Jazbina.
A world of strange creatures, strange people, and strange culture. It was unique; foreign. Many came to see the world and view its treasures and wonders. Others came for profit and money, selling and buying. Still others came for the mines, rich in their bounties.
A small few came for the Hunt.
Tikulini. A huge worm-beast that terrorized the mines on the planet. They were rare, exceedingly so, but one had been found. It had killed many mine workers and caused untold damage to the mines. The mine owners had sought out help with the problem. A small number answered.
Tonas stood with others of like-minded interest. Other hunters, or profiteers. They sought to hunt the beast as Tonas did. Though, he felt, for different reasons.
"The beast was seen here last," he said, his voice deep and firm, as he adjusted the quiver of caros arrows on his back and gestured to the mines behind him. A Klirun was in his hand. He would hunt as his ancestors did today. "We're to enter the mines and find the worm. We're to be quick and quiet. If the beast escapes us because of your inability to move silently, I'll kill you myself. Understood?"
