CONTENTS
Jacen Solo’s Holocron is extensive with information on a myriad of Force Powers and Abilities, his philosophies about the Force, Lightsaber Combat, and his accounts of his life and experiences leading up to the Dark Nest Crisis. The Jedi is very knowledgeable, having spent much of his early life pondering the meaning of the Force and its importance, and having spent years discovering the mysteries of the Force. The Guardian is skeptical of Sith, and its very strong will makes it difficult for Dark Siders to access, with the being representing Solo around the time he rejoined the Jedi Order in 35 ABY.
  • The Jedi’s recounting of the Unifying Force philosophy in significant detail, his thoughts on why he chose to follow it, the metaphysical and philosophical importance of the Unifying Force, and the tenants of the philosophy.
  • Jacen’s accounts of his Philosophy of the Force prior to his fall to the Dark Side, with the information of the Force during the Yuuzhan Vong war recounted from memory, rather than by current belief. The Guardian tries to explain how his belief and ideas about the Force evolved over the course of his life and how he ended up following the Unifying Force. He includes a great deal of information about how the Jedi Praxeum, and his adventures there shaped how he would come to the view the Force, the Jedi, and the Galaxy itself.
  • Solo’s instructions on interpreting the meaning and significance of Force Visions are included, though he states that each individual may interpret the same vision differently based on their experiences. Most of the assistance is instructions aiding in recalling details from visions they experience.
  • A recounting of Solo’s life, though much of it is told in relatively short summaries, with key exceptions being his actions during the Second Imperium Crisis, the Corellian Insurrection, the Yuuzhan Vong War, the Mission to Myrkr, his capture by the Yuuzhan Vong, and attaining Oneness with the Force which are told in great detail.
  • Solo was at heart a philosopher seeking his place in the galaxy, and there is a large amount of data about his beliefs on the Force as a whole, the importance of the Force itself, the mysteries and nature of the Force, and what it means to be a Jedi in the Galaxy during peace-time and war-time.
  • Instructions for the Construction of a Lightsaber, including information on hilt and blade variations, and Solo’s opinions on the importance of a Lightsaber to a Jedi, Sith, or other Force User.

Solo Included Basic Instructions on a number of Abilities, though these lacked in depth instructions as the prodigy considered them basic and rudimentary, their performance solely based on the strength of the individual. While Solo was incredibly powerful and well rounded with his knowledge of the Force eclipsing Luke Skywalker's during his life, much of the prodigy's skill with these abilities came from his sheer power and attunement with the Force, having been trained from a very young age, and having been arguably the second most powerful Force User of his era.
Solo delved into more detail with certain abilities, focusing mainly on the philosophical representations of each ability, instructions on how to utilize them in and out of combat, and how they affected the Force and those within it, rather than divulging explicit applications for said abilities. Again, while the instructions are more in depth, much of the Jedi’s proficiency with them came from his immense raw power and comprehensive knowledge of the Force, not necessarily his mastery of the individual skills.
Solo only revealed the potential applications, extensive information, in depth instructions, and analysis on abilities and skills he revolutionized, invented, or rediscovered in the modern era. Abilities such as Force Meld were known of, but Solo was known to take the skill beyond its normal use creating a battle network of Jedi to relay thoughts and emotions across fleets, as well as the ability to dampen certain emotions in members of the meld or reinforce certain members when need be.

  • The battle meld worked in much the same way as the meld at Dubrillion, allowing the Jedi to share thoughts. Under Solo's control, they became nearly one mind, and he was at times liable to lose track of his own body, submerged in the thoughts of the others. Through the bond, he could shift the feelings of some Jedi to others, drawing the proper emotion from one Jedi to reinforce others.

  • Using his empathetic skills, Solo was able to form a bond with the slave seed Vergere implanted in him, giving him access to Yuuzhan Vong life by means of a sense analogous to, or part of, the Force. With it, he could influence Yuuzhan Vong life much as he did other life through the Force. He could not, however, access the Force and his Vongsense at the same time.

  • By narrowing their focus, a Force user could essentially shrink their presence in the Force to a microscopic size. While in this state, the user could operate molecules in any way they wanted, turning them into something completely different.
DESCRIPTION
Jacen Solo's Holocron is a small glowing blue stone fitted with blackened steel bracings, emitting a soft blue light. The Holocron is small enough to be held in one hand and isn't very heavy. To many it would seem more like a trinket, a paperweight. It is actually one of the most knowledgeable holocrons in existed, paired with his Sith Holocron, contains vast information on the Force.

Jacen was a philospher who sent much of his early life struggling to understand his place in the galaxy, to bear the weight of his family and his destiny, and to understand the Force itself, a challenge to even the greatest Jedi philosphers of old. Much of the instructions within the holocron are given with tidbits and anecdotes about how each ability effects the Force and the ripples they cause through it, how each being is affected whether they are the target or not, and how the Force is manipulated by a Force User. When instructing on lightsaber techniques and the construction of lightsabers, the Guardian is cautious given Jacen's history with the ancient weapons, and will often force the one it is instructing to practice assembling a lightsaber before it provides information on the inclusion of the powercell or attuning the crystal to the user.

Because of the prolific amount of information on Force Powers within the Holocron, much of the abilities with have little instruction on how to use the abilities, and more information on controlling each ability, and the effects it has on the Force. A great deal of information is placed on the importance of Force Visions and how to interpret the meaning of those visions, though it is difficult as each vision can be interpreted differently by each person.

Strengths:
  • Encyclopedia: The Holocron contains instructions on many abilities and philosophies based around the Force.
  • Mentor: The Holocron reveals information very similarly to a Jedi Holocron, offering instructions and information based on the knowledge, skill, and understanding of the being attempting to glean information from it. It also readily reveals what all its has information on, though it will warn or advise against delving into abilities that a student is not currently ready for.
Weaknesses:
  • Strong Willed: The holocron's guardian is very strong willed, unable to be easily overpowered. It will limit the information it divulges to Dark Siders, and though they may be able to pry information from the device, it is very difficult. As of now, a feat believed no one Sith Lord is able to do alone.
  • Null Fields: Much like many Force based artifacts, the Holocron is unable to function within an Ysalamiri field or other Force-Nullifying fields.

Upon some reflection, and some discussion with a friend, I've moved all the Esoteric abilities he learned on his journey to this holocron, and moved some other things around because of that. It doesn't make much sense to have his five year journey split up so much, but he didn't start, well creating his own Force powers until later in life. I've went through and tried to pull anything he used exclusively after becoming Darth Caedus (Like Shatterpoint and true battle meditation) into the Darth Holocron, and make this one from Birth to Dark Nest Crisis.

Trying to fit the time lines and philosophies I'm interested in with the proper powers and abilities is a little difficult to balance, but I think we will get there.

Alright. I see the issue with that, from looking at breaking his journey up. So, rather than splitting it directly from when he was recognized as Darth Caedus and the years prior, let's split it from the Yuuzhan Vong War and prior (so from birth to the Yuuzhan Vong War) and then from the start of his journey til whatever date/year you had in mind for his Darth Caedus role in the second/Darth Caedus holocron.

That way we have more of an even split in information (it would cut this one down to where he was living with the Yuuzhan Vong and maybe just afterwards, and then the Darth Caedus holocron would pick up directly after that). Reading through his history, it appears this was pretty much where his character story splits anyways, so it would make more sense than going from early Jedi years til the moment he changed to Caedus. It'll also help make the Caedus Holocron more useful in information than just being a well of information from the day he took up his mantle of Sith Lord. (Plus, you could have his point of view in that holocron be his perspective and gradual shift to the dark side after he left Zenoma Sekot and the Jedi Order for his journey through the galaxy and its unknown/forgotten force orders).

According to the wookieepedia page (see: Unorthodox Jedi) for him, his journey started in 30 ABY and it's pretty clear that becoming one with the force and the end of the war with the Vong was the end of the first half of his character arc, which occurred shortly before that. While I would absolutely love the split to be at the Jedi vs Sith point, it's clear that his actual development as a character has a more obvious split in the form of two huge overarching stories that break at 30 ABY from each other. So we can just put the established end-point for the Jacen Solo/Jedi holocron at either 29 or 30 ABY, and the startup point for the Darth Caedus picking up directly after that.

So, just to be clear, you want all the Aing-Tii, Mind Walker, Force Listener, Witch, White Current, and Baran-Do added to the Darth Caedus Cron.

Art of the Small would be left in this one. (I'll probably Move Control Pain and Force Flash to this one as well to even them out a little bit)

I can do that, leaves this one a little smaller with more emphasis on Jedi, but still have his philosophy Post Yuuzhan Vong Capture.

Alright Edits made to both submissions.

Well, I checked, and it seems there was some confusion regarding Killik Twilight. But, I will handle all that when I post these along with some other things going back out into the galaxy.
