the walls. Multiple sections of the walls had collapsed, allowing the vegetation outside to creep in. The trees nearly completely covered the complex, which would explain how they had missed it from above. Shards of glass from the windows and viewports could be seen laying on the ground. This place had definitely been through the mill.

"This looks like the place." Red said as he approached the largest opening in the wall.

Then, suddenly, a large shadow form rushed past the opening from the other side of the wall. Red and the rest of his squad raised their weapons, ready to fire at it. But it had gone by so fast it was gone. In the blink of an eye, it had appeared and then disappeared.

"What the hell was that?" Their Quarren heavy gunner exclaimed.

"I'm not sure," Red replied, lowering his blaster rifle. "Whatever it was, it's gone now."

He pressed a button on his gauntlet and activated his commlink, signaling the others back near the temple. "This is Excavation Team Charlie, reporting in. We've found what appears to be the medical wing of the facility. We've spotted movement within the facility of unknown species. Clear to enter, over?" He asked.

All he got in response was static. Back near the temple, all the others would hear over their commlinks were, "static reporti- static medical w- static movement unknown static Clea-."

Red turned to the members in his squad. "Comms are busted, we're cut off from the main unit." He told them.

"So what do we do?" The Twi'lek asked.

"Isn't it obvious? We're going inside. We still have a mission to uphold." He told them. And with that, Red entered the facility.

Slip walked down the dark halls of the run-down temple, once again, how he got himself into this situation, and why he agreed to do it.

He asked himself this question a lot to be honest, and frankly, he didn't know. At least it was better than what Red had got, going into the dark forest. Still, a dark and eerie temple wasn't much better, but at least he wasn't surrounded on all sides by the darkness, at least Slip had walls to give him some mild comfort.

He had broken off from the rest of the group early on, being a part of the first group to enter the temple. Why? He had no idea, but all he knew was that he was deep in the temple, and probably completely lost.

The shadow man followed close behind, even he was getting the chills from this place. At least here he could speak with the shadow man without being looked at funny, as for the most part Slip was the only person that could see, feel, or touch the shadow man. That might be because he was probably a hallucination, but Slip was unsure of this. On rare occasions, other people could see, feel, and hear the shadow man, but very rarely. Whatever the case, Slip was just glad he wouldn't get looked at funny for talking with the shadow man.

Slip turned a corner. Wait... Hadn't he already been here? He was 60% certain. Fine, 55% certain. It looked familiar, but every hallway in this dark place looked so much alike, he couldn't really tell one corridor from the next.

The shadow man sighed. "We're hopelessly lost, aren't we?" He asked.

"No... Just... Getting my bearings, that's all." Slip replied. He hated how the shadow man knew him so well.

"Sure, right, you can't lie to me Slip." The shadow man said.

Slip gave a small sigh. "Fine, we're lost, I admit. Let's just try and figure out the way back, this place gives me the creeps."

Slip turned on his commlink, and was surprised when static started coming out. Well... That wasn't good. Comms were out. That could be... a very big problem.

"Hey! Can anyone hear me? It's Slip! We got lost! And comms are out! Is anyone able to hear me?" Slip shouted out, trying to call out to someone, anyone from the team.

He really hoped he wasn't too far lost.

There was definitely something that could be said about wondering the darkened halls of an abandoned temple, it sure played tricks on the mind. Shadows held gloomy shapes that faded before you could get a good look at them. Distant sounds echoed down the hallway, leaving one to question what made it. The wind whispered softly like a voice over your shoulder. All in all, this place was just a little bit spooky. And Milla loved it.

This entire place had strange feel to it. A combination of both light and dark, pulling and pushing against one another. Adding to the sense of adventure that drove her forward and deeper into the temple. The glow stick in her hand gave off the darkened halls and eerie green glow. Her bare feet padded softly on the hard floor, sounding much louder then they should have.

The atmosphere of unease made searching each room a little more exciting. Who knows what could be lurking in each room! Unfortunately, most every room had been filled with either old tomes and other artifacts or just old tech that was broken. Regardless, she had found a few artifacts that had caught her attention and stashed them in her backpack.

Raising her glow stick higher, she peered into a room to investigate its contents. Junk, mostly, or at least that's what it looked like at first glance. She didn't get a good look before she heard someone yelling from further down the hall. Slip? She remembered that name, and the one it belonged to. From what he was yelling, it seemed as if he really was lost.

Abandoning the room, she hurried down the hallway till she saw light from where Slip was. Lowering her glow stick, she came up from behind him. "What's with all the yelling?"

The temple just gave him an uneasy feeling in general, and of course he wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.

As soon as he figure out where the exit was.

Man he hated this place. Surrounded by all of this darkness, it was hard to tell which way was which in this dark labyrinth. The darkness would hide and obscure any markers and reference points that would allow Slip to figure out where he was. If only he wasn't so hopeless... Red would know exactly where he was and where to go. Slip was the complete opposite of Red. Well, most people weren't like Red. Red was too... intense.

Looking down the dark hallway, trying to make out anything that could be of use to him, he didn't notice the person coming up behind him until she was right on top of him.

"What's with all the yelling?"

"HOLY CHIT!" Slip exclaimed, jumping in the air and moving away from the source. He quickly whipped around, and saw the person that sneaked up on him. It was a girl, and one he knew. Milla was her name. He had seen and met her a couple of times, and every bloody time she managed to sneak up behind him and scare the living daylights out of him. She might be small, but she was surprisingly terrifying, with all of her sneaking around and ambushing Slip. Even the shadow man had been caught off guard by her, jumping back in surprise.

Slip leaned over, catching his breath. "Oh chit..." He breathed heavily. "Hey Milla..." He said to her, leaning against the wall. "You... You need to stop doing that." Slip told her. Honestly, this girl was going to be the death of him, if she kept on sneaking up on him like this.

"I'm... uh- I have no idea where we are. I'm completely lost. This place is too big, too dark, and has too many corridors." Slip admitted to her.

"Honestly, I haven't even found anything. You could search this place for weeks and never find anything. What about you? You find anything? And do you have any idea where we are?" He asked her.

At least he wasn't trapped alone in the dark anymore.

Milla really startled him this time, judging by how high he had jumped. She tilted her head to the side a little as she watched Slip catch his breath. The small smile that graced her lips was hidden by the darkness of the hallway.

She stepped up beside him and leaned against the wall. "I've found a few small things, but nothing to interesting." Her blue eyes scanned the hall before turning back to Slip. The building was big, she knew that, but she did have a way to keep from getting to lost. "I have an idea where we are. I've been leaving marks on walls, corners, door frames. Things like that to keep track of where I'm at. Trick I picked up when I was living on the streets."

Stepping away from the wall, she turned to face the teen. "So you really haven't found anything to interesting? Other than getting lost?"

Laertia watched in fascination at the complete change that overcame Syd as she examined the relics.

Laertia had come across many magical relics but had never understood how a tenth of them functioned. On that alone Syd Celsius Syd Celsius was an eye-opener. She had an innate understanding of how magic and The Force worked. It was similar to how Laertia naturally understood the Lightsaber and War in general. They complimented each other so perfectly it baffled The Black Knight at times.

"See this?" Syd asked, holding up an ancient Medallion. "Early Clone Wars. Jabiim."

"Nevuh beenz dhere..." Laertia admitted, examining her own relics. Even Syd didn't know as much about weapons as Laertia did, so Laertia had chosen to help identify some more ancient examples.

All the meanwhile she was hiding her own confusion internally. She had never dated anyone, and it was clear Syd hadn't either. Neither one of them had been exactly sure what people who dated did, other than spend time together. It was an act so outside their comfort zone they were fumbling around in the dark of it. Syd had suggested the most peaceful thing she could think of doing together.

Neither one of them knew all that much about the other beyond their adventures together. They had both been deliberately opaque on their backgrounds. They skirted around the issue. Avoided discussing it. There was only the now.

Laertia had reason to be ashamed. Since discovering her Master, Ursula, had secretly been The Amalgam The Amalgam all along, it had thrown her entire identity into doubt. All the killing of Sith. All her lethal ability, which she had been told would help make the Galaxy a safer place, had been built up by one of the most vile, most depraved Sith she had ever encountered, masquerading as a Jedi as some sort of sick gag, looking for someone to to mold into successors, getting fixated on her and Uri, introducing nigh-Sith like methods into their training, twisting it from within. Or trying to.

Laertia had wracked her brains over how she could have missed Ursula being a Shi'ido. Had she been so blinded by admiration and Love that she simply hadn't been capable of seeing the truth until The Amalgam literally spelled it out for her?

Laertia was now deeply worried about Uri, also known as Maple Harte Maple Harte . Laertia had barely withstood cracking at the revelation. Uri had been absolutely devastated. She had been in hiding the past few months. Laertia didn't know where to find her, and felt even more guilty for all the years she had been jealous of Uri getting the attention.

She felt like a fool.

I can feel your distress, Laertia...

Laertia was snapped from her reverie. Her feelings hadn't been as shielded as she had hoped. Syd's words were like velvet to her mind, instantly drawing her total attention in how soft they felt against her injured brain.

What troubles you?

Old memories...
she whispered telepathically.

Tell me of one. Syd mentally whispered back as she took notes on a particularly old stature, her gold and blue metallic catsuit contrasting with Laertia's armor plating as they sat next to each other cataloguing every relic they could get their hands on.

Laertia stalled a moment. She couldn't tell her about Ursula. How she had idolized her, cherished her presence, only to have her heart shattered by it all being a lie.

She LIKED how Syd looked at her. She refused to ruin it.

It was momentary...I don't want to sour the mood. I rarely have pleasantries like this.

You can't sour the mood by letting me understand you a little better. I 'want' to get to know you better. How about I tell you an unpleasant memory of mine?

Laertia thought about it a moment

Alright...she responded.

Dusting off a statue to read the inscription, Syd began a small tale...

I was still pretty early in my career. I was learning to control my power in an outdoor training session. I accidentally burned this beautiful tree down. But that was not my worst mistake. There was a bird nest. The Parents and the Egg had died in the fire also. At the time I...I wasn't able to fully appreciate what I had done, only that it was an error. I ended up burning my way through plenty of forests since then, but after my...my initial...'retirement'...I ended up thinking about that tree and those dead birds alot, and the worst part about it is none of the other trees I've burned down, which I'm sure had plenty of wildlife...ever hit me as hard as that first time. I had my first nightmares over them when I became what I am now. I hate remembering it so vividly...

Laertia felt something hit home with this. She inspected an ancient Vibrosword with an Ostrine edge. She felt like she was being watched by something in the walls.

Where I learned to survive, on Nar Shaddaa, I killed just to stay alive. One of my worst memories was when I was 007, and I had been cornered by this thug. I don't remember what for. Next thing I know my knife is in his eye. He had a necklace. A locket that showed his father and him. I didn't sleep for two weeks. I never look too closely at the people I killed afterward. So I can't remember their faces too clearly.

We both have a lot of baggage.
Syd whispered in her head, her mental voice coiling through Laertia's spine, sending a wave of warmth through it.

Laertia wanted to surrender to that voice, how it soothed her, massaged her brain with the warmth from her spirit.

Plus, as Laertia was very slowly starting to figure out the longer she indulged her attraction to Syd, the skintight metallic catsuit absolutely helped. Laertia would have never had the courage to wear something like that.

I have worse memories...the Black Knight warned.

So do I. Very bad ones.

Laertia's mental fingers reached out to Syd's. Syd's warmth crawled around in Laertia like a prowling cat as they continued examining objects.

Laertia stopped suddenly, sensed another presence nearby, that of Phalsi Drynchen Phalsi Drynchen and stood up, as there was something else. A strange something.

Syd felt it too. Both stood up and left the chamber, telling the other Jedi staff working to stay where they were. She didn't know what the strange something was but it was close to the other. But it could not be pinpointed.

Laertia moved ahead of Syd, found the strange hall and door she had gone through and went into it, and Laertia went still when she spotted Phalsi.

(Terminated by Junkie XL Plays)

Laertia stumbled back, not sure whether her hand should go to her weapon, because Phalsi bore such a strong resemblance to the appearance The Amalgam The Amalgam so often assumed. Laertia managed to stop herself, realizing she must have looked absolutely unfriendly in the black Armor, and held up her hand, just as Syd Celsius Syd Celsius arrived behind them.

"Laertia?" Syd asked, face crinkling in concern. "What's wrong?"

"Nuthinz..." Laertia answered, barely preventing an anxiety attack as she stared at Phalsi.

"Sorreez tuh duhsturbz yooz, but wee felltz sumthinz straynge moovingz arounndz. Diddz yooz seez annytingz?" Laertia asked softly, trying to look non threatening in spite of the heavy armor. She should have taken the De Lifte crystal with her, but she never liked to go to these places without at least class three body armor. Lethal accidents occurred in these places. Or intent.

"I'm Syd Celsius. This is Laertia. Nice to meet you." Syd said politely. "Something strange is moving around...I felt like something was behind me just now..."

As it stood seemingly for quite some time since he could recall that last he found himself to be in the company or engage in anything for the Order. For the most part, felt as if it had been all but felt been a lifetime ago as time along with the cacophony of thoughts as much doubt filled his mind every waking hour. Drawing him to be somewhat distant as it were absent for the most part though from time to time he seems kept some faint presence as much it been contact with some in the order.

That when the call came out for pilots to assist in a supply drop to a seem unfamiliar location to him called Moon X18643Q. He sort of found himself sign up and before he knew it was sitting off to one side of the clearing just off the side of the camp. While the contents of the ship he came in were having its cargo unloaded as well going thru some scrutiny as much security. That he couldn't quite shake off the lingering thought in the back of his mind of how oddly strange as much it was unsettling the place were. Something which he could only then not quite place nor shake ever since or before he landed. At which time with the whole process appear to take longer than he anticipated nor predicted.

He then found himself draw to take a walk-off to the side of the camp toward what seems to be some strange clearing. Where in once he drew close to couldn't help swear the uneasiness amplify rather than dissipate.

Caedyn Arenais had arrived a little later than the rest of the team from the Kattada Temple, however he had recently signed on to assist Coren Starchaser Coren Starchaser with his efforts in explorative and recovery operations with regards to Force Imbued relics and old Artifacts of the Sith and Jedi Orders of the past.

Nowadays there seemed no shortage of things that needed doing, between Commenor and Kashyyyk, Caedyn had been darting about from world to world within Silver Space with credit to "The Vagabond" Heavy Patrol Cruiser which was assigned to border patrol since it's commission.

Today the Heavy Cruiser awaited in Orbit over the forest Moon, there to offer supplies to the rest of the team or to otherwise provide the Jedi Knight and any others who wished to join him a way back home.

"Probably the voices in your head" Caedyn spoke up as he returned to the area where the others were gathered, smiling as he lightly teased their Silver Spellweaver. Naturally the Jedi Knight didn't think anything of it, scary night-time stories aside, their surroundings seemed like your typical moon with the pleasure of nature covering it, unlike the desolate rocks that most were.

Slip watched as Milla leaned against the wall next to him and responded to his question. So, like Slip, she hadn't found much either. He wondered if the others were fairing any better in terms of the search. "I thought I had found something, but turns out it was a rat the size of a Jawa crawling around on all fours." He told her. He had hated that thing, it was huge. He had run away from it for a solid 2 minutes before he remembered who was the one with a lightsaber and the Force. Not his greatest moment, but that secret would die with him and the shadow man. Hopefully.

"I have an idea where we are. I've been leaving marks on walls, corners, door frames. Things like that to keep track of where I'm at. Trick I picked up when I was living on the streets."

Slip nodded, and on the inside he was secretly hating himself. Why didn't he think of that? He was the one trained to survive in any survival situation after all. The Experiments had done a lot of survival situation training scenarios. And here he was, getting bested by a girl younger than him and was apparently from the streets. Milla must have been pretty tough to survive on her own, Slip could respect that. Though he did have the secret fear that she was going to steal his stuff. But that was explainable, Milla was too good at sneaking up on him.

Slip sighed. "Why didn't I think of that? Seriously, why didn't I think of it?" He asked, turning to the shadow man, who only gave Slip a simple shrug.

"You're never any help, you know that?" Slip told him.

"As you've told me multiple times already." The shadow man responded.

Then, Slip remembered Milla. Right... She couldn't see or even hear the shadow man, no less understand what was going on. To her, Slip would appear to be staring intently at and holding a conversation with the wall in front of them. Slip turned back to her.

"Right, er- sorry," He apologized to her. "I was just talking too... my hallucination. Don't worry about it, this happens all the time." He assured her. " I mean, um... Not that it happens all the time, per say, just most of the time!" He continued, getting more and more flustered. "I mean- You know what I'm just going to stop talking now why am I still talking I shouldn't be talking and now I'm rambling shutting up now!" He said, talking faster and faster, before stopping himself abruptly. Nice going Slip, you just scared one of the few people that treated you like a person.

"So you really haven't found anything to interesting? Other than getting lost?"

Slip watched as the pushed off from the wall and turned back to him. He thought about it for a second. "You mean other than giant rats? I thought I say something at the end of a hall, but then I went to look for it, it was gone. Sometimes I hear what sounds like a whisper or someone breathing behind me, but when I turn around there is no one there. Other than that it's fine." He told her calmly.

This might spook other people, but not Slip. His own brain constantly tried to lie to him and make him see and hear and feel things that aren't real, so it was probably just another hallucination, probably.

"So... what now?" He asked her, tilting his head slightly.

Milla let out a small laugh when Slip mentioned the rat. "I heard a couple smaller ones, but none that size."

She raised an eyebrow when Slip started talking to himself, or the wall, or...something. He seemed to almost forget she was there for a moment. The flustered apology right after made her giggle some. He was kind of an odd teen, but then again she wasn't that normal either.

When he explained that he thought he was hearing and seeing things other than the rats, Milla paused. Honestly, she had been experiencing the same thing. Most of it she blamed on her imagination, or the fact that this place was strong in the force and could make it seem like something was there. A residual decay of an artifact, or a strong emotion in a single area. Her attention went back to the other teen when he asked what now. "We could head back to camp or explore some more. Honestly, I haven't found much of interest."

It was at that time as he walked further off away where he felt drawn to into the Temple ground that from the corner of his eye could swear saw or more like felt movement which no sooner faded as he turns to glance over towards its direction. And instead, appear to be nothing more than either the wind or perhaps his imagination that no sooner seem to be easily dismissed. As he turns around to instead make his way back to the landing pad whereas best he surmises or more like hope. The ship should be clear as much emptied of its cargo that he could perhaps depart from this place. But alas as he was near the bend his foot felt the ground beneath give way and that before he knew it. He was free-falling into some seem ancient trap door of sort and strait into a steep incline path lead deep within the ancient temple. Hit his head onto something hard as he rolled further down deeper into the Temple. All the while caused him to curse under his breath as the darkness seem to swallow him whole into some deeper part of the old temple.

And that soon enough before he knew it he'd finally reach the end of his free fall as his back hit hard upon something hard. Which soon after the dust settled and he was able to make it back to dust himself. His eye slowly tries hard to adjust in the partial darkness of the room he ended up that he began to try to get back onto his feet that it hit him. The unmistaken sear pain onto his side indicates some possible injury incurred during his fall. That force him back to seat himself down with his back against the wall while in the distance he could hear ..... footfalls along with voices. Of what he assumed be hopefully the other Jedi task in investigating this place.....

As she spoke to the Master, the Jedi Sullustan was in charge here but Brooke was helping with her own concepts. She was a Witch and that gave her a little bit more of an approach to the mission here than the Jedi. She was part of the Silver ExplorCorps, which had her working on a few different projects. Today she was hoping to find more about the Force, that was where her skills truly lay. Working with the team was definitely going to be helpful. But she had a feeling that once she was under, the sounds and noises were going to continue more.

Turning, she saw Ura approaching and hte Brubreen gave the Jedi a smile. "Please join us! Its... safer with more numbers." She could feel the power before she stepped.

Stepping into the ruins, she feel the Force thrumming, but she couldn’t place where it was coming from. Was it coming from the walls? It didn’t feel alive…

Was it an echo? But an echo for what?

A scream filled her head and her ears. The Witch covered her ears as she bent over. She shook her head and tried to clear her thoughts. A soft hum coming from her lips, as she grabbed for the Force, but each time she was pulling for it, it felt as if it was moving farther away.

The color seemed to be draining around her, the room darkening.

"Anyone...?"
