The Holocron Hunts: Sunrider's Legacy

Alexandra Feanor

The Lady in Silver/Grey Historian
Alderaan Temple, Landing Pad Beta.

Alexandra sighed as she pulled the last of her supplies into the freighter and sat down against a crate, looking out into the temple as students trained. She kept her eyes focused on some younger ones as she knew it would be a while before she returned, the supplies on the ship meant to help her focus on finding the Holocrons she had been looking for for many years at this point. Certain ones for decades now since the time of her Order of the Grey.

It made her eyes drift towards an individual who was approaching, her eyes not catching another who was coming close. She was focused on the first, who was one of her students and it caused her to smile as the Padawan drew interest in where the master was going. A simple question coming from the young togruta.

"Where are you going Master?" The young one had asked and Alexandra thought on the best answer, her eyes focusing on the young one.

"To find information to help me become a better master..." Was how she answered, letting a smile touch her lips.

"Even I must continue to learn, and to become better so that I do not make mistakes, just as I trust you to. And my first step is to seek the teachings of a woman named Nomi Sunrider, an individual that I hope you one day have the chance to learn from." She waited for the young one to process this and smile, nodding before Alexandra motioned with her head for the Togruta to go.

"You should get back to your training, Im holding you up." With that the young one nodded again, leaving Alexandra to close her eyes and relax against the crate, aware Harley was not far behind the Padawan, but letting the Senator choose his moment to approach her on the matter.

The hallways of the Jedi Temple were always interesting to visit, with no military requirements for those joining, most having the ability to chose what ever path they wanted most members seemed more care free. That didn't mean things were not lax around here, the master and trainers were strict when need be, and the Jedi were still tasked with certain mission that required their expertise, even if they were not apart of the military.

It was a rather nice arrangement to have in his eyes, several times the Senator though about joining the order though over all had to put it aside due to the current business practices he conducted. Even still most of the master here seemed more then happy to train the Echani in the always of the force, trusting that he'd not use it for ill intentions.

Today he was seeking out [member="Alexandra Feanor"] the grand master, hoping to see if she would wound;t mind him showing up to another group lesson, only to find the Red Head Jedi discussing a trip, talking with a few of the padawans. "Well they are certainly cute Mastr Feondor, though I couldn't help but overhear about this trip, seems quite secret and vague if you ask me", he replied, walking up to the side after the youngsters wandered off.

Alexandra found her eyes sliding to the side and seeing the man nearby, her smile growing a bit and leaving her looking at the man with a humored expression.

His question was one she was not surprised by and close to outright refusing the man an answer, she instead thought for a moment. The thought on the matter drew her smile to be more directly aimed at him and she leaned against her palm as she decided on an answer for him.

"Interesting, Your arrival is actually quite fortunate Senator Fenstermacher. I am indeed heading for a trip, one involving the retrieval of a set of Holocrons, one in particular I could use your assistance in. It has been a while since I have been able to partake in my research trips, and would not mind company in looking for the specific item."

She stood, walking over to the man and holding out a hand to him.

"Will you accept my offer?"

He quirked an eye brow, though not so much about her wiliness to allow him on the trip, but more so how she managed to say his last name correctly. Come to think of it that may have been a first time some one pronounced his family name correctly without resorting to his Echani's last name or just making up the last few letters.

"Well that is rather convenient, but I won't say no to a small trip t find force artifacts, anything to get some practice in using such power and I do have some time off from diplomatic events". His hand grasping hold of Alex's outstretched one, giving a short but firm hand shake, "It's a deal then 'Grand Master', or can I just call you Alex"?

"So, what sort of holocrons are you looking for anyway and where"?

"The Holocron I seek is that of a woman who had died long ago, one that might give me understanding and focus on where to bring my life next. Her name being Nomi Sunrider, and is someone I have been interested in studying for a very long time but have not had the chance to more completely understand. I am hoping this trip ends with my learning that lesson and ends with my understanding what I have yet to find." She paused, curious as to Harley's own interest in her little search.

"As for how you can address me, Alex is fine. I must ask though, why are you interested in helping with this search Harley. You never struck me as the academic sorts and I doubt practice is the full extent of your curiosity." If it were, he could just as easily remain here and attain far better instruction than on the road and while searching for Holocrons.

It was this fact that brought her pause and kept her sitting where she was. The droids could reorganize things and prepare the ship, she had more interesting things to focus on and this man was certainly worth the momentary pause. Assuming her interest was actually rewarded.

"Hmmm can't say I really know much about that person beside them being a red head, but it does sound like an important relic to find if you are going after it must be quite important". He knew that these type of holocron were bastions of unique information and know how, somthing useful for him when away from the temple. Not being an actual Jedi along with other responsibilities Harley did not often come to the temple enough to keep up with the regulars.

"Well Alex it is then, though I have always been a study sorts, just have yet to fully branch off into the use of the force, after all you do not become an engineer that run a arms manufacturing company without a good amount of knowledge". That and being a senator, though over ll Harley did quite enjoy studying different sorts of materials. "As for a holocron, such would allow me to study the force while away from the temple and gain specific knowledge that others may not have, how they work and function is also intriguing".

Hopefully that would be enough to satisfy her wonder, if not just the aspect of getting out of the star system and doing something different for a change may come into play.

Alexandra looked at the man and with a raised brow she was surprised when the man was interested in coming along. Her feet brought her to stand once more and she looked tha man over for a few seconds. It was weird for a politician to want to go on a journey like this but not wholely unheard of. She knew Harley was sensitive to the force and soon his intentions came to light, making Alexandra pause and consider things once more.

"I hope that you understand Senator Fenstermacher... Harley. That this Holocron is to remain with myself and by extension the Jedi Order. It is not meant to be given to a Republic Senator when its knowledge is for that of the Jedi. I understand wanting to expand your knowledge, but the Holocron is not some textbook for you to study from... especially when it generally requires a master to open, and I don't doubt that fact considering who the creator is."

She was blunt and honest, it was who she was after all and that would not change for the Senator.

"But I think that I could help you on your journey into the force, if you will allow me during this trip. While I cannot promise you an expansion of your abilities, or even your knowledge, I can teach you the ideas and the methods at which you might use the force. Whether they be through darker means, or those of the Light."

Harley rolled his eyes a litre at the statement, “fiiiine, that whole keep it out of enemy hand or for safe keeping and that jazz, seems every force user does that”. “Though I am many thing and being flexiable is one of them”, a small pick up in the arms trading business, not many people were so ‘cooperative’. “I also guess seeing this is a Jedi one you owning it would make sense, just make sure that ideology does not bite you in the butt sometime, I could see such words being used against you if roles were reversed for some sort of important information.

Perhaps in time he’d be able to attain a holocron though other means and open it himself, one did come across the odd force box when trading in certain areas. If anyone could get their hands on an old holocron it was him, though through this current method, with a Jedi master one could learn a whole lot more. He contained to listen kind of confused on how the red headed grand master would be of assistance.

“Oh please Alex, I may be secondarily responsible for the deaths of millions of people through my business and wares but I am not stupid enough to seek out the emo side”. “Besides my wife would be upset if my chiseled features were ruined by the side effect of dark teachings”, he replied in a humours tones though to some extent serious. The last thing he wanted was his engagement to Anya being halted due to him going all Sith and corrupt, “so are we heading off now”.

Harley was amusing, that much was certain.

She often wondered about the senator, knowing of the mans connection outside of the Republic and knowing what such influences can do to loyalty. The loyalty that the Republic needed in the coming months would be necessary and Alexandra would be interested in ensuring that loyalty where she could. Things like the dark had brought ruin to those that defend the very institutions of freedom and the rights of those under that institution.

But Harley was not that dark presence she know would be within the Senate. The infiltration of their home was inevitable and Alexandra was no fool in to assume it could not have happened yet. The Sith were clever but not infallible, their spells and rituals leaving marks if one knew where to look and often thinking themselves as powerful as their predecessors.

Alexandra would need to speak with Tobias later but for now she had a job to do.

“You will find there are many Sith who’s features are not distorted by the dark. And that many are deceptive in all pursuits.” Her head nodded towards the inside of the ship and the unoccupied seat behind hers and the copilot seat. “I would ask you remain seated there, I will be leaving as soon as my copilot arrives.”

"Hmmm you do have a point there, my wife is no light sider and she is quite the beautiful women, but even so it ain't something I want to delve into to much without getting a proper understanding of it". "Who know with how INSANE I am I'll probably go nuts and do something complexly stupid, like building a death star and blowing up Alderan again just for fun... no seriously that could happen". Though not a major problem Harley was not the most mentally stable, certain things often triggered him in one way, and who knew, using the dark side could be one of those, and with all the fire power and weapons his company created, never know what could happen.

Letting out a small laugh he followed the Jedi master into the ship, taking a seat as requested, "oh fancy, any alcohol in here? or does the Jedi code prohibit drinking while on the job"? He asked, placing his hands behind his back while Alex went about pre-flight checks and other arrangements.
