The Imperious

This was fun.

Boan didn't often get to fight such simple battles, but the Pirates were breaking apart far more easily. Their fleet was crumbling, breaking apart and running in retreat.

“Ma'am, should we stop them?”

Boan thought for a moment. Was it worth it? She could obliterate every single pirate ship here, but it would take time and energy, both of which she did not want to expend this day. No. She would have her prize soon, that would be enough for today.

“Let them go.” She said calmly. “They aren't worth it.”

Not today at least.

Whilst the blondie was playing fleet commander on the bridge of her ship, Cadell was playing his own little game in the depths of the corridors of the Imperi- he didn’t actually know what it was called. Some lame name that nobody really cared about, besides this girl trying to vie for some kind of reputation, long since dead. Like really, there were so many ships out there, the Sith were churning out new warships by the moment… and this gal was trying to get this one.

Names were alright and all, but man. It’s like someone was doing a quest for the Millenium Falcon, would be better to just destroy the ship and construct a brand new one from its liking, and naming it the blablablaperius. Swords lashed out and the throaty gurgle of a man gasping for air permeated through the system.

He had the distinct feeling that their game was almost done.

Piece by Piece the Pirate Fleet broke apart until it was naught but rubble and ruins.

In the end only a single ship stood where there had once been an armada. She smiled at it. The Imperious was far from pretty right now. It had scorch and burn marks dotting it, pirate scribbles, and was painted an ugly red color. Titan Industries would have it hands full with this little project, not only would they have to retro fit the entire thing but they would have to paint it, add new hull plating, everything.

She mused for a few seconds.

“Progress?” Her voice chirped over the bridge and she received an immediate answer. She smiled slightly, then nodded. “Alert me as soon as they take the bridge.”

Boan said turning around and walking off the bridge. “Were done here.”

Done they were, another cut here and there and finally Cadell had finished his own particular job on the last detachment of seniority in the Pirate brigade. Truthfully he didn’t even have to bother these days, the greenhorns and vets would have done the job for him without even questioning it, but sometimes a man simply needed to get his own hands dirty - it was the act of repetition, thusly the hands would never forget the act and the mind would never forget the state. Simple as that it was. He was wiping his hands from the blood when the call came through from Boan’s flagship, a request for an update of the situation.

Part of Cadell, the part that had kissed Queens… the part that had done all kinds of crazy deeds in his younger and not-so-younger years, pondered if he shouldn’t try to steal the ship. Just for the kicks, see if it worked out and how the princess would react to such a thing. In the end he decided against it. The Contract. It didn’t matter if he stood a chance or not, it all came back down to the contract.

And it beckoned him to answer the call.

Aye, we are ‘bout done here. Ya can send in your boys to clean up.’
