The Living Force

Veiere sat poised as he listened to those that gave their theories and expressed their feelings on the subject of death and what this could mean to a Jedi. Among them, perhaps the most disturbing that he heard was that of Alexandra's, the older female who had taken a noticeably sheltered and withdrawn approach towards her involvement with their Order, spoke of the afterlife being a place of horror and suffering. It concerned Veiere greatly that she believed in this so strongly and yet he too had heard others speak of the nether with such a dark tone. He was not one of those who had experienced such a hellish environment nor did he have the answers or explanation as to how those that had, had come back from such a thing, if that was really the truth at all yet at the end of the day, moving into peoples spiritual beliefs or the age of question of what lay beyond the realm of the living was not the purpose of the final precept, but rather to express and guide those towards understanding how Death was to be respected by the living.

"Regardless of your views of where we go after we die, this line of the code is meant to represent a mentality and respect for the natural cycle of life itself. Everything that comes into being, has an end date. It is the course of nature that we are born, live out our existence in whatever fulfillment the Force wills of us, and then pass on into the nether, for whatever that might be. What I don't want here is for you all to get caught up on what awaits us beyond death, that's a question that has plagued generations but this precept..." He paused a moment, looking to them all to ensure they were still following and taking in his words before continuing "Encourages us not to fear it. Death is inevitable, there is no way around this nor should there be. Nature is the heart of the Force and to try to manipulate or redirect the course of nature would simply be for us to work with abilities or knowledge that are for lack of a better word, unnatural".

"Look at things this way, as an example...-Murder. It's something we strive to deter, we hope to keep all peoples safe...-Yet we do nothing to halt the natural cause of death in others. Certainly there are medical facilities that work on the livelihood and medical health of peoples but only so much can be done. When someone takes a life, death can almost be felt within the air, to those trained in the force. The sudden loss of life, taken not by nature but sentient design wounds the force and leaves an impression in the veil that is felt be many who pass through it. Such Force Nexus' have been formed this way such as the orbit of Endor for which some of you might be familiar with the battle that happened there long ago..." The battle of Endor, the Rebel Alliance against the Galactic Empire, many still heard and read about this tale even in this day and age, it was a part of political history that would be remembered for generations more, the day the Emperor was defeated by the hand of one revered Grand-master and founder of the re-established Jedi Order following the Dark Times.

"This precept challenges you to consider the balance of nature's design on all life. Do not fear death for your time will come like all others, we all have that in common regardless of our backgrounds, species or gender; do not walk freely into it's embrace for the good you can still achieve among the living world...-Respect the natural cycle of life. Keep others from dishonoring the Force. Life and death, the will of the Force, it is a circle in which one cannot be complete with out the other...".

It defiantly looked as if Asheda had much to learn about the force, but finally understood something from what master Arenais said about the unnatural death of someone causing a disturbance a ripple in the force. The young Togurta had been near people a few time in her life that met their end with not to proper means, each time she had felt a strange feeling in the air. At first, she had dismissed it as gut feeling and maybe the force warning her about a possible danger, but never actually thinking it was the force gaining a scar, one that force sensitive could feel.

Even if it wasn’t what the lesson was fully about, Ahseda was starting to understand the force as an all-powerful being, or entity of some sort, a ethereal creature that banded the galaxy together in a natural order. An order that could easily be broken with destruction and death, now she understood what they Jedi were to do, keep the force right, balance out the darkness in the galaxy. For one of the first times in a while she was seriously contemplating something, the whole talking about the force was though provoking to her, and it was fascinating.

As the other student voice or though about their own things she look up at the sky, now with much better view on the galaxy as a whole.
