The Mercenary Returns (Mit Tuxaire)

[Nefertari Sovint]

A few months have passed since Nefertari returned from Hoth.​

Many things have happened since then; she has taken a padawan and begun to learn Soresu.​

One person has been on her mind quite often: Mit Tuxaire.​

Still, she doesn't think they are likely to meet again.​

Little does she know, something is about to happen at the Ossus Jedi Temple.​

Mit stood at the main gate of the Ossus temple, waiting as Jedi upon Jedi tried to find something to use as an excuse to kick him out. "Would you just let me speak with her?" He asked. One of the people shrugged and hit a button on their comlink, presumably summoning Nefertari.

My padawan was off planet. I was helping a couple younglings with Shii-Cho techniques when a protocol droid rushed in
"Knight Sovint, There's a person looking for you at the gate"

"Odd...I don't ever get visitors" I said to myself

I went to the main gate, I was surprised to see [member="Mit Tuxaire"] sanding there.
"Knight Sovint" somebody at the gate said "this punk wanted to see you. I know nobody comes here to see you, so I was suspicious."

"Control your anger" I said to him "I met him on Hoth. Don't worry, it's not like he will bite you"
Moving up to my friend, I wondered what brought him to Ossus
"Hello Mit, how did you know to find me here?"

I looked up at [member="Nefertari Sovint"] and grinned. "Oh I don't know, I might bite them if they try and keep me away for any longer."

I bowed and kissed Nef's hand. "Its not too difficult, Jedi tend to gravitate to temples, I've found."

The person from before glared at me, I just rolled my eyes.

 

[Nefertari Sovint]

"A humorous gentleman. You have not changed a bit. Well, welcome to Ossus. If you're with me, you shouldn't be thrown out."
What Mit had said was true, Jedi did tend to gravitate to temples.
"I am glad to see you again. Come, I'll show you around"
I grabbed [member="Mit Tuxaire"]'s hand and walked off, turning my head and sticking my tounge out at the gate guy.

"Unless they throw you out as well." I said, I followed [member="Nefertari Sovint"]
"How have you been Nef?"

 

[Nefertari Sovint]

"I would fight it until I got out the front gate. I have been quite good...though I didn't think I'd see you again."
When we were out of earshot, I turned to [member="Mit Tuxaire"]
"But I'm glad you came"
The both of us went through the temple, turning heads most of the way.
"So what brings you to Ossus? Don't tell me you came purely on my account"

I frowned a bit, and turned to [member="Nefertari Sovint"]
"Im afraid I did."
I kept on walking, curiosity had gotten me into trouble before, it probably would now...
"I couldn't just sit there, knowing that id never see you again." I said with a little grin.

My face brightened "Really? That's sweet...Honestly, you have been on my mind quite a bit."
I paused for a moment "You just seem...cool"

I just looked around, poking my head down hallways, I asked Nef "Oh, whats that?" About a hundred times before I came back to the conversation.
"Cool? What crazy person would think im cool?" I asked, nudging her playfully.

"This crazy Jedi would!" I said, nudging him back

This man was curious about the temple, that was good

"So, apart from blowing up walls with your minds, what do you jedi do here?" I asked, "All i've seen is people meditating."

[member="Mit Tuxaire"]'s question was valid "The Jedi were once the guardians of peace in the galaxy. A lot of them meditate. When I'm not training my padawan, I usually help the younglings with their training. Of course, when the Sith antagonize other planets, we are usually the first there."
I laughed "Blowing up walls, that has not happened for a while"
After a moment of thought, I said "Many of us lead fairly ordinary lives. Though we train in the Force and other things as well. For instance, I could do this..."
I playfully force pulled Mit toward me.

"Hey now! No force magic... You know I can't use that stuff!" I said as [member="Nefertari Sovint"] pulled me towards her.
I stumbled forward and pulled her into a hug. "Feth i'd have gone insane by now If i had to sit and meditate all day." I said with a grin, playfully shoving her back a bit.

"You have no idea" I said in agreement "If nothing else, it's fun to watch padawans face the trials. You wield a vibro-sword don't you? Are you good?"

"I wouldn't say good. I mostly just swish it around until the opponent laughs themselves to death." I said, shrugging.

"Haha, I'm trying to imagine that. It's very funny."
It was clear I was losing [member="Mit Tuxaire"]'s interest.
"Is there anything in particular you'd like to see?"

"I'd love to see a dual, or some force training." I said. The temple was interesting, but it was so monotonous, almost neverending hallways...

"I'm sure I can find somebody who'd want to duel."
Most of the others were out. Eventually, I found another knight who was up for a duel.
The three of us took an empty training room. We replaced our lightsabers with training sabers.
"Wouldn't want to off our own, now would we?"
He shifted into Djem so and I went into Makashi. The sound of sabers moving through the air soon filled the room.

I watched, intrigued at the slashes and jabs. "How can you keep track of all these styles?" I wondered aloud.
I leaned against a pillar, and watched the two duelists.
