The Kitchen of the Force

"Take your time: I understand if you're lost. Many Jedi would be lost, too: sometimes while Jedi could be good enough in combat to go toe-to-toe against Sith Lords, and even take them down, they can be undone by common thieves, poor understanding of data or other mundane stuff: that is why you realize knowledge is important"

Jessica couldn't blame [member="Jairdain"] for being lost: algebra, alongside other subjects at that level, was a topic that gave a lot of headaches to Jedi, let alone calculus: single-variable calculus is usually assumed when calculus is used without qualification, even though Jessica and other mechu-deru practitioners often feel the need to differentiate between single-variable calculus and multi-variable calculus. And even multi-variable calculus was child's play compared to topology. During the brief time she spent at the temple on Voss, she was often referred to as the resident mathematician, a walking brain or some other such thing: even Sorel would acknowledge that topology was far beyond nearly every Jedi, and yet Jessica was one of the foremost users in the galaxy of a Force-power that relied on one's knowledge of topology. But too many Jedi dreamed of becoming glorified bounty hunters, and don't realize that so many things could undo them; Jera seems to realize where knowledge fits in her life as a Jedi.

"Today's lesson is now over. That was a lot of content, I believe it is best to continue tomorrow or in a few days so that you can take the time to make sense of the content of today's lesson"

Letting out a small chuckle, Jairdain looked up at [member="Jessica Med-Beq"] and smiled again.

"Lost is putting it mildly. It's going to take a lot of study time to even start to comprehend what you were talking about."

She couldn't imagine taking out a Sith anything right now, she could barely stand on her feet in a fight.

"I hope I can learn fast enough to keep up with what you're teaching. Oh I know I can questions at anytime, but I don't want to come across as slow either."

Nodding at what Jessica said, she too felt the passing of the day. With a farewell and a wave, Jairdain walked out of the tent with the pad and all the information swirling around her head.
