The Liberation of Dac [Republic vs. Sith Empire]

Sarge found the grenade bouncing between the two of them - one that Arvis apparently didn't notice. So, nudging it through the Force, he sent it flying for Arvis' chest. He wasn't even going to try to bring back his saber, because his opponent was using the Force to protect it. He'd be wearing down like him, soon enough.

Nevermind that, however, as the man was clearly heavily injured in the leg. He'd likely nicked the femoral artery there, and the man would likely go into shock momentarily if he wasn't smart - but the adrenaline was probably too much for him. Still... that grenade had to have come from somewhere.

Without taking his eyes from Arvis, he dropped his robes, revealing that the mask was actually set as the frontplate of a Mandalorian-style helmet. And with the 360 degree HUD now unencumbered by his hood, he found the opponent. It was the flash of light that gave him away.

He smirked, but made no indication he'd seen the man. Moving slowly, strafing the Apprentice in a circle, he waited to see what was going to happen next.

Vulpesen sighed and picked his saber staff from his belt, looking the Hutt in the eye. "We do not wish to kill. I would prefer to leave my opponents defeated but alive. The problem is, you sith tend to bring it to your last breath. I implore you to reconsider before we find ourselves in a combat situation." It was true that Vulpesen would hate to kill this Hutt, but it was also true that he had other lives to save. Though reluctant, he was ready to fight and he was fairly curious on what fighting style a hutt would use in combat. @[member="Rasho the Hutt"]

"OH HOHOHHOHOHO." The Hutt wiped away a tear of laughter. "You should have been on Metalorn to watch Matsu Ike 'prefer not to kill' thousands of civilians. As if only Sith can murder. OHOHOHOHOHHO."

Mandalorian armor?! Now Break knew he definitely had messed up...His older sister wasn't here to protect him now. This was an opponent he was afraid of. No! This isn't the time for fear. He readied his stance, the best he could for being only 4 ft tall. The child aimed his sonic blaster placing it over his shoulder and aimed for the Jedi he would have to be careful @[member="Sarge Potteiger"] seemed to be a dangerous foe... He watched closely as to start learning his style before they might fight. He pressed the signal for the droids... If he needed a surprise attack it would be now and they would arrive here Shortly.

Kaine was in quite the predicament, attacked from both sides and the back at the same time? Most people would have given up right there, but Kaine still had tricks up his sleeve exactly for something like this. Kaine's form shimmered brightly for a moment in the precious seconds as the three Jedi closed in on the Sith Emperor, and then Kaine's form split apart into four. One remained behind as the three others moved out in between the gaps between each Jedi, only one of them being the real Kaine, and the others being illusion copies. Each one swung in conjunction with eachother at a different Sith, one of the copies attacking A'donari, the other copy attacking Daella, and the real Kaine swinging both blades from the left and the right at Diana. Kaine had to remove this girl from the game as quickly as possible, to get the Blessed Blade out of commission. He didn't care if he killed her, so long as his attack worked.

Vulpesen's eye twitched and Ace shuffled on his shoulder, shifting between darker and lighter shades of blue. "But we are not so quick to kill. I may not know that story, but I doubt she gathered them on a town square, preparing to massacre thousands of innocents. That is what I witnessed on Togoria." He couldn't deny the facts, but he could look at how they occurred. Jedi saved lives. He had saved lives. The sith... The sith only took, and saved when your life benefited them. @[member="Rasho the Hutt"]

He wasn't shocked at seeing several Jedi all surrounding his Emperor, no he wasn't shocked in the slightest, with great power, came the fact that other people with a lot of power could find you. Yes that wasn't the saying, but still. The shadowy figure moved towards his Emperor at a rapid pace. Sadly he didn't have time to execute a flanking maneuver, catch the Jedi from behind. He didn't have time for that.

Moving to Daella, he backed the illusion, crimson blade coming to life in his hands as he swung upwards, trying to cut across the Jedi's chest horizontally and put her down. He was quite aware this wasn't going to work, his time before, as that man, taught him that. Who was that man again? Marc? Marcus? He couldn't quite remember, the darkness had long since clouded his memory as he delved deeper into it.

"Boy, you have no idea what side you're really fighting for," said Rasho with contemptuous sympathy "What she did was exactpy that. Find a Jedi Master to tell you the tale, or ask the protestors outside the Temple. The last two Grandmasters almost executed her for war crimes...but now the Butcher of Metalorn is a hero. So it goes."

@[member="Kiskla Grayson"] felt someone nudge her shoulder playfully.

"Hey" someone said. Under the hood, Josh DragonsFlame shot her a smile as he looked around at the carnage.

"Sorry I'm late" he said. "The bloody Sith attacked during Sao's funeral, I was hoping to attend it and get here in time for the attack, but the Sith decided to Westboro us and it kind of delayed me. I just touched down a few minutes ago" he explained.

"Oh yeah..." he said. "I didn't tell you that she died... I kind of kept it quiet, I didn't want to worry anybody" he said with a sigh. "But that's not the issue right now" he added. "Need help?"

Too much talking, not enough fighting. That's what they were supposed to be doing, but now Rasho had gone and let one of the Jedi just walk right on by. That was kind of, sort of counter-productive to what they were supposed to be doing here. But Rasho was the Master and Eosin the mere apprentice. It was not his place to question such moves. However, this conversation with the brown-haired boyo was begining to wear thin.

"Why waste ya words on dis skeeny man?" Eosin inquired, detaching his lightsaber from its belt. "I'm fixun tah mess summa deese muddafrakkas up. When we gon' do dat?"

A crimson blade sprung to life in his hand. Was this the Jedi Rasho had been talking about early? It didn't matter. They were all as thick headed as the one he mentioned. Otherwise they wouldn't be Jedi. Perhaps Eosin didn't stand a chance against this man, but he didn't care. He had to fight something, or he was going to go mad.

Vulpesen's eyes turned to @[member="Eosin Ryj"]. I'll admit Hutt, you had me wondering for a moment. I wavered, but now your friend has strengthened my resolve. I have no explanation for Master Ike, but I do know one thing." His eyes turned back to @[member="Rasho the Hutt"], and a telepathic command turned Ace's eyes to the apprentice. "I am a jedi, and I will defend these people from the rule of the sith. There are jedi who act rather dark, and there are sith who show some compassion. The difference is, the jedi hate when ow darkness is needed. The sith will show compassion when it suits them. All other times, you sith will serve only yourselves." Ace's fur finally settled, becoming a pure and light shade of blue while Vulpesen's lightsaber moved into a battle ready stance, albeit unlit.

Nico Ike Qarmast

The Wayward of Clan Qarmast
Nico moved, she had followed with Raso and Vulps but stayed back to remained out of sight. Her gauntlets at the ready but they wouldn't be needed while the sith engaged the jedi and her lithe form went into the vents. Slowly Nico crawled using all her training to stay focused and quiet, to keep her force signature low and not raise suspicions. There was only one thing she had in mind to mess with the shipyards and while fighting a Hutt would be somethign to see... She preferred this method and goal. The vent led her towards more vents and she just needed to find one of the computers while speaking on a comlink to @[member="Serenity"]. The datapads and ICE breaker hacking tool in her belt.

Kiskla's powerful legs were pumping now, uninhibited and without any pesky distractions. But just for good measure, she followed the direction of the fanged woman, bounding and twisting over bits of fallen courtyard architecture and deflecting bolts all the while. Outlasting members of her legion followed.

The woman who she had sent flying released her grip on her lightsaber, and Kiskla used this as an opportunity to disarm the Sith. The hilt twirled toward her as she called out to it, and soon the metal of that blade connected with the hilt of her own against her palm. That would certainly put her former opponent at a downright disadvantage.
Her precognitive senses peaked, however, when she couldn't see the body of the vampire; but could only sense her thirst for vengeance.

Vengeance was a popular topic these days, Kiskla considered as she clipped the woman's hilt to where her own usually hung. No matter. In the meantime, she wouldn't worry herself with trivial apprentices and bloodthirsty acolytes who operated under their brainwashed doctrines. There was a terrible outburst of dark side energy up near the epicentre of New Coral city and it demanded her curiosity. It was during this pause that a familiar voice again came above the dust and fire.

Kiskla didn't even know who Sao was, the only woman Josh had ever mentioned was Asha. She assumed it was a similar relationship. Oh. Well that was awkward. "I'm sorry." The girl replied, ducking as a stray piece of rubble came flying overheard. She'd address that emotional situation later, in the meantime. "The control centre. The Emperor is there and we have a chance for his surrender if we act quickly." She jerked her head violently, indicating that's the direction @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] should pursue. But a head jerk wasn't all she got, her own lean body followed her direction to the control centre. A few of the members of Daella's strike team were still standing outside the crumpled gates, and looked relieved to have some of their brethren join them. The Master curled around the troopers and through the gates, where the smoke had now dissipated. Rapidly, she drank in the scene. Two Jedi masters engaged with four illusions and a Sith knight. No good. Kiskla knew from her learnings that these dopplegangers could be waned if their origin was injured or otherwise distracted. Kaine was powerful, and breaking his focus would take some work.
She opted for injured.
But which was the real? She extended her senses to see which one hate the most, before deciding that the one striking Diana was the most bitter of all the illusions, and was therefore likely to be the most solid.
Diana and Daella were unparalleled with their bladework, so Kiskla stepped in with her prowess; The Force. She extended her arm, using her blade to direct her focus as she maintained her tight grip. White sparks spiralled and connected the Electric Judgement along her wrist, her hilt, and her cerulean blade itself. She waited until there was no more room for it to grow before sending a belch of light side energy and power in the form of hot, painful lightning through the blade of her lightsaber toward the Emperor's battle-engaged body.

Shipyards - Blast Door between Hangar and Command Center

Sochi turned her head just slightly, looking from the corner of her eyes as Eenes began to speak. Sochi's eyes followed the girl as she took acouple of steps forward as she spoke. Sochi looked on as her comrade asked her questions, and made her point; valid. Sochi maneuvered her head slightly, her head lekku moving in the same general area where they sat. It would seem this Hutt had an answer for everything. When Vulpesen offered the option of surrender once more, the Hutt began to laugh; Sochi squinted her eyes simultaneously with his action.

Sochi remained quiet still, not seeing much point to the conversation. As much as she would love to avoid this, they had people to save. Time was wasting, and this confrontation...it was inevitable. There was no need for them to defend their cause, their principles. In reality all the sith was doing was trying to get underneath their skin; make them lose focus. Then there was the sudden spring to life of a crimson lightsaber, followed by words from the Nautolan. Sochi inhaled, and continued looking at the others would stood in their way. Then Vulpesen assumed his battle ready stance. Sochi slid her lightsaber hilt further from her sleeve, now visible to the others.

Her blades deactivated as Saki brought her bracers up to guard. It was rather shocking, but not paralyzing her reaction. "I didn't expect cortosis". Aerrah raised an arm in defense to ward the strike. Truly cortosis is an amazing material, being able to deactivate a saber like no other material could. Another advantage her opponent had but not one she couldn't deal with. Just keep the blades waiting until the right time to strike. Speaking of which, she launched up her free hand, saber acting as a fist filler. Complementing the mass her glove also imparted, to sneak right up in between her foes arms seeking her jaw for an uppercut.

Eosin noted the Ashlan Wolf roosting on the young Jedi's shoulder. He had no idea what it was, but the whole color-changing thing was going to give someone a seizure. Best to be rid of it. Eosin reached out with the Force, seizing the glorified rodent without much warning. Within the same moment, he flung it towards the nearest wall with enough force to shatter every bone in the creature's body. Which, admittedly, was not actually that much force.

"Ya had a rat on ya shouldah. Got it for ya." Eosin announced. "Ya can tank me for dat laytah."

Eosin wasn't particularly skilled in telekinetics. Force Push wasn't something he could readily do as well as most other Force Users. In fact, Eosin's ability to draw on the Force only extended so far as he could speed and strengthen his own movements, but even that was only rudimentary as of now. He could, however, usually levitate small boxes and other menial objects without too much exertion. In this case, a fifteen centimeter tall critter was perfectly within his skillset.

Ace barked as the force grabbed him, and Vulpesen quickly used his own abilities to pull him back, sending a glare at @[member="Eosin Ryj"] as Ace's fur turned a dark shade. "No one touches my Ace." One side of his saber ignited, showing a black core with a golden blade. Vulpesen would never make the first strike, but the second and every strike afterwards, were fair game. And god help those who try to kill his companion. "But you sir, have made a terrible mistake." Five daggers floated from the shadow's robes, pointing themselves at the foolish apprentice. With a flick of his hand, Vulpesen sent two of the daggers towards the Nautolan, hurling them at a bullet like speed. One might be possible to block, he doubted the apprentice was skilled enough to block two.

Saki

Came in like a wrecking maul
@[member="Aerrah Katamirth"]

Saki may or may not have fully thought the entire act through but as her arms came down on the arm with force it was like a thunder crack. Her feet coming out to kick as the force seemed to make time stand still while the gloved fist impacted her chin. The blow making her teeth rattle and her head snapped back as she went backward. Kicking out with her feet to try and connect with the apprentices throat while she twisted sideways so her second boot would connect near her heart if she did with her throat, the taste of copper came to her mouth where she felt her tooth loosen and spit sending a loogie of blood and spit.

LOCATION: THE BLAST DOORS, THE BLAST DOORS
OBJECTIVE: ???

As a Naotolan slave in a brass bikini, it probably wasn't her place to speak in typical social convention, or whatever excuse for 'social convention' involved brass bikinis. Being a spunky lass however, Zoe Kelborn wasn't one to wait her turn to talk.

"From a perspective a forceless woman in the galaxy the only difference I see in the Jedi and Sith are the color of their sabers. Both mandate their beliefs to the magical, both are the true masters of their government whether it's blatant or not. Both slaughter people by the thousands in pursuit of the other's annihilation. If you really think that you're Jedi order is as noble as you claim then you're just another sleeping cog in the political machine. At least the hutt is honest about his position." She said. The Jedi man, despite his faults, seemed of a good sort, and Zoe wasn't gonna lie to him. To her this war seemed little more than a couple of wizards heading to their restroom with their measuring sticks, seeing which one was stronger while the justifying their actions. Damn forcies.

Unfortunately for Vulpesen, Eosin was not going to stand there and wait for him to catch Ace, speak a little bit, withdraw the daggers from his robes, angle them at Eosin, and then fling them. Eosin was not the type to remain stationary when his opponents were distracted. Why would he? This wasn't some kind of movie where opponents sat their and just watched each other do things.

So when Vulpesen's attention turned from the Nautolan to his projectile rodent, Eosin was already sprinting forward. Far before Vulpesen could retrieve his daggers, or even before he could finish his first sentence, Eosin was upon him. His saber swung down in a brilliant crimson arc, intent on dismembering the hand Vulpesen had outstretched to catch his rodent gone projectile. It was a simple man who brought a valued pet to the battlefield and didn't expect to be exploited for it.
