The Lost Awakens

The Unknown Regions. Artemis-09 supposed it wasn't as unknown to her after eight hundred years of exploration. The Lost Hope hurtled through hyperspace as she adjusted her left arm. The synthetic was nowhere near her prime, her chassis now more patches than the original durasteel the Silentium had used to create her and her brothers and sisters, of which there were now very few. The last time she had seen one of her own kind had been before the Four Hundred Year Darkness, before the Gulag Plague. Longer than that since she had stood beside one in battle.
She sighed, blinking her blue ocular optics. She was coming out of hyperspace, now. Where should she go this time? There was that one planetoid where she had been eaten by a rancor. That had been-

Wait. There wasn't supposed to be a fleet of ships here. She was supposed to be alone. Artemis stared at the fleet before her, leaning back in her seat. Hmm. Now, this was curious. Something she hadn't expected. Something new, which she craved after this long.
So she kept one hand near the controls of her weapons, and the other next to the comm system, waiting for these newcomers to make their move. She certainly hoped it was diplomatic. One starfighter versus a fleet wasn't exactly a fair fight, after all.

The Queens Chariot

Ice blue eyes wandered over the obsidian halls of the commanding frigate of The Awoken Fleet...the heels of her boots clanking along its steel framed floors as the Ice Queen made her way towards her own chambers. The blue skinned woman often found herself wandering around this newly designed ship rather often...it was rather nice given how no one really came around and disturbed her. Much more private than the Pillar of Ascension. The Blood Matron had done well manufacturing such a beauty.

The Awoken had been growing handsomely. Surprising to The Queen given just how different they were compared to other factions.

She saw the world through a different lens...no longer confined by earthly desires or faith. She had entered the one state of existence that truly made sense...to long as The Dark Side and The Light Side played tug-a-war with her mind and the minds of so many other lost souls...the Sith and The Jedi squabbling over superiority...the two were like children...so naive and blind. Driven by their own desires and set of ideals...most of which contradicted one another.

Winter breathed...inhaling deeply and filling her lunges to capacity before exhaling. Before suddenly comms were pulled through the speakers of her throne room.

"Your majesty. A rouge ship has appeared among us and is unlisted in the guest list...what is your command?" One of her royal guard asked curiously...Winter narrowed her eyes and scoffed. Looking towards the large windows of her throne room as he placed her hands behind her back.

"Patch me through to the ship..." Winter demanded, waiting a few moments before going on. "Unidentified Traveler...you are currently in the midst of The Awoken...and as of now you address their Queen. I wish not to engage in hostility...i only ask one question. Are you friend...or foe? If you are friend. We welcome you among us...if foe. We suggest you leave now...or feel our wrath."

Winter said this simply...bluntly. Not bothering to sugar coat it in any way. And as she approached her throne, Winter took a seat and crossed her leg over her knee...patiently awaiting the strangers answer.

Artemis stared at the massive ship in front of her, her blue optics widening slightly. It was certainly impressive. Well crafted, beautiful. She had seen few like it in her eight centuries, and that was saying something. The Lost always appreciated a good piece of tech, especially a ship. Her own starfighter seemed infantile in comparison, but she supposed they were for different purposes.
When the transmission came through, Artemis-09 blinked. Friendly? This was turning out to be a rather interesting venture. And interesting was what she lived for, these days.
With the press of a switch, her own synthetic voice coming through:
"Awoken Queen, I am Artemis-09 of the Lost. If you would have me aboard, I would welcome the chance to greet one such as yourself."
The voice synthesizer wasn't quite perfect, the dual-toned voice it produced just slightly different than most humanoids, while still retaining a bit of a metallic quality.
Now, she waited for the Awoken's permission to come aboard.

Those ice cold optics would traverse over the view port of her chambers as the stars in the distant sparkled and danced in the emptiness of space...she was her home now...no longer would she confine herself to a planet and be limited by laws of social hierarchy...out here, in the wilds. Where the extraordinary and devastating happened in the blink of an eye...thats where she belonged. The Awoken were her family now...and she...

She was their Queen.

And as her gaze lowered to the floor when the mysterious stranger replied over communications...apparently desiring to meet Winter herself...how amusing. It had been a while since anyone had sought Winters company...and although this could of been a poor attempt at an assassination, that thought intrigued The Queen as well. Entertainment was so rare these days, and at this point it mattered not the form of which it came in.

"Very well then stranger...The Royal Guard will escort you to my chambers...you will however be relived of your weaponry. Many children wander the corridors of this vessel...last thing we need is an unfortunate shootout." Winter explained, hanging up comms and looking to her guard that stood beside her. "Go greet our new guest...i have a matter i must attend to before she arrives." She mused...the woman nodded her head and was off to the hanger bay.
