- Fast: The Kelias is not the fastest vessel, but it is quicker than most ships of it's size. This speed is paired with an excellent maneuverability, allowing The Kelias to fly circles around most other ships. This design function is it's primary concern, mostly because the ship does not function as a combat vessel, but rather one of reconnaissance. Though if it gets into a tough position it can fight, it by no means is really meant for it.
- Sneaky: Couple with it's trademark speed, The Kelias is equipped and built onto a stealth frame. Though there is no fancy cloaking device, the Kelias is made out of light metals and comes equipped with a variety of devices allowing it to remain undetected both visually, and by most sensor systems.
- Wings: Though it's unique profile is unlike anything in the galaxy, an obvious weakpoint of The Kelias is it's wings. These sprawling appendages are a huge target for any pursuing ship, and the additional thrusters located upon each wing make them one of the reasons the ship is so maneuverable. If The Kelias' wings are destroyed the vessel will be slower and less maneuverable.
- Thermal Trace: The Stealth System aboard The Kelias is not perfect. The Thrust Thrace Dampeners are only equipped on the main engines of the ship. This means that if The Kelias breaks out into afterburners or utilizes it's wing-based thrusters it will immediately break out onto any sensors nearby.
The Kelias came about mostly as a tinker toy built by Tyrian during his work for Lord Vrak Nashar.
Though The Resurgent Empire pushed their soldiers hard, and their agents even harder, they were given down time in order to keep their mentality in check. Not being a rich man or a person with many hobbies, Tyrian set about building himself a personal starships. Through trips to various starship graveyards and the looting of several battle sites Tyrian eventually managed to cobble together a starship that...actually worked.
Technically speaking The Kelias is an 'ugly' a type of starship designed from parts of other ships.
Many of the parts that Tyrian utilized did not come from Sith ships, but oddly enough Republic or ancient Alliance craft. This is reflected in the general design of the vessel, taking on a more aerodynamic look rather than one of fearsome terror and intimidation. The vessel itself could be compared to a large winged bird, and indeed with it's rotating and shifting wings this would be an apt comparison.
The Kelias as a starship is designed to be a reconnaissance vessel, dropping into a system, taking scanners reading and then either leaving or infiltrating without ever being noticed. In short it is the vessel of an agent, utilized for smooth and quick transitions. The ship exterior and interior both reflect this fact.
The outside of the vessel is coated in black fiberplast, giving the ship a dark visage and allowing it to hide from most sensor systems. Along with this the starship is equipped with various other stealth functions. It's rotating wing systems also fold, though during atmospheric and even space flight they are capable of extending and through multiple small thrusters give The Kelias a boost of speed.
The ship's interior is what many would call 'spartan'. Not much can be said of Tyrian's interior decorating skills, and in truth he wouldn't really want them to. A reflection of the ships state as an 'ugly', the inside of The Kelias, is a hodge podge mess of different hallway and room designs. There are two bedrooms, two refreshers, a cargo bay, one small medical bay, an arms locker, and of course the cockpit.
The Cockpit is the only truly unique, and perhaps beautiful aspect of the ship. Unlike on other vessels the Kelias's cockpit is located behind a wall of thick fiberplast. There are no glass or transparisteel viewports. Instead the pilot receives information on how to pilot ships through a series of outboard cameras and sensor systems. Through this the Pilot gains an immense amount of data while also remaining a bit safer than usual pilots.
All in all The Kelias is most definitely not a perfect ship, but it does suit a man of Tyrian's nature.
