The Liberation of Dac [Republic vs. Sith Empire]

Dac Orbital Shipyards
Control Center

Before the Shi'ido had any time to start introductions, a warning light began to flash throughout the center and nearby corridors. Rushing over to the yards command console, Rasu brought up a holo-display of the naval battle taking place around them. From what she could see, the Republic ships had the Imperials on the run, however to her surprise a large number of warships had suddenly sprung up from out of nowhere. Where did they come from, she thought, her mind racing through different possibilities on how to deal with their current predicament. The Republic was too busy dealing with the Imperials to help with this new fleet of Capital ships, now heading straight for the ship yards.

Turning to Donatos, who she hoped was also quite alarmed by their current situation, she said, "What are we going to do? The Republic is caught up with the Imps so they'll be unable to stop this new fleet." She stopped there, cut off by a new voice echoing throughout the yards speaker system. Ten minutes wasn't exactly enough time to come up with a resolution to the problem but it would have to do. Thinking quickly, Rasu scanned through the different controls over the console. Firing up the yards spacial defenses might buy them some more time, but what would they do with that time. They needed a plan which they could start taking action with. Calling on the Force, the Headmistress cleansed her mind and body, rejuvenating her muscles and sharpening her senses. A serene sensation passed over the Shi'ido, now was the time to come up with a strategy.

Broadening the holo-display, it now encompassed both the naval battle between both factions plus the new fleet heading towards the shipyards. Different coloured triangles represented each side with a massive green ring indicating the ship yards and it's own capital ships in dock. Raising her hand to her head, she began to massage her temples, surely there was something she could do. She was not going to abandon the workers and her friends just because of some measly pirate fleet, she had already abandoned her friends once, she was not going to do it again. Thinking again, she moved her thoughts back to the outer defenses of the ship yard. Yes it would buy them time, but they needed to do something in that duration between their obliteration. Focusing her thoughts now on the green ring that represented the orbital yards, a spark of an idea formed in her head. That's it!

Throughout the entire circumference of the ring, Quarren and Mon Calamari Capital ships were docked, sitting there fully armed and full of aquatic crew members ready to be used by the Imperials. If the outer defenses were activated, word could be spread round to these warships, and they could engage the pirate fleet, buying even more time for the inhabitants of the yards, defending it while their own fleet stood. Members of the resistance could travel to different ships and take control, assuming of course that the crew members were willing to cooperate. Rasu was confident however that a few inspirational words could turn them to their side and then the battle would commence, the Battle for the Ship yards had to be won by the Republic.

Turning back to face Donatos and his resistance fighters, Rasu informed them of their plan, not giving them any time to second guess or criticize her idea. Lives were at stake and if the pirate fleet won here they could move on to wiping out the Republic fleet, earning a win for the Empire, that could not happen. "We'll leave a few men here to guard the command center," she said to the Mon Cal and Quarrens present, "make sure to keep the shield on, it's your only means of protection from Sith and pirate forces." Turning to face the console again, she began to type in commands, which would hopefully override the resistances past order. To her relief, buttons began to flash and a notification popped up stating that the defense system was fully armed and prepared for their target. Locking them on to the pirate fleet, she entered the activation command and was pleased to feel a slight shudder vibrate through the floor and soon the sound of turbo-laser fire could be heard echoing through the chasm of space. Good that gives us some time, she thought, now to initiate the plan.

"Each of you go to one of the surrounding Capital ships. Do whatever you have to do to take control of the crew, emphasis on anything. Once you've gained control and gotten the ship prepared and crew ready, send a message to that Scythe-class battle cruiser over there." She said pointing through the transparisteel viewing screen at a massive warship, docked quite close to the control console. It's vertical frontal fin stuck up above the orbital wing, visible even from the surface of the planet far below. "I'll begin to send you updates as we go along. Remember the fate of the shipyards and the people in it, rest in our hands now. Don't fail them, let that thought harden your resolve and May the Force be with you." Gesturing to a being Quarren near the blast door, he immediately lowered the shield allowing the members of Dac to leave, in search of their own cruiser to commandeer. Turning to face Donatos, she gave him a quick nod, before leaving the room herself, with only those she had ordered to defend the center behind. We can't lose now, not after so many beings have already died for us. With this in mind, Rasu drove on, determined to not let a single pirate energy bolt, touch the hull of the ship yards.

The Jedi released her ruse and spun about. Releasing a giant Repulse Wave towards the Sith Knight who approached. Then she made for the door with all haste.

The Herglic snorted air from its spout. "Hauum. So be it. Do not let the broken chains at your feet trip you in your haste to be free of them, @[member="Tracyn Ordo"]."

The cryptic reply hung in the air for a moment, before Orcus turned 'round and stomped off toward the epicenter of the battle. He motioned with a flipper to one of the Blackblades. "Send a squad after him to observe. They are report back if anything goes amiss."

"ROE, sir?"

Black eyes stared fixedly ahead. "Hauum... under no circumstance are they to engage. If fired on, flee."

"Yes, sir." The lieutenant saluted and ran off, leaving Orcus to stalk toward new opponents. The Herglic glanced at the saber in his flipper, still unlit, and smiled. One by one they would fall. This was not a war for territory, but attrition of the soul. Exposed to the horrors of war, these Jedi would come to see the falsehood of their Order... and the Republic.

Flipping about in a war was a bad thing - Atleast, that was what Kathryn had been taught. It was a lesson she intended to pass on to the Jedi that she had been dueling but moments ago. So naturally she lashed out with the force, attempting to catch him either in mid air, or as he landed, with a Force Push. Her goal was plain and simple. Throw him away from the Hutt so he wouldn't kill him with his lightsaber, but keep him close enough so that the darksided tendrils could savage the Jedi for his mistake. She had counted many that the Jedi had made - Allowing himself to be weakened by failing allegiance. Needlessly flipping and expending energy in combat. Turning his back to two opponents, still alive. Attacking something capable of creating darksided tendrils while it's allies were still alive, or suitably undistracted. Fatal mistakes.
Even as she force pushed Vulpesen down to the floor, she advanced upon him - She had naught to fear from the Hutt, nor his tendrils, for their intentions and goals were the same. However, unlike the Jedi, she kept a steady distance between herself and the Sith Master. Why? Because Hutts could not be trusted. Besides. It made more sense, tactically, to keep herself at the Jedi's back, so that if he tried to flee, or catch breath whilst attacking @[member="Rasho the Hutt"], she could be upon him to force him back towards either lightsaber or tendrils.

The two of them could easily keep him between a Sith and... Well. Another Sith. And if the others managed to suitably distract any other Jedi? Well. This one would be dispatched incredibly quickly between the two of them.

Aerrah tossed down her saber for Saki to take. Dammed everything, especially the Sith. She laid back down, her leg stuck at nearly a ninety degree angle. It was far to painful to move, and an injury like this required surgery. She'd at least walk again. For how long was to be determined. Aerrah had no true idea how The Republic would treat captured Force users. Surely the well known ones would be put to the saber as it were. She only fought in two battles though, and certainly no war crimes unlike most others. Death sounded unlikely, some time as a prisoner of war though was certain. "So. Whats your name Jedi. Its rude for me to keep calling you by your order now". Her voice was still haggard with pain, but casual as can be she asked the question.

Balaya stalked forward and then ran as she felt it. The moment of clarity with the force telling her something was coming before she got thrown back into the wall and could see Karen fleeing. With a sneer Balaya got up digging herself out while the parts of the building started to come down and took off at a run towards the door. Behind the jedi and as the floor cracked the saber screamed for both of them "Run.... run b... run"

Vulpesen grunted as he was thrown back, but moved nimbly out of the tendril's reach, hacking through those taht came to close before looking back at @[member="Kathryn Dae"] who came in to advance on him. "Rude." As he looked up his yellow eyes were returning to the brown hazel of before, forsaking the darkside that had controlled him moments ago. His actions only seemed weakening, but he was still young, and his jedi training had only enhanced his stamina, allowing the jedi to fight with such a style without tiring for a long amount of time. Now that his mind was clear, he could focus, and when he could focus he could correct each mistake, even if some sith girl was trying to cut him apart. Still, Rasho seemed to have other matters to attend to so he gave him little attention for now (he still had attention, afterall, Vulpesen wasn't an idiot.) Instead, Vulpesen focused on his apprentices.

"There are two of you, and yet a pixie and a Hutt have beaten you to my blood. This is rather pathetic really." His burns and the cut in his leg were painful, but he could manage, and he did find it rather sad that these two sith who were attacking him in tandem couldn't get on a single mark, even after his bout with insanity. Once again Vulpesen called upon the force, reaching out to assault his advancing enemy with a powerful force push, bringing it in from the side as to throw her into the Hutt. Using his greater experience, he had very little doubt that she would be able to stop him. He had after all trained with multiple large weights and telekenisis was one of his most used abilities.

“Open to doors!” Vinyata commanded. Compiling, the pilot to her S90 MAAT (assault transport) opened the rear door to the shuttle. Taking a brief glance around, Vinyata could see about 20 other S90 MAAT transports in the squadron pulling up the rear, ready to deploy their troops.
“Move it let’s go!” Vinyata shouted as she ran and backflipped out of the S90 MAAT, activating her purple saberstaff. A platoon of 30 soldiers jumped out of the shuttle out of her, which was conducting a strafing run about 50 feet up from the ground, spewing lasers, rockets and missiles in a violent hailstorm. Buildings and Republic Walkers exploded, fires started to rage, as the MAATs conducted their strafing run. Using the force to lessen the impact of her fall, Vinyata executed a forward roll and quickly spun her saberstaff in front of her to deflect on coming laser fire from Republican troops. Her team of commandos clad in Hydra Armor formed in formation behind her, and began to exchange fire with the enemy soldiers as they made their way through the streets of Dac.
“Suppressing fire on that building NOW!” Commander Jeran roared pointing toward a building that contained several Republic Heavy Troopers. The troopers in the platoon wielding chain guns quickly trained their fire on the building, unleashing a torrent of red lasers that started to tear the building apart.
Hefting up a rock, Vinyata hurled it a in front of her and her platoon, just in time to intercept a plasma bolt from a Republic tank, exploding the rock into thousands of shards. Several laser bolts from a fast approaching Imperial MACAU column pulling up the rear quickly dispatched the Republic tank, molten slag and large shrapnel spraying in every direction.
Using the force to sprint faster than humanly possible, Vinyata lead onto the side of a building lining the Dac street and rapidly climbed up the building using the various window ledges. Pulling herself onto the top of the building, she the could make out @[member="Marcus Faust"] being cornered by several more powerful Jedi about 100 feet away. Although the attack run by the MAAT’s had delayed the Jedi’s attack and gave time for Faust to gain the high ground on the ruble that was once a respectable street, it was apparent he would be making his last stand. I will NOT let the Jedi take another Sith into custody. Vinyata thought as rage boiled over her. Even though she didn’t know @[member="Marcus Faust"] very well, she felt a sense of duty to her all her fellow Sith. Besides, the Republic had taken enough from the Empire today, and she had deployed several elite units of the Sith Military to conduct an insertion-and-recovery mission to make sure they wouldn’t take any more.
Leaping from rooftop to rooftop, she came upon @[member="Marcus Faust"] as he began to engage in a duel with the numerous Jedi surrounding him.

Saran dashed down the corridor, nearly bowling over @[member="Rasu Gan"]. She fell, rolled, and got up, barely able to withstand the pain. "Rasu? That you? I..... wound up in the wrong hanger." She said. "Sorry. What are we on now?" The miraluka was hoping that she had a plan. Why did the Suns have to be so..... so cruel?

As if fighting one Jedi Councilor wasn't enough, now he had to deal with two. Brillant. Aronis was thrown back on to the ground as a result of the Force push. Typical Jedi, they'd rather discuss the weather, rather then actually fighting, always afraid to get their hands dirty. So he could run, fight, or surrender. None of those were good options. Run and have a 99% chance of getting caught or crashing into more Jedi and troopers. Fight and possibly die, depending on how little they care about him. Or surrender and endure the tortures of being a prisoner.

Aronis slowly got back up, glaring at his former master. He put up an iron barrier, preventing her feelings from having any impact on him. His master, he had no clue, he was on Dac or at least he thought so, but where? She had good points, his reasoning might have been a little off. But he had been abandoned, alone in a situation much like this. Outnumbered and overpowered, left at the mercy of the Sith.

Aronis stood, motionless, saber in hand. Dac was falling, the Jedi were in control of it. Surrendering wasn't an option for him, he had no where, to run, he couldn't fight and hope to survive. He was trapped. Aronis just remained there, wanting to get away, but with no way out.

Court Yard in front of control room

A purple blade danced into his view from above as he moved into the courtyard with his soldier friend. "The day is never done." A'donari said within a sigh playfully before grabbing a stone and launching it towards the Sith bounding their way. When it was close enough to her he released a speck of force within the center of the stone causing it to explode into rubble in front of her. He didn't really know why she was charging towards a room filled with Jedi Masters but he thought he would give her a chance to make the right decision. That was to go back to blowing up the Republics toys and not throwing away her life for no reason.

The soldier continued moving back to their unit knowing that his fight wasn't of the blade but out in the field.

Kiskla's insides tightened with the amount of difficulty it took for her to restrain herself from striking the knight down. His silence was deafening and irritating and he wasn't giving her anything one way or the other.

"If you're waiting to start defending yourself," The blonde started, taking a defiant step forward while still keenly aware of the Sith's aggressive nature. "You'll be waiting quite some time." With an exertion, a barrier wove about her skin, heavy concentration over her palm. She could feel the apprehension from her fellow Masters as she stood in such proximity of the Sith. Her palm reached the hungry hum of his crimson blade, facing her hand against it. There was a slight burning sensation, but it was incredibly minor to what the outcome could have been. She pushed the blade downward, back into the hilt where it had erupted from in short time. She retracted her hand once the work was complete, the slight scent of burning flesh from the oils on her skin lingering in the area.

She was going to continue her proclamation when an obnoxious noise came from above, alerting her reactive senses. A powerful burst extended overhead, as an extended barrier with a push behind it to divert the on comers descent from the Jedi below.

Be careful what you wish for. Karen made the doorway and flicked her thumb. Jetpack flaring, she took to the skies like a rocket ship. Arching to the right the Jedi flew across the sheltered white streets and up towards the Sniper's perch she encountered before hand. The Blackblade Marksman and his Spotter was non-to-surprised to see the enemy soldier approach. Though they marveled when Karen absorbed their return-fire upon her brilliant blue blades. The nice thing about Elite Soldiers is you can always count on them to actually be accurate. Makes catching the bolt so much easier to be honest.

She mounted their perch and gasped their necks in the Force. Then flung them from the balcony with a wave. To her great surprise both soldiers would survive the fall. Fascinating. Bravo to blackguard armor I suppose. ...Karen wasted no time, snatching up the Marksman's rifle post haste. Then she dashed inside the large round building that had sheltered their lookout post. It was a University Auditorium. Or something akin to such a public forum. Karen did not have time to pander to the decorum. She needed to regroup with the Invasion Forces. There were bigger objectives here than Zeltron monstrosities and talking whip-swords.

His heightened senses clicked as a new dark signature entered the vicinity. Darc looked up to see another Sith attempting to intercept @[member="Marcus Faust"]'s inquisition. The Jedi paladin eyes narrowed as they shimmered in white light; facing his palm to the Sith newcomer. A wave of light energy exerted from him as he conjured the will of the Force. With Kiskla still melded with him it would only intensify its magnitude further. Though it was not meant to hurt the Sith directly, but only to hold her in a frozen stasis.

THAT ONE BLAST DOOR

The cowering @[member="Eenes Kokad"] received a blast of lightning for her troubles -- between that and the intrepid @Zoe Kilborn, the Quarren should have her hands full.

@[member="Vulpesen"]'s powerful slash met the blademaster's guard. Rasho's sabre didn't move an inch. As @[member="Vulpesen"] attempted to Force-grab @[member="Kathryn Dae"] from behind him and chuck her at Rasho, the Dark Master pondered on the virtues of not trying to throw someone through yourself. The Jedi Knight was setting himself up for a collision course. With a shrug, Rasho slid forward and somewhat to one side, just in case the airborn Sith Apprentice made it anywhere near him. The motion put him behind the Jedi Knight, who'd made a moderately unpardonable mistake.

He'd closed to saber range with a Master, a specialist in close-quarters combat, then turned his attention to someone behind him. Even if an Apprentice's telekinesis had attempted to get him away from Rasho, well, it wasn't as if an Apprentice's push was good for much. And as Vulpesen's focus went elsewhere, along with his body, Rasho lunged to keep himself within saber range. The entire base of his body was one slab of muscle, and it contorted, slamming the Hutt along the floor with quickness most humanoids couldn't match. This time was, it appeared, his to do with as he wished, considering the Jedi Knight was busy talking and using telekinesis in another direction entirely.

The blademaster's lightstaff flickered and chopped - one strike for the back of Vulpesen's neck, one for the base of his spine, one for the back of his closest knee. Vulpesen's mistake wasn't the kind you walked away from, telekinetic intervention or no telekinetic intervention. The first exercises of being a blademaster had to do with mirroring your opponent's movements -- advancing when they retreated, retreating when they advanced. This kind of thing was absolutely fundamental.

He, personally, could afford to turn his back to @[member="Sochi Ru"], who might well be fleshy paste against the bulkhead right now; he couldn't tell and didn't care.

Wings beat furiously as her small, form spun through the air, being ripped away from Vulpesen's ear. She was surprised the jedi didn't cave in his own ear with that force-push. Would've been much easier just to flick her off and to flip her off. Both would've resulted in finger burns.

She spiraled like a spinning top to the ground, catching herself on her knees and hands, little chest heaving as her wings trembled. Her glowing skin flickered in and out. She didn't bother to respond to Vulpesen. He wouldn't hear her now, anyway. How could he protect her when he couldn't even protect himself from his own demons?

The dark tentacles from the Hutt slithered around the fire-folk but never touched her.

Pushing to a stand, Evan launched from the ground and shot through the air like a guided missile. Her form flickered to a mild-glow as she made an impact-path to slip beneath the front collar of Vulpesen's shirt. If jedi boogers weren't bad enough, she really hoped the guy shaved his back. Either way, he was about to experience a bleep load of burning. It wouldn't have the same sting as before but it would be enough of a distraction...even with a potentially unkempt body.

LOCATION: BLAST DOORS
OBJECTIVE: PUNISH THE DESERTER

Zoe smiled as the dark-tentacles summoned by her hutt lord had worked to remarkable effect on the tentacle-bearded quarren woman. She was in obvious pain, and expelled a lot of energy slashing them off and pushing them off with her wizardry. Zoe didn't what kind of battery powered the Jetii and Dar'Jetii, but she wagered it wasn't infinite, and she also wagered whichever one the quarren had was running low. Her choice to flee only convinced her more that the jetii was getting tired, and hence sloppy. Between Zoe being trained as a Mandalorian Soldier she had great overall fitness, between not having her legs touched by demon tentacles of extreme pain she was unhindered, carrying a metal swimsuit instead of real clothing made her spry, and between not being attacked by tentacles or lightning she was undistracted, and hence perfectly ready to close in on her target. Running after the Jedi, with a speed she didn't anticipate the fleeing quarren exceeding, she came behind the quarren and took her two daggers and thrust them forward, which unimpeded would find their way into her back, right above her hips, causing quite a bit of pain indeed, not to mention the torrent of lightning coming her way.

There was one great advantage to the direction Vulpesen was facing. He was in the perfect position to run. With a quick leap, Vulpesen cleared the slashes, springing away from @[member="Rasho the Hutt"]'s assault with a large burning hole in his robes. He'd need a tailor, but not a doctor... this time. For some reason it seemed that people forgot that his mouth wasn't attatched to his legs. Talking was something he just did and it had little or no affect on his concentration. As for @[member="Evangeline Sage"], the move made a similar affect of dodging, launching him over her head while she now find herself on course with an airborne boot, instead of a stationary collar. One of the first rules Vulpesen had been taught as a fighter was to never stop moving. And that lesson wasn't meant to refer to his mouth. He was starting to get annoyed. Four opponents were now attacking him and his back up seemed to be doing a sorry job of helping him out. Why couldn't he ever have a fair match? Oh right... they were sith.

Aurelic Vos Talen

Jedi Newcomer and Shapeshifting Marsupial
Location: New Coral City

Talen's pod dropped toward New Coral City like a lead brick. The Sith inside felt the pod shake about him. Even for a Force-User it was worrisome , he was entirely helpless and though he was flashing a Sith Transponder it didn't mean one of his allies... Or the Jedi in that fact wouldn't start take pot shots at him for amusement or otherwise. It was a helpless, tormenting, feeling, and doubly so for Aurelic who feared nothing more than death. The feeling wouldn't last however.

In what felt like seconds hits pod hit the city, sliding down an abandoned market place and skidding to a halt. It left a swath of wreckage. Everything went black for a few minutes... Talen came to quickly though, the Force awoke him, he heard the door being unsealed. He was quick to act, unclipping himself and shifting to his natural form. He was smart to do so, for the door opened to a Republic Trooper. Aurelic snarled and lunged, catching the soldier entirely unawares. His long canines sunk into the weak point between the troopers helmet and body piece, tearing into flesh with a shredding sound. To finish the job he added to the bite with the Force, shocking the mortally wounded trooper. Before his comrades could react, Talen lunged out of the pod and hit the ground running despite his cut flank. Blue blaster blots peppered the ground around him but he managed to vanish into the ruins.

The Sith would make his way directly to the heart of the fighting, toward a familiar Force Signature.

Looking down on the saber, he sighed, put it on his belt and raised a hand. Lightning sprung forth, purple electric tendrils surging at the Jedi as he drew another saber, he carried trophies, and quite a lot of them at that. If he was going down, he'd do so fighting. An emerald blade sprung to life in his hand as he rushed Kiskla.

Juyo and Djem So mixed together made one mean bastard child as she'd soon learn. A downward arcing strike came for her head with the full night if the Knight behind it. She'd no doubt block it, and he knew this, so quickly he slid the blade down and attempted to slash across her stomach.
