Darron called for the last of them to join him, and he stood by his side, on the other side of Seroth. The wind whipped in his face, the noises of the battle echoed in his ears, he was all to familiar with situations like this. Looking around, he took in all of the scenes, especially the World Destroyer. Now that..... that was something he had never seen before. Gazing upon it with a mixture of fascination and the desire to destroy it, he could not help but gawk at the spectacle, how were they going to destroy something like that? Well, there was no turning back now, not that he would. He could feel the presence of so many Jedi and Republic soldiers who were behind him and already on the battlefield. This was what being a Jedi was about, these were the moments he had been breed for, to save the Galaxy one giant droid super weapon at a time.
He heard his name and his attention was snapped, looking over at Seroth, it was time. The transport landed, the doors flew open, and the battle was upon them. Leaping out behind Darron, his lightsaber sprung to life, just in time to block a blaster shot. They were all skilled, there was no question, but if they stayed out in the open for too long they would be killed. It was not a question, it would happen, they were going to have to act faster than they ever had. His mind drifted to Jaxton, what was he thinking? He was always late, to everything, the boy would be late to his own funeral. It may come sooner than they had all anticipated as he had missed the transport, jumping like a fool, and now Ben could not pinpoint his location. He was gone, on his own, to fight or to die. Ben whispered a silent good luck to him as they jumped into battle.
The young Padawan jumped into battle without thinking, Ben's eyes sprang open, what was she thinking? She could not possibly think she could do this battle all on her own. She fought valiantly, but for how long? She was only a Padawan and even Ben himself was not sure that two Masters and a Knight would be able to survive in the middle of the battlefield. Whoever was training these brash Jedi needed a stern talking to, they did not think, they only acted. Acting upon impulse was not what Jedi were about, no matter how noble or brave their impulse was, a dead Jedi was a useless Jedi.
Explosions, death, screaming, crying, they all flooded his mind for a second before he closed them off. He had a goal, and the goal was crucial to winning this war, he could not be distracted no matter how much he wanted to save everyone. Death was certain here, he could not stop it all, he could only do his part to help bring Omni down. "So how do we go about destroying this thing?" Ben shouted over the sounds of battle as he himself deflected and destroyed any droid foolish enough to get near him.
