The ship continued to rock back and forth during the chase between Lara and Lok, and the bounty hunters whom deemed it wise to chase them. Lucky the R2 astromech droid hadn't stopped chirping loudly like a bird to express it's happiness in the adventure taking place, it gave the little droid a chance to prove exactly how useful it was to it's new owner. Loop-de-loops, barrel rolls, and several near collisions took place during the past five minutes. Lara was sure if she listened close enough, she could hear Lok swearing in the background.

Lok.. Lara gazed over her shoulder, when her mind drifted to her new friend. He was hurt. Badly. Despite how well they were doing currently, what would happen if the bounty hunters caught them and boarded their vessel? Lucky was just a little droid, he may be able to pack a punch if required too..but not against these type of people. Lara knew somewhat how to use the blaster that Gabriel had gifted her not so long ago, but against people who wield these things for a profession? she knew she was greatly outmatched in skill. The only person they could truly depend upon to save their butts was Lok, and she couldn't risk his life like that. And she wouldn't let him either.

"Lucky stay here and keep them off our tails. By the time I'm back, I want the ship ready to jump to lightspeed, we will set course for coruscant, but stop mid-way during the hyperlane and switch direction. It'll make it harder for the bounty hunters to find us that way." And Lok. Lucky beeped once in confirmation, and turned its attention back to the chase. Lara took her leave from the cockpit, to go and find Lok within the turret. It wasn't far away, the vessel she had been gifted wasn't exactly big, but it was small and comfy enough for her to like it. The lion's expression was malicious and fuelled by focus, bursts of plasma painted the sky in a colour array of colours. For something so destructive, it was in a strange way beautiful.

Lara had been so light on her feet, Lok hadn't heard her arrival until she coughed loudly enough into her closed hand to gain his attention. She was sure his eyes gave away his confusion, but within a moment he spoke up with a grunt. "Lara? Why aren't ya' pilotin' the ship?" Lara kept eye contact with Lok. She knew during her time on the streets of Nar Shaddaa that if someone was a bad liar they avoided eye contact. She didn't want to leave Lok, to most people he seemed like someone who only cared about himself, but Lara knew differently. This is why he deserved to live. "There's a problem with the escape pod, me and Lucky aren't sure if one of the bounty hunters have managed to latch themselves onto it. Could you please check on it?" Lok looked disapprovingly between the turret and the door. But a sigh had escaped his lips and he gave in, with a simple nod he followed Lara to the escape pod further down the small hallway.

The walk was awkward for Lara. She rubbed her hand on the opposite arm tenderly, she felt upset, scared, and fearful. How on earth could she manage without him? But when her green eyes looked back up to the injured pirate, it reminded her why she had to stop being so selfish and worried. Lok needed medical attention desperately, he was painted like a canvas with burns, cuts, and other weird looking blemishes from the previous fights they ahd been through together. She lowered her gaze to the metal floor when they stopped infront of the escape pod, just before Lok wandered inside, Lara caught his hand. Their eyes met, just like that time in the nightclub not so long ago, it was when Lara first learned there was more to Lok than met the eye. He had saved her then, and Gabriel. She..had to do this. She bit her lip, and tried to hide the tears that were threatening to escape her eyes, but it was no good - they trickled down her ivory coloured cheeks when she whispered the next few words; "I'm sorry." With as much strength as she could muster, she shoved Lok in hope he wouldn't land to badly on his injuries into the escape pod.

Just as quick as the lion was pushed, he was quick to try and twist around to pounce back inside the ship but Lara had made sure to auto-lock the door behind him. He pounded and pounded his paws on the door, shouting loudly and desperately at Lara, but she couldn't hear him through the dense metal. The young girl's long blonde hair shielded her expression, and Lok in the corner of her eye away from sight to be able to muster the willpower to click the button to descend the escape pod into space. With a single click, she felt the ship lurch from where the escape pod had left the freighter. Lara watched the pod move further and further away from sight, to ensure that the bounty hunters didn't notice it, or try to shoot it down. The previous tactic that Lok had pulled was enough to gain their attention for now, to avoid such a small thing.

Lara turned around, and ran as fast as her little feet could take her back to the cockpit, her trusty side-kick Lucky was where she had left him, continuing to keep the vessel afloat in avoiding anymore shooting or attacks from the bounty hunters on their tail. They had moved away from the travel lanes, and had finally arrived high enough in the atmosphere for the jump to lightspeed to take place. She sat herself down in the captain seat, buckled herself in, and glanced down to her friend. Her voice was wobbly, and in all honesty she felt like crying - but they had to get away, at least then she'd have some time to think on what was the best thing to do next..

"Lucky, make the jump to lightspeed!" With a loud chirp and whistle, the droid activated the jump, and the stars, ships, and galaxy around them disappeared, and turned into a beautiful array of colours, dancing and twinkling past their windows. Whatever adventure lay ahead for Lara next was unknown, all she could do is trust that whatever strange gods were above looking out for her, would continue to do exactly that.

If the boumty hunters involved wish to continue to pursue the bounty for any storyline purposes, feel free to go ahead! But for now this thread is 'finished' until we all perhaps meet again :p
