Strengths:
The Lotus-II has a suit of high efficiency solar panels that, when deployed, resemble sails in addition to its reactor. These can be used in most systems where stars are prevalant, except in remote sections of The Outer Rim, Wild Space and Unknown Regions. There function is to either allow for rapid recharging of the ships core or during combat to provide a boost to one of the ships systems.
Features a 6-person escape pod with piloting station, external holocameras, emergency homing beacon, two weeks of rations and 6 deluxe medkits, hyperdrive and maneuvering jets for a safer and less bumpy landing.
Weaknesses:
While the sails can be useful during combat they are also a weakness. The section of hull the sails extend from is thinner and it becomes exposed when they are in use.
The Lotus-II has a long prow which is retractable, yet in its retracted state limits the cargo hold space on the ship. Furthermore, while it can be used for ramming another ship, if it breaks off it makes the front of the starship more to boarding.
Description:
Built to replace The Holdover, an Aurore-Class II Freighter that Lola An’Arach won in a sabaac game on Maramere, The Lotus-II, manufactured by The Aegis Corporation, was designed to be both cargo vessel for the An’Arach’s as well as a livable ship for their highly nomadic lifestyle.
The Lotus II a relatively average cruiser with a few highlights: the solar panels, expanded cargo hold and ramming prow, along with an array of armaments in case they are attacked by hostile entities or need to come to the aid of the Confederacy with which the An’Arach’s are aligned.
