The memory game

Blackened Valkyrie — The 14th Wife
"I think maybe
I'd be fine
if I lost my mind"

seventy four people she killed in the past four months. Each of them gaining her closer and closer to the man who took the mask from her grasp. Vi'kas Mirtis was indeed a difficult one to find. She didn't know much about him on the the dirty side just general information she'd gotten from an information broker. He went by an alias calling himself [member="Lord Ajihad"]. Teresa didn't know where this man was either. Just name alias and a contact for his personal holo. It was surprising how much general information was on the holonet.

She sat down at the terminal and input the contacts information. If it was right or wrong all she would lose was five credit and a little time. In some way she was enjoying the hunt. The terminal would ring a moment. As someone picked up she would see the man. A face she'd not forgotten. “Hello Mr Mirtis. I believe you have something that belongs to me. Now I'm all for striking a deal. Something you want for the mask of my ancestor. What'd you say sir?” She remained to keep a straight face unsure if he'd be interested or shut her off. If he did it would take more hunting till a face to face meeting.

Drifting just outside the elusive Ghost Nebula was a single Phasma-Class Interceptor, a stealth-capable starfighter developed for the Sith Assassins by Krayt Industries. It wasn't an all-too impressive ship, perhaps a little below what was to be expected of a full-blown Sith Lord. The Demon's Fist had never really put much thought into getting a personal corvette, something he sorely regretted as he sat cramped in the cockpit of the small fighter.
He raised an eyebrow as a holocall came across his communications array. Not many had this number, and he did not recognize the caller. Misdial? Perhaps. But the assassin had a deep feeling that this attempt at reaching him was certainly on purpose. So he would grace the caller with his attention. He figured that if anything it was potential client looking to put a target on someone's head. It was just a bit unusual for them to be reaching him on his personal number.
He pulled the embroidered hood up over his head so that his eyes didn't show. Most of his upper face was cloaked in shadow, giving him a rather mysterious yet discreet appearance. Very becoming of an assassin.
He accepted the call, a critical eye scanning the form of the girl in front of him. She seemed a little familiar, but from where? It wasn't until she mentioned the mask that he was able to put a name to a face. Teresa Shan, the Revan-obsessed maniac who had dueled him for the artifact on galactic television. He was still a bit sour towards the Black Tie Syndicate for turning such a thing into a televised event, though he couldn't really blame them. What else would you do when you already have more money than you know what to do with?
He remained silent for many moments after she spoke. Not many referred to him by his true name. This girl had obviously done her homework, though if it was solely to impress him then she would be greatly disappointed. Not much surprised him any more. Still, it seemed she wanted to bargain. There wasn't much he would take for the mask, though he supposed it would only be fair to let this one plead her case.
"I suppose it would depend on what you can offer me. What do you have that I could possibly desire?"

She was glad he'd struck an interest in the proposal. There was only two things she knew a rough location of. Somthing money couldn't buy let alone things not many knew about anymore. "It depends on what you want I know of a location that holds knowledge of the past and future or a device that rips the information from the mind of anyone you place it on. I know more where that one is than the other." She said looking at the hooded figure. Teresa could tell by his surroundings he was in a ship. One that looked cramped lacking much space to move.

Her time was running short with the terminal and laying low ment she couldn't force people to let her have longer. It would draw unneeded attention. "Well this is my location." She said sending the coordinates of the world and place she was holding up in. "Meet me there and we can discuss matters further."

Ajihad had his own business to attend to, and he was certainly the higher party in these negotiations. He would not be meeting her anywhere. He would where he wanted on his own terms. If she wanted a deal, this was the only way she was going to get it.
"I have no plans on meeting you anywhere unless it is to make an exchange. We will discuss a deal now, or not at all. I can say I am mildly interested in you first offer, though I will need more details. Other than that, there are a few things in this galaxy I would be willing to take for the Mask. I can think of a few such things now, though the details of these items will cost you." The assassin wanted to ensure she was serious about wanting the Mask, and he wanted to see how far she would go to attain it.

She was running out of time and fast the longer the call ran the more likely it would cut out. Her fist clenched wanting to punch the exterior of the terminal, but she understood his caution. Last time she had tried to kill him for the mask. The mask she claimed, the mask that was stolen, the mask that belonged to her heritage. "It's called the pool of knowledge. I've a rough location but it's not something I could simply put in my pocket. There is two ways to it. Through the relm of the force that apparently spreads further than our own galaxy. Then there is a physical location. My scorce was reliable for the location. Other information after that was from others so I'm not sure if to trust it. What they say is even looking at the pool is enough to insight visions of the throne of balance. Although if you have something else in mind then say."

She was wanting to know what this cost was. It was good to have her options open. Something that let plans be more... Flexible. Still she'd go to any length to secure the mask. She go to any length to ensure his memory's we're completed. The gaps tormented her like someone had taken her own memories and crushed them.

Ajihad knew what the Pool of Knowledge was. Any student of Sith history knew the rumors surrounding it. He knew it was a source of immense power, but it came at a cost. Power at the level of Abeloth was not something to be messed with, even for a Sith Lord. It was a valuable and interesting piece of information, perhaps something he might be willing to look in to in the future. However, it was not something that aligned with his current goals.
"I would have to decline. Perhaps someday, but that piece of information is something best lost in the annals of history. I suggest you do your best to forget it. Either way, this is what I offer. I will give you small bits of information on several items. If you choose to know more about these, the information will cost 2.5 million credits apiece. The retrieval of any of these items will result in a bargain for the Mask. Do we have a deal?"

A red light blinked at the top of the screen signalling she had sixty seconds left. "I don't have that much. Feth I barely have a hundred credits to my name. Tracking you down was costly and no assassination hits pay out that much unless it's the kind that are a suicide trip." She'd slip another credit into the terminal when no one looked. It should buy her five more minutes. The bith behind her would probably be agitated from the wait but desperation outweighed the risk of some civilian starting on her. She'd be able to end him before he had chance to land a hit, probably. "Isn't there any other way we can make this deal work. It's clear I'm willing to do what I can to secure the mask." She'd let out a sigh. "I can meet you at a location of your choice. I'm sure we can come to something reasonable." The bith began to make grunting noises as he reached for Teresa's shoulder and swung her around. He'd be inside the area that the hologram projected would pick up. She retaliated with a simple swing with the force backing it to it's face knocking it out stone cold. "So, you gonna work with me on this?"

Ajihad gave a bored yawn. He really had no desire to give up the mask unless he got something very substantial in return. However, he was in a good mood and figured he could at least give her a shot at what she wanted.
"Very well. Simply put, I seek power. If you can offewr me substantial enough power to ecplise my want of the mask, then we can negotiate. If not, it seems you are out of luck"
